Its not taboo. It's a free country. Go to the bar, order a drink...and have fun. It's time that women embrace the fact that we dont live in Victorian England and NO, we don't need a chaperone. If anyone thinks its odd that you are in a bar alone, then its THEIR problem not yours.

Social drinking means that you have one or two drinks, you don't drink to get smashed, you maintain control over yourself. Also, you dont NEED to drink in social settings. To me, having a glass or two of wine with a nice italian dinner is social drinking.

Im childfree and choose to stay that way. I've found that there are many men who simply do not care about the issue (this bothers me because they may not be thinking long term and then suddenly realize that they do want to breed). Also, there are some men who will ask me WHY I dont want kids and then go on to say that I must HATE children. I don't mind dating a man who already has kids, heck..Im even open to adoption....so of course I dont hate kids. I've found alot of men to be ignorant and brainwashed by society because they were raised to think that ALL women want babies. On a positive note, the men who "understand" and who feel the same as I do as usually somewhat enlightened and tend to more often be free thinkers. So, honestly...being child-free actually attracts better people my way...
