Flew down to see mate in Nelson Bay
Picked me up from airport

'Cool you brought me some muddies'
'Not exactly'
"well whats in the boxes'
you dont want to know'

WARNING
Do not leave curious friends alone with boxes
especially if those boxes contain death adders
[was just as well they had cooled down during the flight]

The program teaching kids rights and responsibilities
is working pretty well
Now incorporating teaching which snakes are quick
...
.
bubbles bounce in candlelight
fragmenting a smiling face
sliver of a silvered moon
into a more perfect place
where yesterdays faultlines
no longer slipping far away
offer new redemption
in another game to play
as nothing else matters
thus so many lives to live
bubbles in the candlelight
have so much to give
..
.
[only gone three days and I'm already booking tickets]

Hi Pickles
Long time no see
Definitely lost patience with those idiots
..
.
as it simply doesn't matter, who am I to care
paint your lurid pictures dark, illuminating fear
tell me then, who is this death, but an end to sorrow
tears of a young suffragette branded here tommorrow
offer me your nightmares, offer me raw pains
I have played in hell itself, only good remains
when ever lightning strikes, no one knows the place
offer me one final kiss, for death I know your face
in mirrors; in reflection; while demons fear to tread
angels hunt the darkness, where truth is seldom bred
as rabid wolves you hunger and you are all the same
dancers without mercy in the ballet of your shame
now you see me clearly, recognise your lonely fate
for I do what's needed; have never felt your hate
paint your lurid pictures dark, feeding me your fear
to me you cannot matter, I simply do not care

Wild Geese

it was always black and white
never boring shades of grey
in those stands in tropic lands
where they passed away

conglomerates; forever that
power lay over seven seas
slavery an institution
wild as any mad disease

uhuru chants in mau mau rage
sisters of the christ wont leave
ancient river red in blood
as irish mothers grieve

equality the last reward
no more the wild geese fight
in the lands of the equator
it was always black and white

though nothing breathes in vacuum
thoughts assume their shapes
raw belief in bas relief
convincing none

one crystalline shimmer
if decadence has meaning there
in luxurious deflections
of life as deep as liquid coal

inside perfect nightmare
balance cannot exist
inside outer space
neither can life

cruelly satisfying
life demands motion
while nothing lives in vacuum

but thoughts
...
..
.
internally infernal

you may watch in silence in the violence of the city
deep inside that bleak abyss, one fatal kiss of pity
may leave you clasping; psyche open wide
fingernails grasping; enjoy the final ride
knowingly gasping; shivering inside

that screaming in the dreaming, into eternity
buried inside nightmare, take the dare run free
shivering inside; fingernails rasping
enjoy the final ride; knowingly grasping
psyche open wide; may leave you gasping

no shining knife to steal your life, satisfying nought
no hidden deal shall reveal, the certainty you sought
knowingly grasping; psyche open wide
may leave you gasping; shivering inside
fingernails clasping; enjoy the final ride

in rejection of reflection, wanting what is true
seeing as its done, the other one was always you
enjoy the final ride; may leave you gasping
psyche open wide; knowingly clasping
shivering inside; fingernails grasping

misunderstanding all, denials fall on empty ears
lost that game, accepting blame, cauterising fears
fingernails rasping; shivering inside
knowingly grasping; psyche open wide
leaving you gasping; enjoy your final ride
alone you watch in silence, the violence of the city
within that bleak abyss, you'll need the kiss of pity

jealous moon

in garish silver silence
reaching out you wreathe our world
bathing us in hungry rays
seeking hidden places

illuminating curve of back
sweep of breast and gasp of mouth
silhouette in frozen frame
forever seeking more

longing for one moment
of sight and light as touch and scent

to run once with grey wolves

Hello stranger
Remember the discussion at Nitmiluk?
Perhaps that convinced me you were right
Perhaps not
But I have never enjoyed red wine as much
[unless it was fortified of course, in which case there is no contest]

French Bordeaux thickly rich as lion’s blood
with that delicate anti freeze aftertaste
Talking about time
and the theory that time can be weighed
therefore it must have substance
therefore it can be manufactured

If you made a few thousand years of past time
who would you remove from history
justify your choice before we open another bottle
...
..
.
How strange are doctors
After a heart problem they put you on all kinds of pills etc
asprin perindopril metohexal plavix lipitor [nothing easily pronouncible of course]
Then later on you go in for a string of cardiac rehab tests
You give them lists of what you ate for last month
fruit fish meat veges; What about carbs bread rice dairy etc etc,
You must eat these things. Why eat stuff that is generally bad for you?
Because everyone else does and they are on our list
[Athletes need high carbs not normal people]
Have you ever seen that pyramid thing saying what you should be eating
[it has to be upside down as it is completely illogical]
[It is designed to put on weight yet is touted as an ideal weight loss diet??]

