Weird Phobias
Posted: 11/9/2006 7:03:39 AM
I have to admit I have night lights also throughout my house..Don't know if it is a phobia or not. I am not afraid of the dark but I am afraid of having to wake up suddenly and not being able to see perhaps due to a possiblity of an intruder or something and I also don't want to step on any cats..

I am terrified of ear wigs and one time there was a huge infestation of them throughout my neighborhood. I was glad I had the night lights because I would see them on the floors eeewww.. That hasn't happened again but whenever I see one I just cringe...

Does the wardrobe make a BIG difference ?
Posted: 11/3/2006 11:35:35 AM
I think it is the same way whether it is a guy or a woman...I also think it depends on when and where ya know the occasion. I dress up and my friends tell me I look hot wearing my little Hollister cotten pants with a t-shirt and no bra on Saturday afternoons watching college football at the pubs.. But yet I will wear a suit or slacks and blouse and go to the piano bar after a day at the office... But nothing gets me more than a guy or girl with a nice shirt such as a button up or v-neck sweater with a nice pair of hot jeans.

And ya know, I go out frequently and even here lots of people rarely dress anymore it is mostly blue jeans or khakis...

Pets and lovers
Posted: 11/1/2006 9:49:18 AM
this topic always seems to make or break a deal.. If i met the "love of my life" then they would need to consent to medications and of course make any arrangements to make it tolerable. I will not give up my cat if a potential partner is allergic.. lovers, partners, whatever will always come and go (dating, live-ins, marriage and divorce) but my cat is not replaceable..Sorry but we all need to make sacrifices and adjustments... whether it's dogs, cats, birds... too many animals end up homeless in shelters and on the streets because of allergies or what not...

What makes YOU special and sets you apart from the rest of your gender?
Posted: 10/31/2006 8:16:45 AM
Compassionate, resourceful, and maybe something else but I can't figure it out.

I am too compassionate... I love cats (all animals) but I will wake up in the middle of the night to do TNR or rush a cat into an emergency vet because he was hit by a car and I will try and upfront as many costs as possible to save his or her life... I would do the same for a dog also... I will also wake up in the middle of the night and pick up that friend who calls and says " i am drunk and can't get a ride" or I need a place to stay for a couple days untill things cool down at the home front. I will offer my couch.

**I have done these things and I am glad I was able to help.

I am also resourceful which helped me work and lead others during animal rescue in St. Bernards' Parish in LA last october and this october from the damages of Hurricane Katrina. We went and set up food stations during the day and would fill in the early mornings and try and do trappings in the late evenings untill 2am to treat and fix many of the animals which were left there. As some of you might know many of those residents animals were not neutered or spayed so the population as doubled of now homeless animals. I would climb through sewage and mud, broken down homes, hardly slept, but it was worth it and i plan on going back again after the holidays when i can get the rest of our cats here in gr adopted out so that i may bring back more...

I also try and educate kids and adults about the importance of spay and neuter programs to try and prevent from current animals adding to the already overpopulation of unwanted animals and strays.. because even today there are still many programs out there in the states which help even low to no income families get their pets fixed

I guess that's it...if i am to wow someone

women and why they think men should buy everything ????
Posted: 10/30/2006 9:19:07 AM
I don't think men should buy everything and when it comes to dating it should be who asks the person out should treat...I went out once by invitation, the guy was like where would you like to go to dinner I would like to take you out on a date. I was like ok, it was after work and I didn't want to really want to go to a "nice" place (and wanted it casual) so I suggested we would go to this pub downtown. The drinks are always good and the food is excellent and all moderately priced. I was there early and paid for my first drink while i had waited, he was 1/2 hr - 45 mins late and didn't call. He sat down at my table and proceeded to order a drink. After about a 1/2 hour of conversation it didn't seem like he was interested in food. So I said it has been a pleasure but it is getting late (maybe I should have said I need to leave I am hungry) anyway he said oh let's get some food. Long story short after all that he stuck me with a $40 bar tab... I couldn't beleive it and he wondered why I never called him back...

