when your world crash to a hault

I too have had my world come crashing to a hault. I'm to the point that I don't think I can ever believe anything a man tells me. I was in a relationship in which the guy told me everything was fantastic, when we were together it was great. He was supposed to come over one weekend, but didn't come and didn't call. He had even suggested we take a Caribbean vacation together, and then he is gone????? Just doesn't make sense. How can it go from everything being perfect to having nothing at all? I find it hard to trust again to start over. What do others do?? It is easy to say "move on", but I live in a rural area, where the opportunity to meet others is quite slim!

Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all?

Yes, I met a guy once from another site. I'd NEVER do it again. He did not appeal to me at all, and had horrible teeth. I want to know what the person looks like that I am writing to before I agree to a meet. Maybe it is shallow, but unless there is some attraction, what is the point?