Doctor; One glass of red wine per day is ok but not port or beer etc.Too bad I feel ok and most red wine tastes like [insert something foul here]
You can't eat so much shellfish and crustaceans, too high in cholesterol
Your meat fruit and fish ratio to veges is far too high
Cholesterol 1.2
Cholesterol really low Ok I'll stop taking pills. No you cant do that
Blood pressure 85/60 at rest 110/90 after exercise
Blood pressure too low. OK I'll stop taking pills. No you cant do that
Heart beat 42 at rest 156 during exercise [excellent recovery rate]
Heart beat at rest too low OK No more pills. No you cant do that
Heart lung capacity excellent for age
OK drop the strength of the pills. Sorry cant do that you are on the weakest already
So if I have this correct you want me to eat crap to pump these back up?
Yes you need more carbohydrates and most importantly dairy products
Why would I need those if my fitness level is high and I have gained 5kg in 8 months which means my kilojoule intake is higher than my output? Those foods are just begging to create problems
To be part of the cardiac rehab you have to follow our diet precisely
Even when what I have done works and your diet cannot work?
Yes because we need to know your diet is healthy
Doctors are strange
[there is now a vacancy in the cardiac rehab program]

Is the price of dreams, left lingering in morning mists
or clenched into forever, frozen in a tyrants fists
of forgotten memories, of mysticism broken,
of candle lit fragility and spell work never spoken.
Decisions made soundly, flicker in like summer rain,
yesterdays reminders, for nightmares roil in pain
as unforgiving boundaries release those dogs of war
fragments batter synapses with horrors they once saw.
Rimed in pale entropy, colder than an empty heart,
in personal perplexity, now let that dreaming start
to lead us into futures, black knights enter the lists
is the price of dreams, left lingering in morning mists

Grist

Don't forget little ones, no tears must fall this night
in this time of magic; salt must always turn to blight.
Unburdened by all concience on these unhallowed eves
Grist will play his selfish games with anyone who grieves
A lover, broken hearted, who wept beside a lonely shore
met that ghastly silence, and thus was heard no more.
Laughter to him is poison, leaving him in parlous plight
yet fun too may lead to tears, thus the Grists delight.
So this night as Autumn dies, please do not weep at all
beware the threat of tears, and the Grists cold thrall.
If you ever have to mention him, mention not the mill
threat he is to everyone, and much enjoys the kill
Inimical to life and joy, he is from the frozen waste.
Silence finds that howlings, fit nicely to their taste
using in their blizzards, that scream across the plains,
the agony of childrens tears, and bitterness of pains.
So please remember this, never let them take flight
Don't forget little ones, no tears must fall this night

once upon your emptiness, nothing ever may be less
now hopelessness survives the night
for your dreams of happiness; alter now to bitterness
as wolves howl in delight

in that moment of rare feeling, everything is so appealing
lying exposed to inner light
learning what your heart is stealing, as your psyche is revealing
you will only ever do whats right

so the price you must pay, echoes in the callous way
everyone succumbs to might
an entrecote of yesterday, indecision comes and may
weaken your earnest will to fight

too often gaze in the abyss; seek life within a killers kiss
and you will surely lose your inner sight
to never know what you miss, as forever gone is bliss
if you earn the rabid vampires bite

Misty fog farm

morning lies less clearly
than mourning should allow
crystal shatters easily
its clarity somehow
in whiter disolution
as rime burns into mist
memories of yesterdays
of other women kissed
ghostly gargoyles hover
in symbiotic flight
an illusionary lover
reaps silence in delight
yet within those shadows
while dawning fades to grey
the finality of sorrows
lets mourning pass away

Reflections
Sunlight’s lissom fantasy
her fullness blessing everything
as golden light on golden trees.
One final glimpse of summer’s heart,
before that bleak disease
of black ice and frozen waste.
Wolves hunger in the howling.
Frostbite brings its own reward
in blizzard whitely prowling
midst memories of burning leaves
in perfect reflections.

