How do you know he/she is the indifferent one?
Posted: 11/23/2009 8:56:44 PM
Well Northern I guess that makes you the indifferent one. Haha. I am like you though. I have not sent an email on here in at least a year. As for people being theirselves, that will never happen. It is like those guys and girls that will spend a full paycheck on their cloths to look like they have lots of money when they go to Blvd. But then you get back to where they live and it is a dive. The saying "The world is a stage" is there for a reason.

Dishes. I hate washing the damn dishes. When I have my kids for the weekend it seems that every dish in my house is dirty. I got them up this morning and we all got to cleaning. It is nice having a clean house, now lets see how long it lasts. I am sure by Sunday evening it will be like a bomb went off again. Oh my god, I sound like my mom. Shoot me please.

I o like where I work for the party stuff. We are having dinner and the alcohol is paid for. If you need a cab it is paid for as well. Plus we shut down from Christmas to New Years and are paid for it. I guess that is plus in working at a very small company.

My company has been hit like other. We are a small company though, so there really isn't any staff to get rid of. One side (new equipment) has taken a hit while are other side (parts) has done ok. If I ever win the lotto I can tell you that I will be owning some liqour stores. Seems like that is one of the few businesses that don't get hit during a down turn.

I think we now know all your secrets Alluria. Haha. As for the non-terroist world. I did not name countries because I do not believe that countries on the whole can be considered terroists. I was making a joke of the whole "we need to know what everyone is doing so that we can end terrorism" thing. I swear, the more I hear about countries and governments doing things like this the more I think about the book 1984. If you have not read it then you need to.

Alberta Finance Companies - Can they charge interest on a fee?`
Posted: 11/12/2009 12:33:37 PM
You are correct Ryan, unless the company is charging the $50 on top of the down payment. But the Finance company also could stand to make more money by rolling in the $50 charge and collecting the interest. Most of the interest rates on low dollar loans are crazy high. I have seen some in the 100% or more range (short term payday loans). On a loan like that it almost makes more since to roll the $50 into principal and collect interest.

We are having ours at Jubilations. Ours is a small office, only 6 here. My office is cool, and almost all of us really get along. I am mostly with AE as well, but there are a couple of people here that I consider friends. Hell, I would even hang out with my boss. There is really just one person that no one here likes that much. But yeah, I would rather just get a bonus and skip the party.

I read profiles. I always mention something from that persons profile in my email to them. Doesn't really seem to matter though. I think that many women here don't even read the emails sent to them anyhow. I have had more unread and deleted emails then anything else. I guess I need to pop my collar.

What if the babies are the spawn of higher earners? The child of a wealthy family is more likely to get a better education then the child of a middle class family. With the better education come better opportunities. Also, going to an upper class university also allows one the possibility of networking with influential people, thus giving one better opportunity to move up the economic ladder. Plus if you are going to judge a babies possible income level you need to shoot at the lowest target. So babies should be classed as low income earners for the line purposes. But then the elderly need to be placed at the bottom because they have outlasted their economic usefulness. Ha-ha, this sounds like 1984 by Orwell.

The Ole Switcheroo
Posted: 11/9/2009 12:27:41 PM
As long as governments are in control nothing will be right. I grew up in Texas and things are not right down there. As far a gun control goes, I like what they have. Healthcare is a crapshoot. I had great insurance so it was great. If you don't have good insurance is isn't as good. But you still get seen. The health care system here is better in some ways, and way worse in some ways. There definitely needs to be some tweaking. But on the overall it isn't so bad. Gun control is a crazy issue. If you enforce gun control, all you are doing is taking guns away from the people that are trustworthy. Criminals will get a gun if they want. In Texas they instituted a concealed handgun law. You can become licensed to carry a concealed gun. The gun crimes went down overnight. Now the criminals don't know if you have a gun or not. And if you do have a gun chances are you are better trained in how to use it then the criminal is. But I stand by my first statement. If the government is involved in any way things are bound to be screwed up.

There is no rule that says if you have millions of dollars that you have to live a rock star lifestyle. I have known several people in my life that are very wealthy and you would never know it. One of my former bosses is many times better off then Big Fish, and he lives in a middle class hood. He drives a Jeep Cherokee and his wife grocery shops at the local stores. According to Forbes he is worth almost 2 billion dollars. So just because Markus has money in the bank is no reason for him to flaunt it. Actually showing off the money you have is the fast track to not having the money any longer.

