Hi everyone...I've been on POF for about two months now was curious if this has happened to anyone else. Like most everyone else, I've sent emails to a few women and never got a response back, no big deal, it happens. But there were a couple of different women I've sent emails to, who got back to me about a week later asking if I would be comfortable giving them my phone number because they're not too fond of chain emails. Not a problem, neither am I, so I gave them my cell phone number. Well, I never heard back from any of them (not a problem, it happens), but, I did start receiving phone calls from different dating services, and when I would ask how they got my name & number, they would tell me one of my friends gave them my info, but they wouldn't say who. Now I'm not accusing anyone of giving out my number, but I am curious if that has happened to anyone else.

First off..I'm real sorry for your loss. I totally understand where you're coming from.... Any guy that would run off after hearing about that is just selfish & not an understanding person. If you're ready to move on with your life, it shouldn't bother someone. The last gal I was involved with was sort of in the same situation as you..the guy she was with before she met me passed away. She told me about him on our first date & I was cool with it..I was a little surprised at first, but okay with it. It didn't send me running. Hang in there, you'll meet the right guy again who will be understaning. You don't need any of the selfish clowns.