Imperfect reflections
in memories of burning leaves
midst blizzard whitely prowling
as frostbite brings its own reward.
Wolves hunger in the howling
for black ice and frozen waste
bear winter's bleak disease.
One final glimpse of summer’s heart
of golden light on golden trees
of fullness blessing everything
in sunlight’s lissom fantasy

Did you hear about the poor bloody french troops in afghanistan

They took over an area from another part of the coalition
They were not told that the previous group had paid off the taliban to keep things peacefull
10 dead troops later they have to decide if they should just pay them as well

is it just me or is there something wrong about a war where
our troops guard opium fields
we pay off terrorists
leaders of the country openly admit corruption

Exposed

The negative remains;
grey,
and shades thereof of course.
Always shades;
nothing as simple as black and white;
for black and white are forgiving
and unforgivable in their phallic rigidity.
Russian openings on a wet dark night as the pawns fall
one by one
as if illusions matter.

Pure and clean as a scalpel cut
the pages of the album lie;
offering one phantom philtre after another
whose mixtures are never black or white.
Always dull brown or red;
never a rainbow;
never a joyous burst of colour.
Or emotion for that matter.
Yesterdays memories
frozen for today

While some still live;
but not as black or white.
Unlike that marble chess board
black sky and white full moon cannot exist;
as they ebb and flow endlessly,
until;
unforgivably;
only the negative remains

Hi Rose
welcome back
[puppy might be a bit too big]
..
.
Sometimes words fall out and end up being incomprehensible
a little bit like life really
other times they remain too comprehensive
at least to the writer
as strangers look in puzzlement
trying to comprehend
...
..
she doesnt play with the slitherers much
[but at least she can appreciate their beauty]
watches them moving utterly fascinated
wears a small one as a bracelet
and enjoys watching them feed
[indian mynas 0 slitherers 34]
[local cats 4 lizards 0]
[cats 1 slitherers 5]
[lots of native birds back in yard]
we had seven to deliver around Darwin
worked it nicely to take deposits on another fifteen
lying in the rain at midnight listening to the green frogs bellowing
getting battered by raindrops in torrents
until we jump in the pool
[its nearly the wet]
then down to drop some off in Sydney
and play with friends and kids

picked up my board from mates place
hasnt been used for about two years
a fish triple
small and light so you have to work it hard
[water is freezing compared to tropics]
she has never been surfing so keeps yelling out ride another one
Im too proud to give up
now Im too sore/tired to sleep

is excellent as agent
knows container consignment inside out
she wants Europe
and my passport [I think]
I loathe most of Europe [I know]
tickets to there from Asia are so cheap just now
[sometimes the real cost of a ticket is immeasurable]

raw introduction to Chinese poetry
not as rigid as Japanese
possibly equally as formal
but not when translated into English
[sometimes many paths end up in the same place]

I cannot forget this;
I won’t forget;
I’ll never forget this;

I won’t forget!
I cannot forget this!

Isnt the feeding frenzy of revenge a wonderful institution
Strange how forgiveness is never mentioned by the rabid mob
[perhaps thats why they remain rabid]

Hi Mate been far too long

There are various rulers in Afghanistan
First = Political ie president and cronies who transport the heroin
Second = Warlords who support themselves by backing both sides against the middle
and whose primary income is through sale of opium
Third = Taliban who recieve both political and financial support through heroin sales

Long way fifth = Coalition who support the growing of opium poppies pretending that it is not destined for their own young people

ninth month of the lunar year, no mention of a hallowed night
naga welcomes winter home in flickerings that dim twilight
Sulawesi lava bright, beneath volcanos sullen glare
an irridescent shimmer as the dragon greets the air
no grey or pastel whimpering, joyous roar in awesome hues
the she wolf hunts in blindness, it never sees the truths
naga knows of winter where lost blizzards scream in rage
that grey and white of frozen ice in bitter frozen days
when autumn dies mournful skies hover in the dawning
sheer delight of dragon flight, ignites fire in the morning
never shall the blizzard fall, never shall the air freeze dry
while the naga flies at will, emblazoning the tropic sky
cacophony of colours, cascading gems rainbow bright
winter flees to other climes, as naga rules in hallowed light
..
.
I only miss winter until I go somewhere cold

