Those guys were idiots, Ive been turned down many a time on this site, but Ive never called a lady names. Obviously those guys have no class, just ignore it.

I have to agree with you 100% CeeJaie, what bugs me in particular is when someone posts a pic and its either some object or its a shot of them back on or from a distance, I mean if you are going to post a pic, post a picture that we can all see of you.

I ask for a pic if one isn't posted and there are 2 reasons for it and neither one is shallow.

1. Its nice to put a face to a bunch of words on a screen

2. To me its a fairness issue, I have pics posted, so I think I should have the right to see what you look like.

Evil business practices??? You mean offering low prices so people who make under 30 grand a year or so can go someplace and get stuff at affordable prices??

What are these evil practices you are referring to. I was never a big Walmart fan, was indifferent really, but then when i working at a call center where i would taking email and calls from the Walmart.com website; they pulled the plug cause there wasnt enough calls, emails coming in to support work for 2 centers.

They were in essence paying my salary and we could have all be laid off, several hundred in fact, but Walmart payed out wages for like 4 months till a new project came to our center. That really impressed me, meant that knew we did a great job for them and they paid us back by keeping us employed.

After that experience, I will never say a bad word about Walmart. So if you have the money and want to patronize stores with obscene markups go right ahead, thats your right, but its my right to go find the lowest price.

Capitalism rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!

God I dont know where to begin with you, god your pathetic. You sound like one of those elitist liberal types that want to tell the world how to live cause you know how the world should be.

First off, your comment about 40% being skinned alive, u probably got that from HSUS, an organization that puts out such good propaganda that would put Josef Goebbels to shame.

In fact, the Newfoundland portion of the hunt, most of the seals are killed with firearms, over 90% if im not mistaken, dont have the exact figure here in front of me.

Second, as for Carl Levins resolution, hes the senior senator from the great state of Michigan, they have some real nice deer hunts there. Im sure if HSUS gets the seal hunt banned, theyll come looking at that hunt, and im sure he'll be a real moral and just person and condemn that as well. NOT!!!!.

Our hunt is targetted because its small, HSUS would love for the cattle and chicken industry to shut down, but they are too big with way too much influence.

Also Newfoundlanders dont need a lesson in morality from the Europeans, if im not mistaken, didnt they send like 6 million jews to the death camps?? And it wasnt just the Germans, plenty of nations helped them, the French, Croatians, Hugarians, and the list goes on, so i dont take morality lessons from countrys that have participated in the greatest slaughter in human history.

Also, its a known fact a lot of these organizations either conduct or support eco-terroism as a vehicle to get their radical agendas accomplished. If you dont believe me, the head of Peta, a Ms. Newkirk, once said she could never bomb a animal testing lab, etc, but understand those that do.

Im a proud Newfoundland, Ive nevered hunted or killed an animal, though i think someday would like to take up hunting. Im sick of these liberal, socialist types who think they are better than everyone else. And to all of you who oppose the hunt, get your facts straight first, then debate it.

First of all, to give you an education DragonN, over 90% of the seals are killed by bullet, how do i know this, well Im from Newfoundland and no they dont live off welfare, they fish. I see you are from Taiwan, lets talk about what they do in those parts. Last I heard, Fido (a dog) is considered a nice treat as well as cats. Which by the way are imersed in boiling water alive to remove the fur.

Hunting seal is no different than butchering cow, pig, chicken, etc. Only difference is you can see it out in the open, not under the roof of some slaughterhouse. Killing animals is never pretty, i would be the first to agree.

Also we utilize the entire animal, we dont just use the fur/skin, though that is one component, seal meat is eaten by newfoundlanders for the last 400 years, and we will continue to eat it.

A lot of these people who are opposed to the seal hunt are opposed to the killing of any animal and wont be happy till we are eating twigs and living in caves.

Hunting seal is an honest living, hunters make about 20-30% of their yearly income hunting seal for those few weeks. Plus this is not a conservation issue. Reports indicate that there are upwards of 6 million seals. We will continue to hunt seals as they are a sustainable resource. Oh and for the record, we no longer hunt the white coats, that was banned by the Canadian government in 1987.
