Bikers Thread- A place for biker's and their thoughts
Posted: 7/11/2006 5:01:38 PM
@ fxst ..... you are employed..... are you kidding me??? Well I think we should all (men and women - bikers) just quit our jobs (there goes the bike upgrades my commission cheques pay for), stop showering (there goes the potential partner) and talk like a complete uneducated idiot (there goes any potential for future employment) and just be "real" bikers - like the judgmental, uneducated idiots who probably need to get off of the computer and shower - think we all are.

Man oh man I always seem to forget that we share our world with these people.

Oh yeah and "hello" right back at you!!!

To all of those who actually work, shower, speak with more than one syllable and ride. "What is wrong with you people it's time to step up and become "real" bikers"....*ok so that is sarcasm for the rest of you.

What makes a man sexy!
Posted: 6/17/2006 9:05:14 PM
I have to say what I find to be sexy is:

- confidence (enough to almost make me blush - and that is a chore trust me)
- strength
- attitude
- a nice ass
- care-giver ability (to offset mine)
- dominant

Why do people get fat after marriage?

@Mesna - Wet noodles huh??? No problem I am at the single stage (hence barbie doll build....btw thanks for that...lol). No wet noodles after noon.

Diet involves no wet noodles (or ANY carbs) after noon. Too much working out and not enough working it off. I would much rather have a "Mummy tummy" and be happily eating a pizza right now.........*ahh pizza I am saving it for that special someone...lmao.

"I don't like the bad boys. I can't stand a guy that feels the need to impress everyone and pretend he knows everything when he doesn't know his you know what from a hole in the ground! It's annoying and overrated." ------ that is a bit of a generalization.....don't you think???

I have spent time with some "bad boys" in my life and you know what it is for me???

I live my life as a very strong independant woman. I have been on my own since I was VERY young (14 yrs old). Had a baby VERY young (15 years old) and have been self-sufficient ever since. When I was younger I liked the "bad boy" because he was**** (I was pretty spunky and energetic ....lets call it that) and when I tried to put him in his place he would actually fight back.......the "good boys" walked away.

Now that I am older. I am still attracted to the "bad boy" because this woman wants (in the deep windows of her soul) to know that I will be cared for by a man who is stronger than me........ for me - its as simple as that.

OK I have to in all good conscience say this although I probably should just keep it to myself. "If you play with fire - you will get burned"....??????? They were burned by people they considered to be "family" - they were burned by their very own "brothers" - they were burned by poeple they both "loved and respected"........... If the information that we are getting from the media and police force are true which I have to admit I doubt a great deal of it. What was the fire that burned them????

I could understand if they were doing something and got caught "play with fire - get burned" but that doesn't "seem" to be the case here.......please explain - if you can - cause I don't get what you meant by that.

Ok I'm gonna answer this one. When with a partner that you enjoy being with you are happy to stay at home, watch a movie and eat pizza.......maybe even talk. When you are single you are happy to go to the club, dance, got to the gym and work. Different priorities - different lifestyles - different activity levels.

Simple really!!! I think the key is to find a partner, eat pizza, rock the bed all night to work off the pizza and get up in the morning and go to the gym........*** hmmmm ahhhhh daydreaming

Role Playing/Dress Up Sex
Posted: 6/1/2006 6:58:26 PM
@ Half - Whats up with us Canadian women not being able to message you? We are awfully adventurous....lol(kidding) actually I was trying to message you about something else and tracked you down here - yeah yeah ok soooo lets all just say it is kind of a stalking situation...lol.

As for the role playing thing - it depends on the persons confidence in what he is doing. I never say never - but - never could see myslef into some of the weirdness that I have heard about like the furry thing........rofl. Just picturing some of the big burly dudes that I have spent time with dressed up in furry bunny costumes and stuff cracks me up....lol. To each their own I guess - but that is definitely not for me. However, putting on a kilt and knee socks not only seems to work for the other side but makes me feel awfully *frisky* if the moment, person and situation are just right......okie dokie cold shower brb.

I didn't hear anything about any relationship he has with your daughter already. If they have a relationship that may hurt her if it is completely severed maybe you could consider .....supervised visitation until he has reached the goals set out for him. This will maintain a relationship between them, keep your daughter out of harms way and even help him to see what he is striving for. I understand his recovery is not your problem but your daughter is and any child is better off with two healthy parents - so his successful recovery is beneficial to your daughter and if you can do anything to help it along I think that is in your daughters best interests. The problem as I see it is if you take him away completely for over a year and then tell him he can come back and meet his daughter after she has gone without him for a year - that could be a big struggle on both of them.