A Poppy Grew

mulch they used on Flanders field, essence of the flower of youth
poppy spreads in bloody shades the vestiges of warfares truth
is the end of pain mere death, as in the one to end them all
or as now in powder white, holding hard in ruthless thrall
East Indian those ships of shame, China on a rising tide
White Taipans must share the blame of miseries infernal stride
hard eyed men in fitted suits, glory in a field of flowers
let this deadly shipment through as supervising powers
dominos shall never drop while Air America still flies
golden triangle built on lust, fertilised as Harlem dies
what of you poor poppy, never seen as flower you are
but as the red of Flanders field or powder in a jar
warlords back the taliban for only money stalks the truth
mulch they use in Khandahar, essence of the flower of youth
....
..
They keep sending kids away to die when it is so simple to fix
Stop paying the warlords for producing opium
That will stop the warlords paying the taliban protection money
Stop permitting both Pakistani and Afghan Polititians to transport heroin in diplomatic pouches
Pay the farmers the equivalent of what they could earn growing poppies
but make it impossible to grow poppies
It stands out really well on satelite shots so this is a simple solution
Anyone who wont stop gets defoliated

While the coalition supports the growth of opium in Afghanistan it can never win there
As the taliban gets richer and richer why should they stop
Remove the money and you remove the incentive

uncoiling wrathful arrogance
despoiling how the seasons dance
in agonies of hateful chance

proclaimed within violence
reclaimed in long lost silence
and raging bleak malevolence

as chastity lies battered
humility is shattered
nothing else ever mattered

fallen heart in broken screaming
torn apart by spiteful scheming
muffled now the empty dreaming

ambivalence of whitest blaze
acceptance of the wildest craze
embodiment of fruitless days

with the earning came the spurning
ozone burning through the turning
tragedy of life in learning

bequested in our blazing sky
requested long lost alibi
redemption never wonders why

mute witness views the same event
in witless roaring discontent
thunder peaceful skies will rent

warnings may rage in yesterday
dawnings will lead that mind astray
lost energy must then repay

a tapestry of liquid light
this travesty of gods delight
welcome as our skies ignite

Cruised up to Thailand to check out a farm there
Did you know about the war in Thailand
I dont mean their usual anti drug wars where they simply shoot 2000 odd addicts
and about 50 small businessmen and their families; [its always struck me as strange that these businessmen had signed over their property to some police officer before they were shot trying to escape]
This other war is very much an extended action and is at least five years old
60000 Thai combat ready troops involved and they dont think they are winning
[much like Afghanistan really just a much smaller area]
Main victims are Buddhist teachers then anyone else involved in training or education
I was supposed to stay for a week to evaluate and quote
Lasted three days with the last nights spent in an army camp
Met two beautiful teachers there similar ages and interests who live at the camp because they have survived attacks and cant go home without being killed on sight
One speaks perfect English as she was educated for 12 years in England
Cant work teaching English because she isnt white??? [kids parents wouldnt like it]
Other only came back to help improve conditions for students
They both like each other but nothing will happen
He says she is buddhist; she says he is muslim
How screwed up is that

Thailand itself is as screwed up as ever desperately seeking the almighty dollar
[trace that back to Changmai mid 1960s when those hard eyed men helped the warlords ship their heroin to USA through air america]
As with virtually every asian country the majority of fat people are the ones
who work in western fast food outlets like macdonalds pizzahut kfc etc
[I wonder what that means]

Roman Polanski finally picked up on 30 yr old charges of drugging and raping a 13yr old
Have you read the list of people asking for him to be released????
[mainly giving the reason that he is an artistic genius [much like them if you read between the lines]
I wonder if they would have the same feelings if it was their daughter
"Please rape my daughter you artistic genius????"
There are some very strange parents floating around

Interest rates rising means AUD looking great against USD
time to buy from states again with plenty of fire sales over there
..

hi om
so long as the water is soft who cares about floating
..
.

seeking yesterday
tap dancing across her heart
not realising
perfection has passed
can never be repeated

mixed triangles
so delicately poised
angel of delight
fragmented into the night
no anti venin for this

has not seen full moon
polution bleaches night
grey haze hanging low
follow me to clarity
future demands sacrifice

saddest love story
lara in the icy cold
then one day my love
doctor zhivago summer
as finally it's told

truly gorgeous
whispering a lullaby
no mirror waiting
yesterdays reflections
echoes of tomorrow

does not like snakes
coming for a visit soon
would love a kitten
or perhaps a small puppy
and so would the slitherers

