I can't get on with my grown up daughter BUT she still lives at home..
Posted: 4/4/2010 2:35:41 PM
I never washed my hands of my daughter at 14

I've no idea why you would think such a thing as its simply not true

She choose to live with her dad after the divorce simple as that really

Her choice

She has regreted that choice so many times since

But now she is happier not living with us and at almost 20, she is a grown up and able to vote with her feet

And we are all happier that she no loner lives with us

Everyones a winner

Washing my hands of her never happened, she washed her hands of us

a caring father and step father

caring nana and grandad

and of couse me a caring mum

Do I forgive her for causing me years of torment, not quite yet

But she is happier so there is no issue

Your kids may always be your children as long as you live, but they need to become responsible for themselves

They thank you for it in the end

What is a boyfriend?
Posted: 4/4/2010 1:14:56 PM
To me a boyfriend would be ONLY a man with me with a view to long term living together and marraige

But thats me

I loved being married and I miss it

Been single for a while, loved that too, but as I have no ties, I can do/go where I want for the righ relationship

I cant lie, I have used men just for sex but in no way where they ever boyfriend partner material

But we dont all want the same thing

I just don't feel that 2 people living in seperate homes, leading mostly seperate lives is really a boyfriend girlfriend relationship

Its purely convenience

You do need to talk to her

Tell her what you want from her

And when you want it

If in say 6 weeks time, there is no change, then she must leave

She will learn to live with others that dont love her and wont put up with her foibles

Its the only way to keep you both sane

She has had it all her own way and you to herself for far too long

You can and will love her PLUS someone else

I had a similar thing happen when my now 19 yr old daughter went to live with her daddy aged 14, he threw her out 2 yrs later cos she was a bloomin nightmare to live with

She now lives in Spain with bf and family, quite blissful but few of her uk friends or family miss her

Email me anytime if you need to

I do wish parents thses days would STOP trying to be their kids best friends and forgiving of anything

Look what problems society has because of this ME ME ME generation

Is it wrong to ENJOY being SINGLE... until the right person come's along?
Posted: 4/4/2010 8:52:53 AM
I like being single far more than I thought I ever would

But I don't want to get to a certain age where I have a house full of cats and everything that is spoken of is in the past

I live alone

I dont like ALWAYS being on my own

Friends are all well and good

I socialise a bit but seems everone is younger prettier skinnier etc even though I have far less ties

Where does a women that doesn't overly like pubs or clubs go to meet ?

The new Doctor Who. What do you think?
Posted: 4/4/2010 8:31:17 AM
I loved the start to the new series

Matt Smith looks quirky enough while still appealing to the female fan base

The story was good, funny and very entertaining

1 that all the family can sit round and watch.

Cant wait for the next episode

I always thought it was far too hot and sweaty

and people just look like they're from that matrix movie

'older' women having babies
Posted: 3/14/2010 7:34:30 PM
I think really older mums are a wee bit selfish

well a lot really

And I know that sometimes its not a choice to become pregnant

But I also think that accidental pregancies in this day and age are far too ridiculous when there is so much info and free contraception

But If a guy wanted NO KIDS or NO MORE KIDS

I would consider myself lucky

Who really wants someone elses baggage

cold hearted
Posted: 3/14/2010 7:25:29 PM
I dont think tht they are cold hearted

Just think that maybe they have found other/better things to do with their time and that to THEM means not talking to you

If we spent out time worrying too much about what others think then we would never get a wink of sleep

Maybe this person has found a fabulous new lover that they love to spend all their free time with and just didn't tell you purely on a "need to know" basis.

I came across a seemingly sweet honest man on here

He offered to take me to the theatre, any event, any day, my choice

So we chatted on msn......but

And here's the but

He SAYS

He lives with his parents in his house

His choice to do so as 75% of the time he works away, no problem there then if its true and what a nice man.....

BUT

He won't EVER take calls whilst he is in HIS OWN HOME!!!

