Hi Pegleg,

I used to live in Charlotte , and rode (car usually ) to Morrow Mtn many times. Saw deer everytime I went. I used to picnic on the lake, and just enjoy the day there. What a neat spot. I am looking for someone to share a ride (on bike) now.

Do you live in NC or TN?

Bikerpj,

I would love to ride with someone in the Asheville area. We, of course, have the Blue Ridge Pkwy and lots of beautiful scenery around here. Great places to ride.

I just need a friendly biker with a nice bike who would like to share. I am a bit older, but still love to ride with the wind in my hair...no bugs in teeth wanted however!!

Well Beamer,

You are quite welcome!

Happy to be of service! Guess you clicked on my reply box instead of hers! LOLOL. No problem... Perhaps I have a new line of work as a reviewer also.

Lolla, do you need help with all this communication??? She must communicate with more men than the law allows!!!

Hi Beamer,

Great profile! You and I like all the same things, however I am outside your age requirement to answer on POF. I am an older woman of 61! Still quite lively and full of fun! Thanks for replying. Of course, maybe you were trying to contact Lolla!

Lolla36c,

Thanks so much for your reply.

Well, not as many offers and mail as I would like. LOLOL!

Since I don't have a home puter, and no digital camera, it makes it a little difficult. Occasionally, someone will refuse to even TALK with me because of no pix. Well, that's just their loss, right???

Hi there,

Please review my profile. I know a pix would help but have to get on public computers and have no digital camera.

Thanks for your input. I do get quite a few emails, so guess it's not too bad.

Asheville Get Together
Posted: 8/7/2006 12:41:46 PM
Hi,

Count me in... anything coming up soon? I live in the Asheville area, have been on here about 8 months...have met a couple of nice quys... would love to meet more.

I love motorcyles, outdoors, camping, boating, would love to just get together with some friends to just hang out and do various activities. Picnics sounds great as does the Parkway trip. There is so much free music in Asheville to hear, lots of close towns with things going on.

Love to hear from you local folks!

Anyone from South and North Carolina and surrounding?

Hi there everyone,

Sounds like we have the interest, and the peeps, so who is going to organize this great party??? Charleston sounds like a great place, plus seems we have several peeps right here in Asheville also. Why not two parties? One in NC/ one in SC, we can come to one or both.

Who's a great organizer out there? Any volunteers to pull this together?

First POF dating experience

OK, now I have met and dated several guys on here. On the first one, he thought he was all that and a bag of chips, and I was not what he was looking for. So, that's ok with me, after all there are more fish in the sea. ( By the way, he is still looking even tho he is on many favorites lists!)

On the second date, with another man, which lasted SIX DAYS (!!!) by the way... we got along great, laughed, cut up, he came to my city... I went to his city...we had lots in common and I thought I had found a winner. We met again and that date lasted THREE DAYS! I went to his city that time also. Still getting along great at this point.

He turned out to practically refuse to communicate with me, when I stopped doing all the calling. He wanted me to continue to do it all, ended up us saying goodbye... we got along great when together, but he had never had a long distance relationship and did not have a clue that he was supposed to do his share of communication.

So, heads up guys: when you find a great lady that digs you, and vice versa, at least do your share of the communication. Most everyone you meet will be long distance, most likely, unless you luck up and find her in your home town.

So this here girl is still out there

It really hurts when someone you felt so close to has disappeared on you...as happened to me recently!

I "met" this super guy on here.... IM many many hours, emailed many more messages each one sweeter than the last... I was looking forward to our meeting. He seemed to be as sincere about the relationship as I was.... I would be willing to have a LTR with this man.

We both expressed a desire to meet, and both felt a kindred spirit with each other....so I thought! He disappeared on me without a reason, warning or anything except that he was having computer problems. OK, so, I know that happens. Then the waiting continued!

This is the only man on here that I have wanted to meet ASAP.. He does live quite a distance away, but we still talked of getting together and I was planning on extending an invitation very soon.

He is still writing on the forums, so I guess I was just being mislead and given a line......don't do this, guys.... as some of us are very sensitive and new to this type of communication.

I am still waiting for my first meeting on POF, but have "met/talked with lots of interesting people.

Don't like when someone disappears on me that I wanted to meet.... that always hurts especially if we don't know the reason.

So, I am looking forward to my first meeting on POF also. There are some really great guys out there.... good luck to you all.

I don't have a pic on here to rate, but I do have a profile which I update with fresh information on a regular basis. That way, someone may see something interesting that you had just added and say, hmmmm, sounds good! I think I want to contact that person!

I actually do read the forums because it does give you insight into what someone is thinking and how they express themselves. I have met several interesting men by reading their thoughts. So try doing that first before just answering a profile COLD!

Also, if you do have a pix on here, try to make it the best one possible of yourself. Not too far away, or indistinct. A good closeup of a facial shot is what I prefer... but hey, that's just me! A nice smile always helps too!

Good luck,

Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all?
Posted: 10/27/2005 8:34:12 AM
Original, that is a great answer and it is such a shame more men don't have your attitude about this. Kudos to your wisdom in seeing beyond the surface!

I am one of those women with no pix posted. It is not because I am not attractive or am a dog, or anything else undesirable! I simply do not have the digital camera needed to post a pix and am using a public computer until I can purchase my own.

I corresponded with one man who said I had to send a pix to even communicate. This is really shallow and who would want that man anyway? He had already said the distance was further than he wanted to travel..(3 Hrs) which was OK, so I suggested pen pals. That is when he said he would need a pix.... duhhh! How shallow is that?

So, again, good job, Original! Thanks for believing beauty is much more than just surface appearance. And some pixs on here are really scary anyway!

Things you should NEVER say to a man..LOL
Posted: 10/22/2005 10:05:30 AM

I believe the worst thing you could say to a man would be: "What did you say your name was again??? " after you have talked many times, been out on dates and even kissed a few times!

Fortunately, that has never happened to me because I am very careful to remember their name.

Why are women attracted to musicians?
Posted: 10/21/2005 4:34:13 PM
Yes, guess that would do it, cause I don't even do Karoke! But I do like musicians also. Seems everyone almost that I have dated played or does play a guitar. Since I can't play anything very well, I just am attracted to those people who can. It is a talent that I wish I had. So, I guess admiration as well as just liking the music plays a factor.

So, all you musicians out there..... drop me a line and tell me what you would like to play for me.

I think lots of us are looking for a real relationship, but there are a lot of players out there as well. I still enjoy the communications. Am new to this site, but having lots of fun talking to guys.

Am also over 50, and don't mind it too much. Life just gets better with age and wisdom.