Guanxi in tanka

that sechuan food
spicier than hell itself
much like the women
saucily enjoyable
deliciously spicy

they kept telling me
find yourself a china girl
no one else will do
expectations falter
finally their words are true

so lovely to meet
without inhibitions
mermaid in water
offering everything
no ulterior motive

merging back into
living as it was before
come away with me
as the world is our oyster
kilpatrick or natural

forty five kg
a little pocket rocket
just past my shoulder
an energiser bunny
trimmed taut and terrific

forget yesterday
leave broken shadows fading
simply come with me
in memory remaining
forever in my dreaming

morning memory
snuggled into my pillow
contrasting colours
sweetest curve of back and thigh
pushing back into my chest

can we go skating?
of course we can. sounds like fun
felt nearly fatal
old bones no longer bounce
forgotten how hard ice is

interesting afternoon;
finer points of skating were remembered
that bone numbing crash into ice had been forgotten
[but now will be remembered for a long time]
its not just the bone I landed on, my whole body hurt
[will prefer my water melted in future]

we have a truly evil import in australia called the indian myna bird
nasty piece of work that destroys our native bird populations
but the slitherers do love to give them a cuddle
I just need to lure them more efficiently

...

australia is a very easy place to make money
[seldom any excuse to be broke here]
once customers know and trust you you have it made
just provide either good service or good product or both
and you have an income forever
6% unemployment and the global recession is over etc etc
but
house prices rising
mortgage rates will rise 2% within 6months [$300 per month av]
[how fast will the recession come back then]
[round 2 might be scary]
..
seeing what might happen I set up an import company in northern europe
problem was everyone knew it was based in aussie and I wasn't there
profit was way too low
used irish passport to start again as european union company with romany mates
running it for me
300% profit increase in two months
lots of confidence up there plus plenty of spare cash

but very different as you travel south or east
france southern germany and southern/eastern europe are looking pretty bad

usa running at 10% unemployment and held together with government bailouts
lots of talk about recession being over but what happens when government stops incentives
canada should be ok long term because of raw materials
africa and south america not looking healthy at all

I visited a friend this week
she is heavily involved in container export in china
17% drop in container orders at present
31% drop in airfreight orders
that is a huge amount of money out of circulation
also a huge drop in tonnage of product available
[less money plus less product must mean importers/retailers will need less staff]
if the recession is over why are orders so low???
another worry is the average value per container which she estimated as being way down

chesterton wrote something like this
"we dont write fairytales to show kids that dragons exist
for they already know that
we write to show the dragon can be killed"

he was wrong
..
.
they desire them
the forgotten legends
those myths lost in the mists of mystery
now mere echoes of a whisper
for they are simply words
aren't they
progressions of vowels and nouns
nothing special there

everyone knows the fragmented residue
the dribbles which are all that remain of a maelstrom
maelstrom
such a simple word
such a simple explanation
seek that if you wish
but know this
as a physical entity it never exists
for it is far beyond three dimensional normality
it is not to face
it is to become part of for a time

presumptuous of course
'for a time' explains nothing and everything
but only if you are willing to forget
as you must forget to remember

remnants linger in lost places
'lost' is also presumptuous
as it assumes that these places can be found
most of these places are gone now
submerged by modern mechanics
mechanics and mythology cannot exist together
as one is purely physical and the other requires belief to continue to exist

todays religions knew most of these earth bound places
then desecrated them with their own strangeness
as the mechanics of religion destroyed the power of belief

others are scattered carefully
mostly in Asia
because Asia refused to accept obliterative religion
'carefully' was the most important word there
as they are a natural phenomena with definitive patterns

tbc another time

I can't remember how many years since I have turned on a tv set
Only time I really watch is when away overseas where I can only guess at whats being said
turn up the music and turn off the tv sound
Anyway I got the girls who look after the slitherers a package with cable tv internet and phone
They got me a swag of dvds called "two and a half men"
How funny is that show
The writers are brilliant

Must admit I felt totally at home with Charlie Sheen

everything has a song
this provides the rhythm
every song has a story
these provide the words
if rhythm and story merge
I smile
..
one solitary droplet
in an raging river
venom gives the kiss of life
to melancholies lullaby

some places tell happy stories
others lurk in hidden glades
hungry for their yesterdays

lost song of a falling leaf
whispers of forgotten tales
of legend bound in duties past

sweetwater running clear
acrid taste of hate bites back
words upon the page appear
grimace as they carve their track

smiling watching words as blessed
no hint of rage or tang of fear
a spiderweb hung with dew
in solitary droplets