I think if you ask someone on a date you treat other than that it is shared..
My one male friend we split our costs as much as possible and yes I do hold the door open for him and I also help him with a jacket it is only polite and nice gesture as I would like someone to help me with my jacket :>)

Re: Interracial dating

Hey Wilde69 onlly 80% serial killers are white males??? Statistics show (87%) the average serial killer is a white male between the ages of 27-52. They usually start at about 27 with their first victims although they usually start out with torturing animals at a much younger age here are some statistics I pulled from the web for a college paper I wrote in a psych class:

Serial Killer Statistics:
- The USA has 76% of the worlds Serial Killers
- Europe, in second has 17% of the worlds Serial Killers
- 84% of American killers are Caucasian
- 16% of American killers are black
- Men make up at least 90% of Serial Killers
- Yet 65% of victims are female
- 89% of victims are white
- 44% of all killers start in their twenties
- 26% of all killers start in their teens
- And 24% of all killers start in their thirties
- Out of all killers, 86% are heterosexual

"According to Hickey's 1997 database of approximately 399 serial killers, the average age of the murderer at the time of the first killing was 27.5 years, and they typically were white males. Criminologists James A. Fox and Jack Levin (2001) found that males made up more than 90 percent of the sample. Seventy-three percent of male offenders were white, 22 percent were African-American, and the remainder were of different ethnic groups. Fox and Levin report that the researcher Grover Godwin's 1999 database of 107 serial killers revealed an average age of thirty. Ninety-five percent were males, 5 percent were females, and 16 percent were African-American. Godwin also found that only 4 percent of his sample graduated with a bachelor's degree, while most were employed in blue-collar jobs. Victims were 67 percent female, with children, prostitutes, and the elderly as other preferred victim categories, although 20 percent of Godwin's sample were males who had additionally been raped by their attackers"

Hope you aren't saying you may be a Ted Bundy based on your profile I would revamp your post if you know what I mean??? Hmmm it would question me to stay away from you

Interracial dating
Posted: 10/24/2006 12:47:50 PM
I don't see a problem with it. Although, I am 3/4 Italian and German my family only wanted me to date italian men (since my father's side was italian) I would love to date an asian woman. I have friends who date asian men and it is soley based on compatible interests and attraction. I am open to mixed races as long as there is a mutual agreement and no conflicts amongst religious beliefs since that may be an issue among different races. The only problem I had ever was with the catholic upbringing although I am no longer a practicing catholic. Good luck!

So what do you go out to do by yourself?
Posted: 10/19/2006 8:26:01 AM
I like to play with my cat. i talk to her and we hunt down all her mice from under the stove, fridge, dresser and such when she sees me with the hanger and flashlight it is pure excitement for her. If I want out I go to the no kill cat shelter which i help manage and volunteer at if I am not scheduled for a shift i just go in and do "cuddle" time which is petting and holding. It is very relaxing for me. The cats including mine aren't very demanding and don't talk back to you I also love reading, going to the bookstores, and couple favorites are the museum and the Meijer Gardens.

In this day and age where we are all work and cell is attached to the hip it is nice to be alone at times. I am always around people and when I want to get away...it is almost like a treat.

Will a non smoker date a smoker ?
Posted: 10/18/2006 5:05:26 AM
I am a smoker (trying to quit) Very difficult thing to do. I smoke outside not in my apartment, I always wash my hands and carry altoids with me. All my dates are non-smokers and don't mind it. I am not constantly having to light up either and am totally respectful especially in restaurants and have even eaten in nonsmoking sections before. My hair only stinks when i go to the pub for a couple hours (who doesn't though at the pubs)but then being outside and in my car...it is almost nonexisitant. It is totally possible...

Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all?
Posted: 10/9/2006 1:12:50 PM
I have met people before without pics...I don't have a problem with it as long as people are honest about their ages. I like older individuals which is my preference. I met one person who said they were about 45 in their profile (okay cool my cup of tea) meet up the kid is 19. No thanks!

DOGS ARE INNOCENT
Posted: 8/4/2006 6:50:54 AM
It was down right sick and if you are saying (it's cheaper) they shouldn't have publicized it. Is their government that freakin stupid to announce that and not expect to get any outcry from everyone. I know americans that live there and I also have to admit that is one country I would never want to visit let live in because of those reasons...

Does Paxil?
Posted: 6/30/2006 6:03:29 AM
Reply to Message 1. I was on paxil once a long time ago for anxiety and have known people on it. I don't think it affects your emotions such as love but I do know one of it's side effects is decreased sexual drive... if she gets off it be prepared for withdrawl, my sister's withdrawl left her highly moody for about a month she was up and down..

