Meanderings in My Mind
Posted: 11/23/2009 4:59:14 AM
Just a quick note, for those
who want to know~
some of the pain
(and therefore distress)
is in at least partial reprieve.

I shall take what I can get!
Make hay while the sun shines.
Try not to expect, yet
let myself hope this may mean
some sunnier days to come.

That's it you see, perhaps the key.
No matter how hard I try,
I've never been able to give up hope,
not completely,
no matter how rational it seems.

So the compromise seems to be
what wisdom has been spoken all along:
engagement without attachment
giving without expectation
(trying to) live as if I've never been hurt before.

Just thought you'd like to know.

keep chin up or

raindrops are refreshing

even the ones that tremble from your lips
to splash

Rosie~

Lol! You silly billy!
Yes, of course, you know it's so
as I am not one wont to sew
deception.

A living truth,
an inner birth,
freedom in perception.

Your spirit was there
with me to share,
following inner direction.

And yes, it was a gas! A friend took a few pics afterwards, I'll have to rustle them up for you. :-)

Speed Racer~

Thanks! And yes, I wrote it. It was a fantasy of mine from when I was in my 20's to do a sexual strip tease--of the "you can look but cannot touch" variety, to dance sensually with the intent to arouse (something I previously saved for in private with my lovers)--as opposed to sensual dance for my own enjoyment. That poem is autobiographical of the night, a few months back, when I did it. Now I can say "been there, done that." :-)

Ever heard of a Bucket List? Well, it's the time in my life when I'm willing to risk trying things I'd like to try. One definition of insanity I've heard is, "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Well, I know what doing what I've done in the past has gotten me. Now, in order to have different experiences, I am trying different things. I am enjoying the process of discovery.

As far as being nude in front of people? I maintain a clothing-optional household and feel comfortable in nudist environments. If you have practiced nudism, then you know it has nothing to do with sexuality per se and there is social ettiquette about sexual expression in such environments. Stripping is about S E X ! :P

Being naked is different from being nude. Nude is simply unclothed. Naked is what I often am, here on the POF poetry threads, in my other writings, and elsewhere in my life. That is: exposed and vulnerable. Exposing the inner parts of myself to view. And yes, when I danced that night, nude* and sensual and sexual, I was also naked to the view of my audience. Perhaps that's why I got more tips than any other dancer that night. For them it was a job; for me, it was an authentic expression of my Self.

* except that in the jurisdiction in which I danced, I was not allowed to uncover my crotch. Oh, well!

Sail them, horde them (they may be worth gold one day).
Each trinket taken from my conquests
finger bones all lined up in a row on the mantel
Now and then I nibble on the edges
just a little bit--to see if any meat is left
but all that's left is gristle.

Ah! Such satisfaction as I had
when youths were mine aplenty.
I had no need to borrow; I had quite a horde.
Now I horde my meager bones,
few now they might be.
The old ones have all gone brittle,
shards sitting by the window sill,
watching for their opening
when they can escape to freedom.

Back they'll go, to kin forgotten
shiver up under soft seat cushions
just to be near those who once loved them.

^^ LMAO!

by dawn incineration is complete.
each batch of cookies burning to a crisp.
I know I used to know how to do this!
What happened to the oven, gone to bits
it has, with crusts of bread and crusts of pies
all gone, in smoke, up to the skies
while charcoal forms are left behind,
not easy eating! Get behind
me, Satan! Take away your cursed stove
and let me have back the tools that used to work,
which yielded such golden crusted births
that folks from all around would call,
just to see what's on the sill
and hang around exchanging news
while birds around our feet were hopping
catching up their golden fill!

He shall follow its beat to see how to fare,
down, down, into the dappled air
from whence come dreams of fairies aire
the musical thistle down
come riding past the dragon's wing
where maidens fair are heard to sing
and twinkling motes dance lazily
on wafting breezes made quite gently
by tips of dragons' tails slightly swishing
while limbs in dragon dreams are twitching.

Letting down the load I'd shouldered
that had become a burden on my back.
Wondering why he doesn't come to see me,
wondering what is was I lacked?
Speaking frankly to clear the air,
reaffirming we both care.
He says he'll do things differently.
Will that really come to be?

Don't know what the future holds,
just know that I had to be bold.
Had to say what was in my heart,
ask why we've grown so far apart.
Only so many things I had to try,
over and over till my well was dry.
Tools all taken from my kit
didn't seem to help, well, maybe a bit.

Though not much hope I hold for change,
I'm willing to have my thoughts rearranged.
I'm open to being surprised.

But now I've laid that burden down,
and though depression dwells here for today,
I've freedom gained as new wings form--
this tells me I'm on my true Way.

Thank you for your delicious and beautiful words.
You sure do have a way with them, bad boy.
What a delicious ending to this sequence.
I'm glad you were inspired to write on it again.

Sometimes some people need the rough stuff
to get past their infernal internal barriers
and release what is deeply buried inside.
Sometimes that is love.

He reached through the screen and touched me.
Reached through and laid his… words upon me.
Inflamed my mind with desire for his touch, for
the way he touches me through the aether.

His hands upon my breasts, hot breath on my
flesh. A hot, hard thing sliding right up to … just…
there! He knows how to touch me to please me,
hungers for my orgasm to build his own excitement

until he can finally release, milky white ribbons
streaming through the space that used to separate us.
Now joined, breaths and bodies mingled, our juices,
once separate, are now comingled beyond parting.

Back to our lives we each go, my electronic lover and me,
safely locking away the keys to our lustful bower until
the time comes once again when we must meet outside
of time, for a bit of R&R that truly refreshes.