Slitherers are having FUN

Went south to get cold and play with tuna
Tuna farming is an ecological disaster for many reasons
Waste products destroy the seabed under the farms
Tuna cannot be bred so entire genetic groups are taken to be fattened
Northern and Southern Bluefin are on the verge of destruction/eradication

But when you are getting paid to do an independant report they really dont like it when you point these facts out
Tuna farming has only become number 2 in Australian aquaculture
Up to last year it was always number 1
A dying industry [for the tuna anyway]

cold grey ocean
a presidential port
tuna sashimi

around and around
fatal design in transit
aboard sushi train

once was too often
in suicidal farming
north and south all gone

solely run by greed
another species dying
it is only fish

derelict thoughts, lay shadowed in their flight
where living things never flew
shards of shattered mirror fold in truths delight

nothing is revealed, reality lies blinding tight
regardless of the things you do
derelict thoughts, lay shadowed in their flight

alibis are cheap, blocking out true sight
avoid that everchanging view
shards of shattered mirror fold in truths delight

gazing into yesterday, ready for the fight
lying there where nought is true
derelict thoughts, lay shadowed in their flight

everything revealing souls malignant plight
every piece a vital clue
shards of shattered mirror fold in truths delight

unburdening the darkness, welcoming the light
spectre now reflects as you
derelict thoughts, lay shadowed in their flight
shards of shattered mirror fold in truths delight

unbelievable
twice in a fortnight

ever heard of ISP tracking
this supposedly foolproof, exact science, does not and cannot work in most cases
someone must have made a killing on selling this idea to idiots
anyway twice in two weeks I have had statements of
"what are you doing in xxxxxx"
I answer "I am not in xxxxx"
"Don't lie to me I know you are there"
"How did you get to Canberra so fast?"
[one of these was four hours after she had rung me at the fish farm in Malaysia]

for nearly 10 months now I have been working with a Federal Gov dept
on a way of teaching kids that although they have lots of rights
with every right comes a responsibility
also working with 3 state gov depts on other projects
and have set up a business in Europe using internet
[so much for being retired]
this involves logging into various websites most mornings
after doing my work I click yahoo etc and do emails
because I am logged into a website my ISP is that website not the
actual computer I am using
believe it or not this works the same way for anyone, not just me
the only possibly way ISP tracking can work is if you turn on your computer
go immediately to email and start sending

in both these instances I explained why ISP tracking is flawed
Both times I got back "So you are a computer expert now?"
[never in my worst nightmare would I consider myself a computer expert]
[things are simply tools to be used and put away as they have no life and can consume ours]
you dont have to be an expert to see why it cannot work
but since both of these are self proclaimed egg spurts I must be wrong

[Needless to say the second one is no longer invited to Malaysia]

Realisation
in that window of dark destiny
gaze into unhallowed mess
knowing what you truly see
is purely truth none the less

look at me
nightmares child
avoid the hollow of my eyes
I am lord of life and death
and sugar sweet suprise

my promises unbroken
I wallow in the pain you grieve
swallow words unspoken
knowing you'll never leave

Pandoras box lies opened
in pestilence and shame
revile me as you want to
let me assume all blame

virus born in infamy
salacious boiling lust
hopes and aspirations
cloaked in foetid dust

curse me and deny me
yet forever know its true
your window is a mirror
In reality I'm you

Shattered

obsidian knife
inflexible in perfect form
one fabled crystal falling

to obliteration
perhaps
or rebirth

kalaidescoping fragments
weave patterns into shattered dreams
as the leopard hunts in darkness
left alone an angel screams

pieces flicker past
of what was
but can never be again

they have their own beauty

10.43am

consumed by her
strutting arrogance
striding up the escalator
wearing my t'shirt

scent of our rutting
seeping damp suggestions
and lurid memories

tantalising glimpse of paradise
as she raises her arms

that rushing office worker
silent and still as a clubbed seal
transfixed in disbelief