Good luck it is a tough situation but the fact that you are trying to do what is best for all is definitely putting everyone ten steps ahead of many others. Good job Mom!

You are a real biker if:

Four years without a single break,
A hard outside I had to fake,
I needed someones gentle touch,
For that "I thank you very much",

I tried your patience - more than not,
We laughed we smiled we learned a lot,
I shared with you some toughest hours,
Your gift to me - undying flowers,

We shared with each other cherished likes,
One common love - our love of bikes,
The wind in my hair - the sun on your face,
This was our common peaceful place,

Now your gone and I'm left here
Surrounded by this sleepless fear:

Will people just see your single flaw,
Believe your just a bad outlaw,
Teach their kids to run and hide,
Having never seen inside,

The truth is often never told,
A monster story is better sold,
Say what they want - do what they do,
They never knew the gentle you,

I must let go- must say goodbye,
Give you up not knowing why,
Many things we never said,
But memories are never dead.

Ride my baby with all of the beautiful angels that you can sweep off of their feet - then you will never be alone!!!!!

Hmmmm well you asked for it.

I have an issue with people putting pics of their kids on their profile. Say you have kids, tell their ages but don't exploit them. I think it should be against the rules to have anyone under 18 showing their pic on this website or any other. Why do you fell the need to show pics of them??? Don't say because they are a part of your life because their are many parts of your life that you will not put up pics of???

Personally it is a turn-off. I have kids. My oldest is over 19 years old and has his own profile so I don't think it is wrong to show his pic but my youngest....not going to happen.

Just my 2 cents.

Hey doll I wish I didn't look like a girl when riding trust me I would prefer not too - I ride like a guy hmmm hey do I ride like a guy??? Maybe I sit a little more forward on the seat than most guys do hehehe;) I know what you mean about sensible clothing - when I had my accident I decided I wanted to just get home from work (I was tired) and I wore my dress pants home - left my leather pants sitting on my chair at work. Took a health nurse at my home an hour every day for 7 weeks to pick the dress pants from inside my skin.....OUCH!!! Thank god for numbing cream....A lesson I have learned but certainly not easily. Thanks for at least understanding or trying to understand my points. Keep the rubber down and enjoy the ride - I know you will - every last minute of it is to be enjoyed.

@ Mish

At the risk of sounding argumentative again today...lol. I certainly don't go out of my way to look different than a man - I just do .... even in jeans, leather jacket and half helmet (I can't wear the full face). What else would be considered "sensible" clothing?

I still don't look a guy. I agree that if I was riding around in a bikini top and shorts - I would be screaming for the attention that I am complaining about being so dangerous - for those women who do ride like that - they are asking for trouble. I however am not one of them but still do find it to be more of a novelty for people to see a woman riding than a guy and it automatically attracts more attention.

Just my experience and my two cents.

@ John

I hate to disagree - well not really - a good debate never hurt anyone.
I ride to feel the freedom YES, the wind in my hair YES, the danger and excitement YES - the war stories to tell my friends HELL NO!!
I have had my wipe out and would rather not have had the story to tell. I have to also disagree about the equal risk between men and women on bikes....when you ride by..... people look .....the novelty of a bike and/or biker makes them want to take a look. When a woman rides by in most cases is it first the novelty of a bike and/or biker and then when they see that it is a woman it is an even bigger novelty which makes it even more dangerous.

And maybe I missed something but what does the point that I was making have to do with how often I ride or where and when I ride or how many bugs I have in my teeth .......... is trailering your bike to ride in a different city/state/country/town really such a big sore spot for some people??? I don't get it.

Isn't the entire "biker" lifestyle all about the ability to feel satisfied in what you enjoy regardless of societies labels while still maintaining a reasonable amount of morals and ethics for what you believe to be important - why would "bikers" want to start shoving judgemental crap down each others throat about how often you ride, whether you ride with a full or half helmet (or any helmet at all), it absolutely defeats my impression of what the "biker" lifestyle is suppose to be...........for everyone who enjoys the ride keep the rubber on the road.

