can someone tell me how to make bread and butter pudding please

To make your pudding, beat 2-3 eggs until eggs are frothy & light, add 4-6 tablespoons sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence to 1/2 litre to 1 liter of milk. This will depend on the size of your bowl/casserole dish. Beat all ingredients together well, before pouring into your casserole dish. Butter 2 slices of bread, spread with your favourite jam. Then cut each of the buttered bread & jam into a total of 8 pieces. Place the bread pieces on top of your custard, with buttered side facing up, not down into your custard.
Next take a small hand full of sultanas & sprinkle all over your bread & custard. Some will stay on top of your bread, while other's will sink to the bottom of your dish.
This is ok, so don't worry about it. Before you start to cook your pudding, taste it with a teaspoon, just to check if it is sweet enough for you.
You can cook it in the oven or in your microwave. Your pudding/custard will be cooked when you test it in the oven with a fork & the custard is not runny. It will look a little like scrambled egg.
You will learn to make it with no problems after a couple of times, as it will depend on how large your casserole is & how much milk you use.
HINT: If use a large dish, then use extra eggs. It is the eggs that sets your custard. I always use an extra egg, but it up to you.
Happy Cooking Regards
