How many guys or gals would consider dating a physically disabled person?
Posted: 11/5/2008 6:24:51 PM
i would date a disabled person being one myself i understand that they are people just like anyone but one thing i have noticed on this and other 'DISABILITY' forums is that people automatically think that if someone is in a wheelchair they would have to take up the role of care giver. Im wheelcahir bound and perfectly capable of looking after myself thankyou and not only that i also care for a disabled brother who is in a better condition than myself so open your mind a little you may see a whole new world. please remember disabled not unabled.

Would you date someone who is disabled?
Posted: 11/5/2008 6:12:19 PM
Yes i would however i cant really say no as im disabled myself. however can i ask a question of those who have said no because they wouldnt want to be a care giver, what on earth makes you think you will? would a man with one arm be incapable of looking after himself or a person with hearing problems? im wheelchair bound but perfectly able to look after myself and would just like to point out that their are services for those who have difficulty so if you opened your heart and your mind you may actually have an extremely rewarding experience and find Mr/Mrs right in the wheelchair you so fear!

The one date i would like to relive wasnt really a date. I was in a long distance relationship and i was really in love, one evening we went to the pub and i was wearing a new red dress i'd bought a song came on the juke box 'Lady in Red' and my guy took me in hand danced me around the pub then proposed unfortunately the one i'd like to erase was a year later when he dumped me for my best mate

Should people with trust issues date normal people?
Posted: 8/27/2008 4:35:02 AM
let me start by asking two important questions 1) why is someone who has trust issues not normal in your opinion and 2) what is 'normal' these days anyway.
I have what would be termed as a trust issue in the fact that i find it hard but if you had been through the hell i've been through so would you. I am normal more so coz i dont segregate people who have had a hard time so why should i not date a normal person who exactly should i date? Maybe someone disabled oh no wait a minute thats me too take a long hard look in the mirror do you trust everyone completely totally and unreservebly right from the word go? some how i think not!!!
