I, in my 24 years of age on this Earth, have not had my first date yet and feel that I am way,way behind other men my age or even younger than me. I feel pain when i see couples walking the halls of malls thinking, "Wish that was me with her." Well, I'm going to university in a month and will study and have no time for dating. I thought this summer will be the time when I finally start dating. Guess I was wrong.

I saw a fellow nerd at the movie theatre with his girlfriend and I tapped him on the shoulder. I said to him: "Good job. Having a girlfriend while being a nerd. Such a rare thing." He smiled and said "Thanks. Yeah, I'm happy." He walked away with her and I saw "Over The Hedge" with my parents.

I just got a xbox360 Friday to just play Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Talk about nerdy. Anyways, every time I see this cute girl at BestBuy(believe me,I'm shocked at how many jocks go there) , I freeze up every time I get near her. I keep on wanting to talk to her, then the thought of being rejected comes into mind. I usually pay for my stuff and leave. I asked my cousin Frances to give me her friend's sister' phone number so I can finally set up a date for the hopefully "date." This thread has been through hell and back, so I'm just going to make this thing happen.

My sister and I had a spat on her trying to help me get a date. She said all the girls at her work had boyfriends. I said this aloud: "Why does every girl in Bay County have a boyfriend?" My sister got mad at me when I spoke that question. She said: "I hate talking to you about girls! I hate it! I hate it! I said "Maybe if these girls left their punk-looking boyfriends and go out with us more intellectual men,we'd never complain. Not complain at all. I'm sorry, Holly, but I'm 24 years old and never had my first date. It's just so confusing. She walked out the door and went to work." I feel so frustrated. Btw, my cousin Frances still hasn't talked to her friend's sister about the blind date. I know I shouldn't say this, but I feel like a real loser

She will try to touch you in little ways, ie pat your arm, touch you lightly when shes talking to get your attention, or she will lean in close if your not within reaching difference She will hairflick. Might not be obvious but if she starts doing the whole throw the hair back over one shoulder or moves her shoulders around so her hair falls forward and all that kinda stuff, she is preening and means she likes you Omg! That's exactly what my journalism professor's married daughter did when we ate the Red Lobster with my Communications major group. Well, at least I know I'm desirable to some married women. Btw, the professor's daughter was really attractive. When she talked to me, her face was so close to me I could smell her breath. She felt my arm. I thought she was just a physical person, did not know she liked me. She also did the hairflick. She basically did all those flirty maneuvers stated above right in front of her husband . I didn't know she was saying silently "take me." Wow, I wish the single or boyfriend-having girls in the class did that instead of the professor's married daughter.

when we dated lol I mean when we "dated" meant basically holding hands after and before class. You know middle school love. I tried to get a hold of my cousin so I can get her phone number so I can at least have an idea when the date is occuring. I will figure out this information later. Btw, my cousin said to her that this is my first date without my knowledge and I was thinking "I'm doomed." Then my cousin told me that her friend's sister(girl im hoping to date) said that its cute.

I just got pro-tools and fruity loops for producing my r&b songs I write. Does anybody know how to use the vocoder to replicate the same voice effect as Roger Troutman, Teddy Riley, or Peter Frampton? That would be neat to know how to use the vocoder option in a professional way.

This is(hopefully) going to be my first date. I need to know from others who have dated on the dos and donts of the dating ritual as I am completely oblivious. In another thread, I was referred to by a family member for the date. This will be a blind date, but my cousin said she is a gorgeous blonde(my ideal date). I know not to talk about anything nerdy, but I need some open suggestions.

Today, my female cousin Frances saw me on the computer looking at real estate on the computer and said this to me: "Matt, I know how you feel. You're 24 and need to date and learn girlfriend-boyfriend relations, so I am trying to get my friend Karen's 20 year old sister to go on a blind date with you. You shouldn't be on the computer like this on the weekend." I immediately said "Thank you, Frances. It's actually something Holly(my younger sister) wouldn't do. I gave her a hug. She said she is really trying to help me. She's had 4 boyfriends so far in her life and is only 13 years old, but don't underestimate her. My cousin is smart for her age. I know I just gained more respect for her.