"**stard
You could have warned me"
served with incendiary smile

supermarket screams grapes and smoked salmon
with stuffed olives and asparagus
dark chocolate mousse on special

flaring nostrils
tongue writhes on upper lip

leaning onto the icecream fridge she shudders
turning in liquid silence and brittle nipples
desperately searching
until her eyes spot the elevator
replete with mirror walls
and stop button

Guanxi

oh daughter of Medici
cadeuceus is coiled
twin the snake that symbol make
yesterday lies spoiled

beyond our mask of memory
subconcious links appear
no falling pin will ever win
limbic brain knows fear

in magical transgression
as two become one whole
one empty heart torn apart
junction of a single soul

redolent in sympathy
ghouls gather for the feast
let tomorrow suckle sorrow
duality is seldom least

no alibis can capture
the reasons for the dying
across the board no noble horde
will sanctify the lying

In the process if teaching some slitherers that they can trust me
[Will be handing them around to the public soon so trust is required or they might react badly]
Usually takes 3 months but seeing if I can do it quicker
A 4metre snake is a powerful animal and some of the reactions have been interesting

Still trying to put Israel into words

Piano/Jazz bar in Tel Aviv Wednesday
It wasn't early
..
.
tinkles

raw anti rhythm solo
all elbows and angles
rolling fingers seek the glory of the bottom hand
thrusting over and into the keyboard
yearning to plunge through the ivory to purity
right foot stabbing in the punctuation
stuttering arpeggio trip trip tripping over and down
until
that miraculous swoop into the final triumphant
two handed cord of atonement

Female pianist who became her instrument
Closest I have heard to Thelonius Monk in his prime

as once you moved at death of sun
glissade of crystal strewn in flight
so mesmerising everyone
in welcoming the joys of night

chaotic sights, forbidden rites
captured the glimmer of a star
roiling lights annointing lights
empty dreaming wandered far

cold clear moon projecting
as vespers breach the silence
dear Hecate protecting
whispers preaching violence

circle drawn from alchemy
firelit water wind and earth
errors in the chemistry
thus the end is granted birth

far beyond our shallow starts
one heartbeat waits eternal
a stirring in the blackest parts
of something dark, infernal

bleak aspect of the mother
unheralded within this guise
stranger than any other
madness blossoms in darker skies

shattered moon left falling
through planetary emptiness
old one answered the calling
to clear an earthly mess

Nights

lost shadow of a falling leaf
uncoiling into our twilight
long past the age of winter's grief
our welcome dead will haunt the night

mute energy in wickerman
so sweet in ecstasy's delight
fertile blood meet ancient plan
our welcome dead will haunt the night

a cradle in a web of pain
as ley lines tremble and ignite
such fragments summoning Beltaine
our welcome dead will haunt the night

twelve o'clock shall end the strife
for all our fears depart in flight
dancing wraiths renewing life
our welcome dead will haunt the night
..
.

Kyrielle form

Beltaine and the night before it were the only major pagan festivals not assimilated into the various forms of christianity so still retain their primal power
Walpurgisnaght is the night of the dead and traces right back through Odin/Viking lore to Troy, the Keltoi used this same night to celebrate death before new life in Beltaine

Hi KL
I was just up in KL
Lost my bag somewhere in transit
Nothing important except for a few pills
In Aus it costs $100 per month for these pills
Called a Malaysian quack to get replacements
$15 visit fee plus $12 for prescription total $27
In Aus that would have been $97.50 thankyou
and we are supposedly in a country with cheap health care

Heading over to WA to get a few slitherers used to people
Should be FUN
Played with Banded Kraits in Malaysia
Nasty little blighters but an excellent learning curve

Always heard how hard/expensive it was to create a website
Not nowadays
Too easy
You just have to pick the right name and doing the site itself is childs play now

Been floating round under the radar having fun
then I read the news when I get back

I travel a fair bit
Can I name 12,000 cities?
Probably not

Russia and USA just agreed to get rid of some "weapons of mass destruction"
[oops we call them nuclear weapons, not WMD as only terrorists etc have WMD]

Russia and USA are screaming about North Korea and Iran getting ONE bomb
yet they still admit to having a minimum of 12,000 bombs ready for immediate use
[this figure does not include those owned by China Israel France Great Britain etc etc and does not include any biological weapons]

Can anyone out there name 12,000 cities?

scent of woman coils in air
liquid eyes and leopard lithe
salty bite of wind swept hair

