How to forget someone that ......
Posted: 8/22/2009 9:24:22 PM
Hi Rosiag, It takes time. When it just happened, you may feel too hard. Put more attention to other things and get more supports from friends and families. After some time, you will feel better and will meet a nice guy too! ^_*

Guys Please help me understand why??????
Posted: 8/22/2009 9:19:43 PM

Dating is like baking a cake, you have to keep trying, failing and improving at it until you come up with the perfect one. You're not divorced yet, few men will take your dating attempts seriously if you still have ties to a husband. The odds of romance failure are far greater when the woman or man is not single.
I agree with you.

Never married?
Posted: 2/18/2009 9:25:17 PM
Just come back to Canada after a trip to China. Visited my son and families. Read "Never Married?" thread again... lol ... Sometimes I wish I was never married but no one can change the past. --- A few days ago, when I told my ex that I wanted to see my boy, he told me to pay him money at first lol ...
I still remember, he hired the best lawyers and prepared well for the divorce. He did get all he wanted just because I didn't fight against him at all. --- when you are confronting the lies and betrayal, what would you feel and think? --- I chose to leave with silence and became a workaholic to forget everything.
After some time, I went back to normal and moved on. However, he's still resentful today. Probably he feels silly that he spent so much to prepare for a tough divorce but it was too easy to understand... I just feel sad for my son's lonely life without a mum and wish everyone would be happy in the end.

If a marriage is a fault, please just remember this fault comes from the love and the man (or woman) we fully loved and trusted. If you've never married, please feel happy that you will experience it sooner or later. No one is wrong no matter he/she is married or not, divorced or not. We are just kids learning to love and to be loved.

lets hope it's contagious

Hehehe... Let's get it looks like more contagious.... Nlights, good news come from horoscope signs (sorry no good news from men hahaha)... It says that Jan 26 there is a solar eclipse...with Jupiter's passionate helps in Aquarius, and new moon ....! So Jan 26 to Feb 26 will be a very loving month!!! Esp. good for those looking for the ones on line hahaha..... Things will become much better after Feb4th!

Shaving your head....
Posted: 1/25/2009 5:54:31 PM
I like people who look good with a shaved head...
I've never shaved my head lol... I've enjoyed my long hair since 12 years ago. Never plan to have a change --- cuz short hair or shaved will ask more time to visit a hair stylist lol...
However, I remember some girlfriends I have... they look really COOL with shaved head! I like people who shave their heads... sexy and cute!!!

Going on a vacation by yourself? Good or Bad idea?
Posted: 1/24/2009 8:42:17 PM
I am so happy to meet different people via different ways! I still can remember a teacher--- she's more than 80 years old but she travelled all over the world by herself or with her ex or daughter! She's pretty cool... I do admire her very much. Even she doesn't have a lot money to do travels often but she schedules her travel plans very well.... at least one year one destination. I always encourage my girlfriends to go travel alone... cuz we can discover more from this way!!!

Why are good looks only skin deep ?
Posted: 1/24/2009 4:56:52 PM
Good looks?
Generally guys attracted me are "ugly" in my girlfriends' eyes!!!
Sometimes they like to tease me "have no taste at all" but we do understand that people are attracted by different types... ...
We don't judge a "good partner" by "good looks" ...
If a man tries to date just because of appearance, I will feel very sad and have no interest in him at all. Everyone wants herself to look as better as she could; I am proud to keep myself fit with a younger looks; but that's for myself ...
I am still a woman without "good taste" and would tell my girlfriends that they picked "ugly" or "strange" guys if they told me the same lol...

isnt advertising for volunteers and associated charity crap taboo in this forum? i know several other threads that were erased because of it in the past

I will feel very sad if volunteering and charity threads were deleted!
I can not understand that... but I don't want the volunteering and charity topics are blocked away from our life.... Volunteers may not help a lot for the jobless or homeless; however, their contribution to the community is the best gift and encouraging fact in our life!!! Also, volunteering and charity activities help our kids turn out well!!!
Even if everyone just moves a little bit to a same direction, our society would reach our target faster!!! Fire1313, ignore the negative voice and go to do it....!!!

Me, I would rather have compatible company while on a vacation.

Everyone wants to have COMPATIBLE company while on a vacation but ... lol ... When there is none, you still need to leave for a vacation, and you might meet a great one in a boring plane... or by the street!

I do, however, dislike the fact that people who initiated IM didn't read my profile.

hahaha... I feel the same... Even I list everything on my profile; some still keep asking: "Are you single?""How old are you?""Are you female?""Do you have kids?"....

Hi Tiny,
Yes I will go to Edmonton after my Feb vacation... You did a very good job! I would be a loyal fan for this book club lol... It is great to share ideas and learn from others!
About the book..... I just decide to get a book for my vacation flight-reading later: Debt and the Shadow Side of Wealth, Margaret Atwood.
I think the books I read are boring and may not suit for a book club. I would like to hear your voice... Anything you would like to recommend?

How about booking a vacation then trying to meet someone to go with you?
Posted: 1/20/2009 8:34:44 PM
I always like to find some local people on line before I leave for there lol....
But I never set it up as a date since you never know who they are.
It is a good way to make new friends. I did make a lot friends from this way and they provided lots of good ideas of my vacation. Also great ideas, great friendship.

Do you see divorced people as damaged goods?
Posted: 1/20/2009 8:28:13 PM
As a divorced woman, I feel very grateful that God grants me a new chance, a new life and new hopes for a better future.

Marriage is a commitment between two persons under some specific circumstances. It is not just who's problem or whose fault. It is just a lesson of life.

My course cost me about 350....and you can find poster's up at any of the bike shops.

vroom vroom

Unfortunately, the license is the cheap part. Then you buy a bike, gear, insurance, and then (when you can afford it after paying for all that) some accessories to customize your bike to your liking.

And its all worth it.

I was a biker lol...Unfortunately, I am a new immigrant... so have to wait enough time to get higher license lol

Is internet dating wrong?

It is not wrong. My brother and his wife knew each other from internet.... If there was no internet, how could they dig each other out? --- He's a teacher in computer science but she's a doctor who was too busy to date (well she could date doctors lol) --- they had no intersection at all before they met on line.

They've been together happily for more than 8 years.... very positive couple... have been went through lots tough things.

It doesn't make any difference if you meet someone from a bar, in the street, on line or whatever else...

Posted: 1/11/2009 3:10:31 AM
I met him at facebook.... cuz his pictures were too silly and I laughed a lot.
I added him to friend list and started to check his pictures regularly; I never send him message or comment on his posts cuz I just like to observe... and every day there are so many people to observe lol...
After a few months, he seemed suddenly noticed me on his list, sent me messages and asked me questions.... A few months later we started to date.