"Third World countries are racing to educate their own people in math and science as fast as they can, to generate their own crop of homegrown nerds, but that will take decades, of course," says Pendlon, speaking at a recent D.C. conference on global trends. "To accelerate the process, at least 11 countries are quietly introducing 'intellectual-breeding' programs. And to ensure the best gene pool, they've begun to import Americans with proven math and science skills for the explicit purpose of reproduction." While some countries like Nigeria recruit sperm donors, others entice the often-bespectacled, sex-starved social misfits with promises of a chance to bed down with one or more of "our beautiful, exotic local women." Nerd recruitment ads are now cropping up on the Internet. One particular ad cited by Pendlon calls for men "with a minimum I.Q. of 150, science background, glasses not necessary, wanted for sex, salary in high six figures -- guaranteed." Intriguingly, Pendlon blames the war on terror for the U.S. nerd shortage. "While nerds are in high demand overseas, the interest in quiet intellectuals has never been lower in America," the sociologist notes. "Our leaders set the tone. As long as we have a macho president and are waging a war on terrorism, our society will devote its efforts to churning out square-jawed 'jock' types, more comfortable around guns than books. "You could say that under President Bush, the smart, mild-mannered American nerd is fast becoming an endangered species. "Perhaps this breeding program is coming just in time I really,really want to sign up for this lol. Words from an E3 booth babe: "It's weird when they put their arms around me," she replies, "but then I feel them shaking and I'm like, whatever, if it's so important to you . . . it's funny when guys come up to me and tell me that it's their first time touching a girl." They're more nerdy and wide-eyed and so excited that you're actually talking to them. They seem so un-used to seeing girls. I guess they just play videogames and don't go outside much See, not all us nerds have girlfriends. Hell, some haven't touched a girl for the first time due to feelings about being inferior due to countless rejections and these females staying with the Neanderthal-like boyfriend. In the real wild kingdom, there are some examples of female animals choosing the most aggressive, or "jerky," males for mating. And it's interesting to note that many species where females choose aggressive men are now going extinct. "Human females need to follow the lead of our guppy sisters and progress to choosing men based on qualities that aren't ultimately damaging to us. We are choosing jerks, which, through the process of natural selection, is causing there to be more jerks. If we keep this up, every single man in the world will be a jerk. If we can't give up jerks for our own good, we have simply got to do it for the survival of our species" And guess what -- when he says he's going to call, he calls. I wish I had the OP's ability to pick up languages though! Now that's talent in my book! I'm going to learn Chinese, Japanese, and German next year at USF in Tampa. I have come to find out UFO's are a big subject with the Hispanic community. That's one reason why some nerds are going out with Hispanic women. Vicente, a Hispanic phone operator at work is trying to hook me up with his gorgeous cousin, Samantha. Ella esta mucha bonita! Que bonita! Me gusto el foto de ella que Vicente tiene mostrar mijo. Ece, I usually make "Family Guy" quotes in public. I don't know why. I just do it. I even laugh at them to myself. I usually give the guys who have girlfriends the evil eye, except for fellow nerds. Ece, 140 IQ 4.76 GPA in high school World of Warcraft level 30 human mage stays home and studies and surfs the internet on weeknights asked out 8 girls since age 18 and got the "boyfriend" answer every time plays D&D Dean's List at college Had 1 girlfriend, but in middle school talks to other nerds speaks three languages fluently( 2 learned in high school) Passes every nerd quiz on the net

I am a nerd and haven't have my first date yet(don't want it anymore) yet I seem to see on the net that other nerds claiming to have girlfriends. Call me a skeptic but I seem to see false truths. Btw, none of the local "fish" were biting before I turned 24. I think us single nerds should have a strike. "No computer fixing unless all the hot local females dump their boyfriends and go out with us nerds."

If heartbroken is getting rejected for dates by lovely females, then I learned that American women are too stupid to go out with a loving and caring nerd but rather stay for the boyfriend who willprobably end up in jail most of his young life or get into fights due to his "machismo" attitude.