Just sitting here, feeling the pain
wishing I had a c*ck to suck on
to distract me from the outside
that's stuck on the inside

Free me from the present
bring me into a more immediate present
Don't care if you don't understand
You, the burgeoning masses

There are the few who know the more,
the depth inside my meaning.
Bodies and spirits ain't exclusive things.

I've practiced asceticism.
I've practiced fasting and endurance.
I'm practicing compassion, lovingkindness.
You gotta go through those steps, I think,
before you can really use sensuality to access the divine.
Oh, not really. Some can do it the first go-round.

But I still don't know if I care what you, you public beast,
think of me and my desires.
Touch me, relieve my distress.
I get tired of doing it alone.

Stretching on the sofa there
was a sleeping big brown bear.
She snored so loud she shook the house,
which drove away each and every louse.

And to the landlord took their cause:
"We have to trim those mighty claws!
'Cause once we wake her, first thing she'll do
is slash what's in front of her, claw right through!

So please, oh please, dear Druidic man,
say you'll help us, tell us you can
find a way to stop those snores!"

He thought and thought, and then thought some more.
Perhaps they could just pry open the door
and then stick through some very long stick
and through the Bear's thick pelt could prick;

or perhaps a good poke would do the trick,
with a thick iron rod if she broke the stick.
"Whatever else it takes, we must do it,
or all the good china will be shaken to bits!"

Oh where, oh where is our Jaunty Jain
hoping he'll come and share words again
though "The Samsara Surfer" leavens my heart.
I'd like to think it was some son of a b i t c h
and not my own choice
that grabbed me by the throat
and threw me then into the boat
raped me once, twice, and again
just, he said, "because I can!"
It's not my body that he took
but my soul, my heart, my faith he shook

The aftershocks then spun me round.
I found myself upon the ground.
I knew at once he'd thrown me out.
I got up, then floundered about
but found a trail or two that led
away from the beach. I sped!

That began this current journey
where branching pathways often confound me.
Sometimes I find I double back
thinking a "do over" is what I need, thinking I lack
some essential thing, or something I've lost,
or perhaps a thing I'd never thought to have.
Is any of it bad?

I wonder about those who say,
"It's all good."
Is this what they mean?

Grrroaning over a broken computer
what if they were made of pewter?
Then you could shape them by yourself
not have to pay the computer Gods
to fix or hand you over one that's new
one they say's "just right for you"
which, once it's home, you find again
the tool's not gonna be your friend
'cause you're a round peg
and it's a square hole
and "user friendly" just means it's polite
when it tells you you're not doing it right!

Woo hoo, Rosie! Way to kick bootie! *grins*

lipo~ Thank you for your story.

For everyone: I'm still feeling very shy and overwhelmed.
It's hard for me to take in a lot of stimulation from the outside.
So I will duck in and out as I am able.

Here's a new one I came up with:

"Ghandilions"
copyright 2009 BearWoman2

Deeply rooted, I cannot be destroyed.
Kill my body, and my kindred remain.
You can never remove us all,
though you only see an obstacle
to be overcome.

I come to heal the rifts you’ve made,
the scars [d]ragged across human hearts:
ruptures transformed into nourishment.

I am the golden-headed wine
that warms in winter’s dark;
the bold, bright color
of summer’s tinkling laughter;
the draught of rejuvenation
that purges long-held toxins.

Why do some, then, see me only
as a weed?

I hold the space where
human hearts wish to dwell,
the green-deep nourishment
that penetrates your cells.
You cannot do it alone.
Did you forget?

You need the memory of me,
you need my persistence—
the bright reflection of my face
lighting up your eyes.
You cannot do it alone.
But then, neither can I.

Your sweet song breath
upon my soft cloud head
wishes my children onward.

You must take me in
for me to fulfill my function.
I am not complete until
we two become as one.

After all, my roar is a quiet one
heard only by ears who

Meanderings in My Mind -- (Foot)steps on The Path
Posted: 10/17/2009 4:15:25 AM
Dear We~ Thank you for sharing your experiences and theirs.
They are blessed to have you there. As I am to have you here.

Once upon a time, a small child was skipping down a path.
Abruptly, the child stopped and began picking up small pebbles
from the ground. These were dropped eagerly in pockets. Soon,
the child's pace slowed. Upon the ground sat the child, gazing
gloriously at each new treasure discovered.

Soon, a parent arrived. "What are you doing sitting there upon
the dirt? You'll get your clothes dirty."

"I'm okay," said the child.

"Yes, I suppose you are," said the parent, briskly brushing
leaf litter and twigs off the child's clothing. "Hmmm, not too bad.
Don't think any stains will set." And then to the child: "Come along
now, we've got to be going. Don't want to be late."

"No, no, we don't want to be late," echoed the child, hand in pocket
caressing the hidden treasure.

As usual, the dog ran ahead, around, behind, around, and ahead again.
The human friend laughed gaily at such antics. The dog barked in
delighted response. Now and then the dog would pick up a stick or a
stone and bring it to the human, who would then obligingly toss it in
some semi-anticipated direction, as often as the dog wished.

Sometimes one or the other would stop at some spot of interest along the way--a bush,
a flower, the scent markings of other animals. Times when the walks were longer,
there would be extended stops at sun-baked rocks by the stream, or under the
branches of a sheltering tree.

When one of the pair tired, it would be time to head back home. Sometimes
the human started before home before they tired, knowing they'd be glad to
get home when they did. Then a snuggle down on a soft bed and a warm cup of tea
would spread the warmth deeper into their physical bodies.
