Guys, what do you think of the girls?

Overall I think I've been pretty lucky. I have met some girls and although no sparks romantically I have made a new friend here and there. I'm not saying it was easy, just getting a response to an email is the hardest part and once the communication started flowing it easy easier to seeing if there was any potential.
One thing about online dating that bothers me is the criteria bar is set in my opinion exceedingly high. I remember seeing a commerical for one of the major dating sites where the women said something to this effect, I was able to custom order the perfect guy. That really bothered me. I think there is more of a tendency to perhaps discount someone who might be off on one a couple criterias...wrong education, income level, weight, height, life experiences etc...I know everyone has their own criteria that would be a deal breaker but I think it's too easy to discount someone based on statistics on a screen. Dating can be like treasure hunting, there really is a method to the madness hopefully you can find some interesting prospect, a few keepers and that one gem.

How Important is Height?
Posted:

How important is height to women? I'm 5'5" or 5'6" with shoes on LOL and totally upfront with that on my profile. I don't seem to translate well online and have a tougher time getting dates online than I do just by being out and about and meeting people in person. The only thing I can think of is the height might turn off potential dates from reading the rest of my profile. So ladies how importnat is height in determining whether or not to contact someone?
Thanks!

Why do guys give cell phone numbers instead of home numbers ...is that a clue they are taken?

In this day and age and like most of the other replies I no longer have a land line and just have my cell phone number. If anything that would raise suspicion that someone is not being exactly being honest is the times you can reach them or if you always have to meet somewhere else aside from their place.

Is e-dumping becoming social acceptable?

I think the whole point is the communication/courtesy of letting that other person know instead of being left wandering. I have been on both ends of the dumper/dumpee and have always found just being honest the way to go. I would probably draw the line at dumping via post-it note. LOL

Good question. Communication is important, for me personally I usually assume that is a casual date where you are dating other people but it's better to be up front aned make that clear. I am okay with that but if something changes and the girl I'm going out with has gotten "intimate" with another guy I hope she would tell me and that would apply to me as well. I personally find it hard to go out with multiple people since it can get complicated.
Basically the rule of some it's okay to go out with different people at the same time and it's better to mention that up front. Just some thoughts.