Maybe even better would be to pimp out a west Texas windmill. I am thinking 3000 watts of power bumping 4 15 inch subs. I bet we could put 1000 LCDs on one of those bad boys. And the best part is that it could power itself. But seeing as how West Texas gets pretty hot in the summer, we might want to thing about a snowcone machine in the base.

This weekend it is spending time with my kids. THat is always fun.

Sen is talkinag about Warren Buffet. Yeah, he is deff a wealthy man. And yes he does live in the same small house he bought in the 50's. But he hasn't been the richest man in the US for quite some time. Tcpl is right too. The self made rich do tend to not spend money on unnecessary items. You don't hear about T. Boone Pickens buying a lambo and putting spinning rims on it.

See, I have to disagree with you about Eminem. If you really listen to his words there is lots of messages there. In MOSH he takes aim directly at Bush. In Stan he takes aim at the kind of entertainers that blow off fans, as well as mental illness. There are very few of his songs that he isn't talking about real issues. He is a hell of a talent. Public Enemy is great. 911 was a fav of mine. I guess I liked NWA because they were telling about how it was growing up for them. Not about tons of money and spinning rims.

Soory, but I am not even slightly interested in this movie. It isn't even Jim Carrey on the screen. It is a total CGI movie with his voice. Don't get me wrong, he is a great actor though. I have just seen this story so many times. How many times has it been remade? Anyhow, none of these even touch Scrooged. Bill Murry is one of the funniest guys ever.

Ok, first off I said the virus has mutated. But the H1N1 that is here now is a decendent of the 1918 Spanish flu.
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2187567/h1n1_history_and_recent_developments.html

Flus mutate every year. That is why people still get sick every year. Even the Avion Flu was related to H1N1 (Avion is H5N1).

Oh, another great book I read a while back was "The fall of Baghdad". Great book about the authors experience during the days leading up to and just after the fall of the city.

No Cass, it was the Flames that lost the key to the warehouse. And the Leafs have the spare, but it is 3 cm under centre ice. Ha-ha.. The blame for everything should fall directly on the government. I still think that nobody should be allowed in government that has not run a successful business. Business people know how to organize and make things happen. Generally speaking that is.

Hmm. Awesome. My post looks like it was deleted. How great it is to have free speech. Oh wait, I don't on here. Anyhow, 45 you are right on the money. The players had nothing to do with setting up the shots. The managers of the team asked for the shots, and Ab. Health said ok. That is all that happened. It isn't some conspiracy to take shots from little kids and old ladies.

Oh, and BTW. This is not a new virus. The Spanish influinza of 1918 was the same virus. So was the outbreak in the 1970's. Yeah it has mutated slightly, but it is still the same family. Anyone remember the Avion flu or SARS. Those had everyone freaked out too. It seems to be that H1N1 in the flavor of the week.

Rather, the west cost trail is shorter, but man it is not for a new hiker. A friend of mine (ex back country guide) did it and said it was one of the toughest he has done. But it is very worth it. I am thinking within the next 2 years I am going to give it a shot myself. Another good book is " A wolverine is eating my leg". It is lots of short stories about being in the backcountry, hiking, camping and such. Very funny.

Ms. Sunshine, is Into thin air the one that makes Anatoli Boukreev out to be a hero? If it is I loved that book. There was another on that made him out to be a coward that would not help the people stranded on the mountain. That one was a pile of rubbish. Anatoli Boukreev not only saved many people that night, but he did it at great risk to himself. He even went back up the mountain without oxygen to save time. The man is a true hero.

How about firing the most senior person that screwed up the distribution in the first place. Your right, the Flames are no better then you or me. But they are different. They are different in that they have celebrity status and would cause an major situation if they showed up at a clinic to stand in line. Again, I stand by my statement that this is a non issue put forth to take the heat off of the real issue. The lack of leadership and organization in getting the shots out in the first place.

And one more thing. This isn't a fair world people. Some people get preferential treatment. Get over it. There is no such thing as a utopian society where everyone is treated the same. It doesn't exist. Oh, and there were regular folks jumping the line as well. Some people were holding spots for their friends. I guess they need to be named and vilified too. Everyone, pick up your stones. It is time to make them pay.