Abortions soon to become illegal again
Posted: 6/30/2006 5:59:59 AM
I agree with message 22 by cagewench. I feel partial-birth abortions should be banned as well and that clinical termination within the first 2 months is not murder either. I do agree that a woman should have a choice in the situation. I do promote and cannot express enough how important birth control and condoms are in this day in age but for some reason a woman becomes pregnant and cannot take care of the child it should be her choice since it is her body. We all are adults and always will have to face the consequences of our actions.

A question of money
Posted: 6/29/2006 1:22:02 PM
This guy sounds weird... If money was a problem before hand with hime he should have discussed that issue prior to going out on a date... since he didn't then it also shows he has a communication problem... I wouldn't want to date anyone that can't talk to me about any problems they are facing...

I always make sure I bring enough money to go out with and offer where appropriate such as if it is just a casual meet and greet I expect to pay now if someone invites me out for something prior to getting there I always ask if they would like any help with the bill... I don't know just weird...

Living at home how much of a big deal is it in dating?
Posted: 6/28/2006 11:41:41 AM
I am 30 and just moved back in with my parents due to a divorce and some financial problems I ran into unexpectedly. I work full time and am hardly at my parents home which is the basement where I sleep, but I help clean up while I am there to help them but I do not eat their food, or use the washer and dryer I go to a laundromat... At this time I am looking for an apt but i think it will be a couple more months before I can move out I am also looking for a parttime job so that I can have my own place again... but I tell everyone I meet that I am temporarily displaced by having to stay at my folks house and I think I can largely put the blame on my ex husband thanks to his debt he left me with.... do i like staying there? No by all means since I originally moved out @ 18. but what can i do?

Women who love sex just as much as men: Is it a certian type?
Posted: 6/26/2006 12:27:57 PM
Nope I love sex and am completely insatiable. If I can't get satisified by my boyfriend, I will go to my girlfriend and when she can't wear me out thank heaven for my multispeed! Hey I love sex and everything about it I jut don't think men are equipped enough to always know how to satisfy a woman but here is something for everyone to ponder and mostly for the ladies...

At first I was afraid,
I was petrified,
When you said you had 10 inches
Lord, I almost died.
But I'd spent so many nights
just waiting for a man that long,
That I grew strong,
And I knew that I could take you on. . .

But there you are,
Another lie!
I was ready for a Big Mac
and you've brought me a French fry.
I should have known it was so small,
Just a sad pathetic dream,
Should have known there was no Anaconda lurking in those jeans.

Go on now go,
Walk out the door,
Don't you promise me 10 inches
then turn up with only 4,
Weren't you a jerk to think I wouldn't notice it pop out,
Don't you know we're only joking when we say size doesn't count?

I will survive,
I will survi-ive,
Cuz as long as I have batteries,
My sex life's gonna thrive,
I will always have good sex
with a handful of latex.
I will survive,
I will survive. . hey, hey!

It took all my self control
not to laugh out loud,
When I saw your little wiener
standing small and proud.
But too bad about your ego
and to Hell with all your needs!
Now I'm saving all my lovin'
for a cordless multispeed

Go on now go,
Just make a dash,
Last time I saw a****that small I was treating diaper rash!
I should have asked for confirmation,
Should have asked for pictures, please!
Then I wouldn't have you waving that
wee winkie thing at me.

Go on now go,
Just hit the track,
Don't you bring me home no little worm,
I'll always throw them back.
The only thing that I could do with a****as small as yours,
Is to stick it with a tooth pick And then call it an hors d'oeuvre!

I will survive,
I will survi-ive,
Cuz as long as I have batteries,
My sex life's gonna thrive,
I will always have good sex
with a handful of latex.
I will survive,
I will survive. . .hey, hey!

Go on now go,
Get out of my sight,
I'm going back to my appliance,
Cuz I know it's length is right,
And if I ever see your tiny pecker peckin' at my door,
You'll be counting your 4 inches as you pick them off the floor.
Go on now Go!

hot girls - would you date them?
Posted: 6/26/2006 10:21:58 AM
See sorry but i have to say categorizing someone based on their attire is poor taste also. I don't weigh that much but am healthy and I wear tight shirts on occasion but that isn't to go hopping to clubs or anything like that in fact i like to wear whatever feels right on that date. I like to go to happy hour on occasion with co-workers i wear jeans and stilettos is that stereotyping myself? Nope just confidence...but sorry I am tired of the hot chick stereotypes especially since I am educated and have a nice career...
