Would you date someone who is dying?

"Love is an ever fixed mark." If you really love someone how can the answer be no? Everyone goes through circumstances that are unpleasant for the people around them. Isn't that time when we need someone to love us the most? JMO.

Insecurities...

I have to agree with martini shark. And you are working towards overcoming your insecurities. I applaud that. We are all working toward becoming who we were meant to be. If you had reached the point where you felt you had nothing left to achieve in that area I would challenge that.

Arguing with a loved one
Posted: 3/12/2009 5:13:35 PM
When you are in the midst of an argument and they tell you, "It doesn't matter." That's enough to make me rankled as I am never sure if they are referring to my feelings or the subject matter we disagree about.

You'll have to pardon me...

When I saw this question posted, all I could do was think about my younger brothers. I also thought about what I might tell my children. I think if you truly care about someone you will respect them. I would tell anyone I loved they were worth waiting for. If you can't say that is the person you want to spend your life with, how deep is your commitment?

Dating while disabled
Posted: 2/25/2009 8:01:37 AM
Corey,
I am in a similar situation, so thanks for the topic. I agree that it may sound like a good idea to focus your dating on others with disabilities because you have something in common. That being said, if this is the only factor you do have in common you are headed for disaster. Another point I would like to make is that everybody has disabilities to one degree or another. Ours are simply a bit easier to ascertain.