Welcome Suzie

One of my favourite people is called Suzette
She is not a reptile person
Just visited for a few days so I gave her my room while I stayed in with my babies
Everything was fine until the other girls came home and decided Suzette should watch the babies have a feed while I was out
Mice and rats were scoffed quite happily with no ill effect
But they should not have fed Bertha
Because Bertha enjoys adult rabbits three at a time
Suzette breeds 'pet' rabbits
Not a great reaction

Hi Rose and welcome back Rory

Have you noticed the difference beteween oceans
My photos from Israel have sunsets over the med
but they are so different from other ocean sunsets
Sunset photos from Peru are coiling in wait for something to happen
yet California shows cool and arrogant
Atlantic photos are nearly always so sullen and brooding

When I got crook I stopped smoking
Yeehaa Stop Smoking Cure All Ills etc etc
What a crock
Heart lung capacity exactly the same
dont feel better or worse
I just go hoarse now after talking for a while

Whats the story with Micheal Jackson?
They held a memorial mass in Melblourne Australia to
"help people who had been severly afflicted by his death to learn how to cope with this tragedy"
What sort of garbage is that???
He has kicked the bucket .......Fair enough
but how can people get hysterical/severely affected over someone they have never met

Now he knew how to sing and dance [I have a copy of thriller somewhere]
BUT
When he was up on child molesting charges where were all these people then?
Where was all the weeping and gnashing of teeth etc etc
Where was all the tremendous support

Fair weather friends are not worth pissing on
{No doubt he would say the same thing if he could}

Hi Always
You would love katherine gorge
get him to drag you up there
"and warm beer"
I thought a country girl would have understood that one
one small bottle of petrol and warm beer is freezing
much more efficient than trying to carry ice around

Getting ready to do a reptile show
but only have 2 snakes that are used to people so was busy playing with a couple to get them used to me
TV crew shows up when Ive got a lovely little eastern brown wrapped around my wrist warming up
These are not a "petting" snake but the reporter 'loves snakes' and wants to hold it until it gets one wiff of her deoderant and flattens out
Not quite so keen after that

Just been invited to Ontario to a reptile expo there

Late November in Ontario has to be cold
Not just a bit cool but bloody cold
How can I take my babies who are used to 30c temps to somewhere like that
So the San Diego expo sounds better

Had no idea Swedes would be into reptiles
best breeders in europe from all accounts
so Malmo, Hamburg, Vistula R [just to find a castle I dream of],
London, Brighton, San Diego and maybe Mississuaga if all my babies are gone

On their way to the cooking pots in China and Japan reptiles and mammals get gathered together throughout asia
I put the word out about a few endangered species I would pay for
I now own [cost $USD85] an african serval
So if anyone can figure out how to get this safely back to Africa let me know or even to a good nature park
shipment will be from Kuala Lumper

Hi Buttercup
Well I must write some poetry then

Mad cow disease
Bird flu
Swine flu
Is this a time of farmageddon???

One of my friends in China just helped burn some confiscated drugs
They had come into western China through Pakistan and Afghanistan
1.2 tonne opium and 4.8 tonne of cannabis
At the same time experts are saying the Taliban expects to make 62 million per annum through sale of heroin
I have no idea of the percentages but if we say opium/heroin is 10/1 they get 2000lb of heroin just from this one shipment
that has already more than 62million in one go

But it was always so simple to stop the drug trade
Automatic death sentence for trafficers plus
Buy the drugs from the farmers directly and destroy them

We spend billions every year fighting a problem we help perpetuate
When the Taliban was the mudgahadeen [sic] actually fighting the Russians
westerners helped them set up drug distribution networks as this was helping to fight communism
Now we complain about it?

Cannot believe that Iran is still relatively peaceful
For thirty years we have been fed rubbish that Iran is behind the Taliban
[which it cannot be as they belong to totally different sects]
etc etc etc
Yet here we have had two weeks of virtually continual demonstrations and there are only about 40 dead
This is so important on the world stage as it shows how much disinformation we have been fed
Imagine what the death toll would be in USA England etc etc after two weeks of demos?

Been away doing reptile documentaries
Thank the gods that cobras strike so slowly
had a kid kissing a cobra so had to try it
wonderful to handle gently
but I will leave the tongue work to others in future
played quickly with the most dangerous snake on earth
strikes in .13 of a second
by the time you blink it has struck and is lying back having a smoke and asking if it was good for you to
absolutely awesome little critter
..
