If you could change one day in your past, what...

Aug. 25, 1978. My 17 year old brother died in a car wreck. I found what was left of him. He'd missed a turn and clipped a telephone pole with a power transformer on it. The car flipped a few times and then exploded when the sparks from the transformer found the gas.
A small tuft of hair and a small piece of shirt were not burned. I then had to go tell my parents. Ya, i'd like to try that day over again.

Obama drops the ball...again.
Posted: 11/8/2009 10:13:06 AM
Obama was sworn in over 10 months ago when does Obama start taking the blame for what he has done and does..

Exactly what do you want to blame him for....that wasn't started by Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld? It took those blithering idiots 8 years to screw things up, yet you figure Barack can make everything nice and shiney in 9 or 10 months ?? Barack dropped the ball at Fort Hood ??? What did he do make some minor mistake ?? BIG FRIGGIN DEAL !! OK?? He hasn't wadded up the constitution and used it for toilet paper like the previous crowd did. Link?? Try this :
http://archive.democrats.com/preview.cfm?term=Iraq%20War%20Fund%20Diversion

And here's another for you.Ya, good old George "support the troops" Bush was hard at work here. And you whine about some minor mistake at Fort Hood ????

http://dailypundit.com/?p=19319

How about your brilliant minority leader Boehner ? The guy is a buffoon. At the latest little tea party gathering in washington he decides to read a few lines from his copy of the "Constitution". He begins.."We hold these truths to be self evident....." and ends up with "Life ,liberty and the pursuit of happiness".Hey..DUMBASS..that's from the Declaration of Independance...not the Constitution !

And the right wingnuts want to whine about Fort Hood ??? Are you kidding me ???

You seem to forget. Criticism of the Bush administration was not allowed. Can you say "Dixie Chicks" ? Bill Maher ? How about Ari Fleischer saying "You better watch what you say , mister" ?

TwinFlame Vs Soulmates
Posted: 11/7/2009 10:12:26 AM

How can someone be a “twin” yet the exact opposite?

They're not. Twin Soul/Twin Flame is the other side of the soul. Souls were created without sexual assignments. They were both male and female at creation. One soul without sexual identity. It was only when these souls came to earth and took human form that the sexual identities came about. If you're male, then your twin soul(the other half of your soul)would be female, and, visa versa.

I think maybe you need to read the whole paragraph there Rush. Post #86. Read it again. Basically what the post said was put the money into the hands of the poor because they will spend it.

The best way to give the economy a swift kick would be not to lay the cash into the hands of the rich, as we have been doing with these bailouts; but instead, hand the dough over to the poor. The poor will spend it on all those things those manufacturing entities manufacture

The cash for clunkers program seems to prove that point.

What you fail to realize is that even if we weren't in Iraq and Afghanistan, we would still be spending money on the military, so the numbers that all of the cnj's put up as to how much it costs aren't really accurate.

The dollar figures are quite accurate thank you. If the troops that are in Iraq and Afghanistan were here...we wouldn't be paying Haliburton $100 to wash a duffle bag full of laundry. In bacteria laden water i would like to add. We also would not have paid KBR(subsidiary of Haliburton) to do such fine electrical work over there. Heck, they've only electrocuted ..um..HOW MANY of our soldiers ?

It seems the price on life has gone up. In Vietnam the price of a life was $120 for a child.
The price for a cow or bull or other working farm animal was much more. The price paid to Michelin for damaging one of their rubber trees was $600.

Government control of private business.....

The Constiution also clearly states that the Government shall not have the right to remove or deprive property of over $20 without a jury trial. I will allow for the Rate of Inflation between now and 1789. This means that the Government is breaking the Constitution in two places.

And yet government does it all the time. They call it eminent domain.

I've heard nothing from the media and others for 8 years.

That's YOUR quote !

CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC talked about he abuses. NPR did too. I heard all the cries in the media, when the Patriot Act was passed, and continued since.

That's YOUR quote !
Which is it ? Did you or did you not hear anything from the media ???

I can read and think.

That's your quote too. I think you're lying. Read below.

Executive Compensation

All types of funding get same treatment. For any new receipt of TARP funds (except those by small financial institutions as defined below), applies the most stringent non-tax executive compensation restrictions (see note) from EESA across the board:

1) requires Treasury to prohibit incentives that encourage excessive risks,

2) provides for claw-back of compensation received based on materially inaccurate statements

3)prohibits all golden parachute payment for the duration of the investment

Stricter auto bill rules apply. Also applies the executive compensation requirements included in auto bill to any new receipt of TARP funds:

1) prohibits paying or accruing any bonus or incentive compensation to the 25 most highly compensated employees;

2) prohibits any compensation plan that would encourage manipulation of earnings to enhance compensation; and

3). requires divestment of private aircraft or leases.

Authority retroactive. Provides authority to Treasury to apply these expanded executive compensation provisions retroactively to existing recipients of direct assistance.

Removes de minimus exception. Prospectively removes de minimus exception under which institutions smaller than $300 million in assets are not subject to the golden parachute limitations in auction purchases of troubled assets.

Credit Cards: we reserve the right to change terms and conditions at our discretion is no more.

Wrong. It is still very much in effect.
I assume you have read ALL of the TARP agreement ?

've heard nothing from the media and others for 8 years.

No, FOX said nothing (and still says nothing) about W's abuses. Others did. Remember the Dixie Chicks episode ? That wasn't media, that was just regular folks speaking out...look what happened to them.
Refer back a page or two and read the quotes from the constitution about what gubmint can and cannot do.

Basics of the Bill

Limiting CEO Compensation

The bill allows the Treasury to establish rules limiting executive compensation, bonuses, "golden parachutes" and other incentives at institutions participating in TARP.

Participating institutions will also lose certain tax benefits related to compensation.

As far a prejudice, that doesn't pass.

It certainly does pass. Nobody made a peep when the previous administration wadded up the constitution and used it for toilet paper.

These bailouts were supposed to be loans, more or less. Stock was simply a crappy form of collateral. Well, read your credit card agreement. It will say "we reserve the right to change terms and conditions at our discretion". Guess what ......Barack just changed the terms and conditions of the bailout loans. So either pay up or shut up.

Nascar what else?

Johnson was running 2nd and Hamlin was pulling away....they threw a yellow flag of course.
Why ? "Debris" on the track. They debris was......tire rubber. Not a big chunck of tire, just rubber. It's not racing anymore....it's owned and operated by Hendrick. Johnsons' car is NEVER good on a long run...never. So it follows that there must be plenty of yellow flags toward the end of the race so that Johnson can pull up to the leader. Even Hamlin said as much over the radio today.Hamlins' quote" They have to give him another chance".

Such as making it no-less than 20 years for a cop who lies..
Or how about a death sentence for any politician who does anything against the people they work for..

I vote YES !! The "lawmakers" seem to like the "discouragement" factor when voting FOR the death penalty. Maybe the same law applied to them would "discourage" current and future elected officials from lying, cheating and other such criminal behavior that negatively
effects their constituents.

Your incredulity indicates that you would advocate for school policy to allow some knives. That seem unnecessary and unwise.

Please read the post....every word....that i was responding to. The post i responded to mentioned "anything that could be used as a weapon". Just how far does it go ?? How about the plumbing fixtures? The PVC could be used as a weapon as well . What about in the gym ? Potential weapons are abundant there, weight bars, dumbells, free weights, rope. Let's not forget wood shop, auto shop...get the picture ? Ridiculous you say ? No more than declaring a little 2 inch folding blade that is locked in a car to be a weapon. One last thing...ban weapons..ok...let's do do that........that includes cops and security staff. Remember...Zero tolerance.
