Women who don't shave

I find it interesting that some men still like an unshaved woman. I've tried both and I think I sit somewhere in the middle.............not sure really. Some days it seems nicer to get rid of it all!!!

Is the fairytale impossible after 30?
Posted: 11/19/2009 3:16:55 PM
What fairytale?

I think that is the major problem for alot of people.

They honestly believe in the whole fantasy of "happily ever after" but it's really alot of "hard work after" the actual wedding day.

Are you sure your ready for a relationship again?
Posted: 11/19/2009 4:57:41 AM
I was talking to a guy a few months back when he made a comment about how I didn't seem to have moved past my ex. I told him I had but we'd only been divorced for a brief time and because we have children together I was finding it really hard to sort out all of my feelings and emotions.

Just recently I thought about this man and what he had said to me, at the time, and realised he was right. I have been using my ex husband as a crux to feel safe so I don't have to go out and see what lies ahead. It scares the hell out of me.

I finally have a better understanding of the way to deal with it and I've concluded that instead of going and meeting all these guys from a dating site I'll wait until I really WANT to meet someone. There is a difference. I know I'm ready now.

Do opposites or similarities really attract and work best?
Posted: 11/19/2009 4:33:54 AM
As I get older I find myself yearning for someone with more similarities than differences to me.

My ex husband and I agreed on the important decisions in life but we also thought differently about alot of things. I couldn't say if that was our undoing but it's made me really think long and hard about my next partner and who I'm looking for.

Why do men seem distant?
Posted: 11/18/2009 3:03:44 AM
I think John Gray may be able to help you there...................Men really ARE from Mars and Women from Venus. I'm kidding - personally I can't stand the man.............LOL.

I was reading some article that said that men will seem really into you in the beginning then suddenly pull away, making a woman feel like something is wrong. Apparently there isn't anything wrong, it's just something they need to do. Like chilling and looking at the whole picture.

I sometimes feel if we question men's behaviour too much it only serves to cause more problems..............I think we need to try and accept they do things differently and that's that.

A question about dominant men. Can they also be gentlemen?
Posted: 11/17/2009 3:09:38 PM
Great question but I would have to say "no".

The gentle guys that I've "dated" have been gentle in the b/room. I'm not generally attracted to aggressive alpha male types so I guess I'm missing out

There was one guy but he was pushy in attitude so I guess that explained his dominance later...............hmmm.

Freddo Frogs
Posted: 11/17/2009 3:24:50 AM
Well I just watched the news about this story and it seems it's not just about a boy stealing a Freddo...................no bigger things have come into play like the police possibly targeting the boy because he was Aboriginal.

In the end I have to agree with the owner of the shop. Stealing is stealing. We are not talking about rapists or murderers but if the person had stolen a tv or video we wouldn't all be treating this so lightly...........

Is being woke up with sexual favors rape or not?
Posted: 11/16/2009 12:26:25 AM
The only way I would consider this possibly "rape" would be if I woke up to find the guy riding me without my knowledge............but then I'd have to be in a coma surely.............or attempting to put his doodle in without permission.

Otherwise bring it on.................the rest is good fun.

horror movies = red flag?
Posted: 11/15/2009 3:16:18 PM
If a guy told me that "horror films" were his favourite type of films then we wouldn't have much in common.

Most of them are just an excuse to fill the screen with scary music and lots of gore.....................much prefer the psychological thrillers.

To be honest I'll happily read a Stephen King book but when it comes to the screen too many producers make the films cheesy, in my opinion.

BTW to WomaninProgress who said "King can be PAINFULLY detailed sometimes when introducing characters - can take up half the book...............(something to that effect). My question to you is - Would you seriously rather WATCH one of his films because from memory, apart from the non-horror ones like Misery, The Green Mile and others, the ones you're talking about are crap on the screen.

Oh and for the record I personally LOVE the fact that Stephen King writes in such detail..............that's what makes him so awesome!

Let the lips sing
Posted: 11/14/2009 2:42:50 PM
While this is all very interesting but I have to say that I remember seeing Madonna years ago and it's a similar situation.

Ok so for those that don't know Madonna was first and foremost a dancer. She decided to write some songs and sing them. She hasn't got the greatest voice in the world (you only have to watch concert footage of her to know that) however she doesn't shy away. In fact she was puffed after the first 2 songs from the efforts she puts into her dancing but she kept plugging away.

I also saw Joe C0cker in concert, many moons ago, and he sounds ok but not great. The audience couldn't get enough. It's not always about how great the singer is and I think if Britney had spent more time thinking about being a true champ instead of worrying about how bad she would sound then everything would have been fine. Perhaps she just needs to grow up a bit, that's all.

WHY R OLDER GUYS SO SEXY????????
Posted: 11/13/2009 8:06:08 PM
Message 351 - you'll find alot of guys, who are over 40, getting upset because you're passing them by. They still want to feel that a 30 year old woman will look at them.

Do what you want now because when you hit 40 men who are 40 will still be looking at 30 year old women

My first "cockroach" experience was when we moved to SA 8 years ago and this large. black bug jumped at me from nowhere sending me running down the hallway screaming at 11 o'clock at night while the kids were sleeping and the neighbours were wondering WTF!

Don't they like living in Victoria because I never ever encountered one there?

Very long hair on a woman is very femine and sexy, but few women have long hair
Posted: 11/12/2009 1:53:45 AM
Message 662 - are you telling me I can't even have an opinion? LOL

Seriously that is ridiculous. It's my opinion so don't tell me it's not true. You can believe whatever you like but as far as I'm concerned your statement about a woman not looking like a woman because of shorter hair is totally insane.

I hate long hair on men and I don't care how good looking they are. So yes I don't find alot of "rock stars" very appealing.

Give me a clean shaven man with short hair any time of the day, week, year. An army crew cut is even better................. Now that is very masculine and very sexy..............in my opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chemistry and Feelings versus just a piece of @ss. I don't get it.
Posted: 11/11/2009 10:38:06 PM
This is so interesting to me. I've dated a couple of so-called "hot" guys ( I know they are because I saw the women drooling and trying to get near them ) and they were definitely the worst lovers I've ever had.

The best lovers I've ever had are not guys who I find immediately physically appealing. They are usually tall, skinny men.

As another poster already pointed out - she's just done what a zillion guys do to women all the time!! So suck it up and move on or hang about and take another serving.

And yes she is just with the "hot" guy because he looks good when she's out and mingling with friends.

I must admit I am very fickle when it comes to music..................I can be devoted to a band for ages and then................I'll dump them instantly. Then I'm back a few years later.

Aerosmith will always be a favourite. If you happen to be walking past my house you can often hear me belting out a Queen song.