Married and lying springs to mind, or am I just toooo tooo cynical?

Apart from metal
Posted: 2/20/2010 10:26:46 AM
I have loved metal from the 70's such as sabbath, saxon, del leppard, cooper, and lots and lots more.

Never worn leather or denim and definately never trainers so I do often stand out in my MnS suit and pearls but hey, I like what I like

I still go to the big concerts really, not a gig person. I like a seat now I am getting old.

Do women forgive cheating men too easily in this country?
Posted: 2/16/2010 7:16:23 AM
PERSONALLY,
I don't like a cheat of any sex

Once a cheat and a liar always a cheat and a liar in my book.

If you took him off another women, some other woman will/can take him from you easily enough.

Do we forgive cheats too easily in this country?

No we don't, look at the divorce figures and the reasons why.

I would rip a mans bollix off if he cheated on me and I found out.

Posted: 2/4/2010 5:01:55 AM
now don't get me wrong
I don't wish her any harm

I hope she finds true happiness with Alex, I fancy him too, hes so lovely

But if he fancies her, he's less of a man in my eyes.

He can do better

Shes a user, he maybe is too, so maybe he will be with her while his stardom rises and then take her for every penny, who knows.

Maybe he does love her, I hope he does, Pete did and hes a real sweety.

I would hate to be Petes new lady and have to go pick up those kids from Katie, I bet she would be a right nasty cow about her

Favourite nights out/places to go
Posted: 2/4/2010 4:43:28 AM
I totally adore a meal out and a night at the theatre, cinema, concert venue

I have never ever been one for drinking in town and trawling bars and don't intend to start now at the grand old age of 45.

If I go to a pub, I like a seat, friends round, a nice pint of chilled cider or glass of wine and fresh food made on the premises.

And if on an economy drive, a bag of chips to share by the river, el plonko for 2, and lots of snogging

Does anyone actually LIKE being called well fit?
Posted: 2/4/2010 4:11:11 AM
If a guy called me well fit in an email, I would smile

But I would rightly or wrongly assume he might sound like 50cent or some other crass rapper type fellow and that in itself would put me off slightly.

But I would feel flattered or course, besides I AM WELL FIT

hahahaha

I agree

Its nothing to do with cost

Its to do with imaturity

I drink, mostly at home, can afford it, NEVER been drunk in a city street nor in the back of an ambulance or police car throwing my guts up.

Nor ever shall be.

Leave them on the streets I say, let them choke if they're daft enough

Ideal opportunity to ask a question.

I have to say that my experiences have been different

If I like a profile and what a guy says to me in the initial email, he often will have my number by email 2, 3, or 4.

But I have had 8 NO SHOWS since september.

What chat to me then not show up?

Its beyond comprehension.

Why waste each others time?

I hate months and months of emailing, I want my number 1 man and I want him NOW!!!

People that have 6 children under 12

etc etc

I know there is not point in even talking, so its saves us both potentially wasting each others time

Should John Terry step down as captain of England?
Posted: 2/2/2010 6:17:49 PM
Its not JUST about the affair

He is clearly not man to be trusted in any way shape or form.

He lies to his nearest and dearest, and best friend, he will lie to anyone about anything.

Just because men OR women can and DO have affairs, it doesn't mean they should be expected to just he has a job in the public eye where women fall over themselves chasing him.

If he could not say no to them, he should never have got married, remained single and been a player in more ways than one.

Dating and the Confident Woman

A man is not a wimp just because he lets a woman take control in the bedroom.

On the contrary, he is MORE of a man than most.

He will appreciate that if she is satisfied, so shall he be, always.

Hes a surrendered man thats all, but wimp he most certainly is not.

Yes of course he should

Its not essentially about the affair but the lies.

How can anyone have any respect for him, they will all wonder where the next lie is.

A man that lies to the women he has promised to love and respect will lie to ANYONE AND EVERYONE ABOUT ANYTHING.

He deserves all he gets for the pain he has inflicted on innocent people that loved him.
