Girls Looking for the Nice Guy Ya Right!!!!
Posted: 4/7/2009 12:05:46 AM
I feel for you bro, but remember good things happen to those who wait. Be patient, keep trying and you will eventually find your fish, or she will find you. We are all part of this vast ocean of POF, don't expect results overnight and remember there are two types of mistakes to be made.. mistakes of omission and mistakes of commission. The difference lies it the fact that you can learn from trying but you learn nothing from not trying. Don't get discouraged!
Also, sometimes a relationship will find you when you aren't looking for one. Use this site to find friends not relationships. The best relationships are based on friendship anyways. Oh, and the whole match thing, it's pretty much a hoax. Shared interests and goals do not make two people compatible. Don't be afraid to go outside your comfort zone!

It's April and the Thompson Okanagan has yet to have a POF nite!

Hmmm
Motorcycles, scooters, and live music? I think we're onto something here!

Would you drive an electric car or truck?

The problem with electric cars is that for most of Canada (BC is one of the exceptions) the electricity used to power them is generated using fossil fuels (namely coal). Hydro, wind, and solar power farms are a must before we can actually make electricity a clean source of fuel for our vehicles. I think the right ideas and directions are out there, but those that make our decisions for us aren't ready to jump off the fossil fuel gravy train until all of it's profits are depleted.

Hiya everyone!
It seems most centers around BC have had some POF meet and greet nights, but we here in the Okanagan have yet to have one! I think it's in all out best interests to get a POF night going in the Okanagan asap!

I'll gladly organize or w/e, but since I am relatively new to the area I am in desperate need of some suggestions and ideas! So speak up Okananganites and be heard! Let's hear your ideas and get this event moving!

So I just came home from Mexico

I've lived in large and small cities, and by far the larger cities are less friendly. I'm not saying friendly people can't be found in big cities, it just seems that there isn't a sense of community in large cities anymore. Plus, it seems that for the most part people in larger cities are prone to being more self serving than those people in smaller centers. That's one of the reasons I moved to Vernon. I'm not trying to depict all inhabitants of larger centers as unkind or self-righteous, but I do believe a large city's lack of community certainly hampers it's friendliness level.
My only advice is to use POF to meet some decent people (not necessarily first dates or w/e, but to meet new friends or acquaintances) and hopefully you will have some better luck.

Hey everyone!

Well, I'm new to the site and this kick ass valley, so I thought I'd introduce myself to the community! I'm looking forward to some local POF events and getting to know you all!
Happy fishing everyone!