Ok gotta get my two cents (sense is probably more like it) in here.

The thing that bothers me is people who stare "OMG its a woman on a bike" as they slowly creep into your lane smiling, waving and hoping that you will be soooo impressed by their ignorance that you will wave them over to undress before them and submit to them like no other.

Ok ok so maybe that was taking it a little too far - a little exaggerated....lol...... however I do think it is more dangerous for us women to ride - again - because of the ignorant people in the cars and trucks around us.

And for those who are wondering or will message me to ask I DO NOT ride around in that bikini top (*whispers well not often)..... I do have leathers and boots.....lol.

Just so you know ladies - one of the women in the wet t-shirt contest with me was in her 50's .........something she always wished she had the confidence to do and I guess she found the confidence and did it. She did not place too far down on the list when it came to what place people came in either......so if it is something you have ever wished you could do - just do it!!!! No harm in it - life is to be enjoyed. The lady who won was over 40 and a heavy set girl with enough confidence to fill the room - guys don't always go for the young, skinny girls (especially bikers)

@purrfect.........I hope you are not considering me one of those "show all" women - I am far from that and that pic is mild compared to many that I have seen on here - it definitely doesn't show all.........btw I think you would fare pretty well in a wet t-shirt contest

why should it matter if a woman has children or not
Posted: 5/9/2006 5:26:29 PM
Not everyone was meant to be a parent and raise children thankfully some people recognize this and.......stay away from single parents. I would rather someone acknowledge it than help screw up the next generation like some people I have seen who try to raise kids even though they have no interest in doing it right............................ they just go along for the ride.

You were fortunate - the man who entered your life obviously was meant to do what he did.....sounds like he enjoyed it and was good at it. Not every child will be that fortunate. I would sooner a guy say he doesn't have any interest in a woman with kids - than go into the situation with no interest and do a terrible job because he doesn't want any part of it to begin with but felt "a real man" should be willing to "step up to the plate". I would rather see a world of single Moms than a world full of "step-children" who feel unimportant and/or unloved by an important person in their life.

I am at her beck and call.
Posted: 5/6/2006 4:09:19 PM
BTW letting her know that you have a life and that you "won't drop everything and run for her" does not sound bi*chy it sounds realistic and let her know this is also in her best interests.

I do have to say it sounds like you are getting something out of this too. Sometimes people feel better when someone needs them - they feel like they have a purpose (empty nest syndrome is the perfect example of this). Sounds to me like you enjoy the fact that she thinks she NEEDS you. Just so that you know she doesn't NEED you she will continue to survive whether or not you run for her and probably survive more happily without feeling she NEEDS others to get through her day.

And.....you said you don't want to "ruin a friendship by getting mad" - in my opinion if that is all that it takes to ruin your friendship with her than you were never really friends to start with - you were just a simple crutch for her to lean on when she decided she didn't want to stand up herself.

Just another 2 cents

My suggestion is.......

-let her know that a good friend who wanted the best for YOU wouldn't ask you to skip an exam to babysit for her - they would offer to babysit for you so that you could study

-turn your phone off at night - I have had to do this myself for a bit when I had a friend who would call me in the middle of the night - after 3 or 4 calls that I didn't answer he stopped doing it and I could keep my phone on

-don't tell her you will not drop everything and run for her - because you are too busy - tell her you will not drop everything and run for her because that isn't what friends should be expected to do whether they are busy or not - you have a right to continue to live your life as opposed to just being a crutch in the background waiting for her to decide to start once again living her life

She has become dependant on you and expects you to be a surrogate husband for her. The longer you continue to do this the more she is dragging out her healing process. You aren't helping her learn to deal with the new direction of her life. Tell her in being a good friend you have decided you need to stop allowing her to do this.

Just my 2 cents

Well I have heard (and stated again above) poprocks and I have also heard Halls while giving oral are amazing to a man while most of g/f (yes us girls do talk about this stuff - probably wayyyy tooo much) say they like beer.........have tried the beer thing maybe its the carbonation or something but it does give a different sensation that I haven't felt before.

Has anyone tried the Halls or poprocks thing??? Does it work???

I have one that says on the back "remember my name you'll be screaming it later"

Saw a guy wearing one in Daytona that said " I love Tuna Tacos" I nearly spit my drink all over myself.

Saw one in a store that said "AZZ - is just the other v a g i n a "
