so, why are you still single?
Posted: 7/6/2009 4:27:26 PM | Sometimes, I really wonder why I am single. Then I realize that the area of the country that I live in has a predilection towards "family" being the center of people's universe. Why the idea of a family consists of a husband and wife with 2.5 kids is someone elses problem.
As for the answer as to why I am single.
1. I was goal oriented on getting my education and getting a career.
2. I wanted to get a home to call my own.
3. I haven't found the person I am willing to spend the next 50 years of my life with.
I don't think there is something "wrong" with me. I do think that I get tired of doing things by myself. I don't mind paying for a date if I am the one to initiate the date. I really would rather go for coffee than for dinner the first time we meet and I will most likely buy my own. :)
