Yeah,cuddling at night is nice,but it can lead to a lot of lost sleep if you each prefer different sleeping temps. My girlfriend and I are like that. Our bedroom is usually about 70;she sleeps in a nightshirt and pajama pants under a feather quilt,and I sleep under a flannel blanket in my shorts. I quite often have my arm around her as she cuddles with her head on my shoulder,but we're still under our separate blankets.

Years ago a friend of mine was on long-term disability after an accident. One weekend as a part of our muzzleloading club we had a display at a Sportsman's Show,and it included a tomahawk throw. The picture was printed in the local newspaper,and an investigator for the insurance company saw it. He only got them re-instated when we all signed affidavits saying he wasn't throwing anything,but just posing. Mostly comes with time and experience,so expect a few failures. Whip the pancake batter until it's smooth and the lumps are out,then stop. Beat the brownie batter for a few minutes more. If they don't turn out as fluffy as you want them,beat it longer next time.

You tell a joke that was old when you were young and nobody's ever heard it. I've had younger people ask me who Lorne Greene was,and they don't know that William Shatner was on Star Trek. The most glaring was this past fall. I was working on a highway paving crew,and we were staying in a camp. The last couple of weeks the company decided to move us into a hotel. The boss tells us that some of the rooms have 2 double beds and some have a double bed and a hide-a-bed,and if there's any cases where a younger guy and an older guy are sharing one of those the older guy was to get the bed. Then he named off some of the "older" guys,and he included me!

Oregano is one of my favorite herbs;I use it in almost everything. The trick is to know how much in what,and that comes with experience. You can go a long way with just salt and pepper,seasoning salt,garlic,oregano,dill,parsley,chili powder,and curry or cumin. I've got racks of spices and herbs,but those are the ones I use most often.

Try waterless hand cleaner. Rub in a good dollop and let it set for a while,then wash the clothes again. I'm not sure about ink,but it sure works for spray paint.

I drink a lot of coffee,about 12 cups a day when I'm working,but when I'm not working it's about 2 a day or less. I've never suffered any withdrawal symptoms at all when I stopped drinking as much. I do replace the fluid intake with other things though,so you might try drinking more liquids of other type. Dehydration could play a part of what you're experiencing,as you may be getting less liquid with drinking less coffee.

A lot of it depends on your dog and where you live. As seen a couple of years ago,a member's dog ate part of a rattan mat and needed surgery. Pretty pricey. If you're in the city your dog might get out and get hit by a car. Again,the surgery could be expensive. Personally I wouldn't bother. It may sound hard hearted,but I'm not so attached to my dog that I'm going to spend hundreds of dollars to get her fixed up after being in an accident. I have a cheaper solution.

What a lot of people don't realize is that coyotes are not native to eastern Canada. They've moved in from the west in past decades. How can we be encroaching on their natural habitats? Attacks by coyotes on adults are extremely rare,and that's what I find disturbing in this case. Here in Manitoba there's a large coyote population,but attacks are unheard of. I think we should be able to carry protection of some type. I've been carrying a rifle or shotgun for years,although I'm more concerned about a rabid skunk than a coyote. I tend to walk or hike in more secluded places though. Even a good knife will afford some protection.

In most cases the books are better and often very different from the movie because it's often hard to turn a 500 page book into a less than 2 hour movie. One of the best attempts was Stephen king's "The Stand". A 4 part mini-series was made from the book,and it was nearly exact. One of the best attempts at a Dean Koontz book was the movie "Whispers". It was almost exactly as the book was written. "Intensity" was great too,but the the attempts at "Watchers" truly sucked.

Well,we are a throw-away society. Things are being replaced at a faster rate and what do we do with the old items when they break down or are repalced with new technology? Throw them away,of course. It's like cell phones. I've often heard complaints about cell phones ending up in landfills. This spring I went to my local provider to get one of my old cell phones activated on a pay-as-you-go plan. I was told that would cost $35 and I'd still have to buy time,while a brand new phone was $40 with a $30 airtime credit. Does anyone else see why there may be a problem?

Can we really equate violence with the everyday people we meet,though? I agree the violence has gotten out of hand,but I don't believe it has anything to do with the people you may meet elsewhere. On the other hand,I've seen a couple of situations that make me wonder about "Friendly Manitoba". One was when my sister-in-law swerved to avoid a deer on a rural road in our area and ended up rolling her car into a water filled ditch. As she's walking home barefoot and soaking wet,she says that at least 4 vehicles passed her without stopping to see if she needed help. And here I thought Woodlands was a close-knit rural community. The other was when my 8 months pregnant girlfriend had a flat tire on highway 68 in Eddystone. As she was trying to change the tire people were slowing down,flipping her the bird and driving off. No one stopped to help her. She was finally able to get me on the phone(I was working on a job 10 miles down the road)and I headed over to give her a hand. Maybe it's just me,but I've often been late for an engagement of some type because I stopped to help someone.

Is there a stove available? You can make coffee in a large stock-pot. Just know the amount of water in the pot,bring it to a boil,then reduce the heat to low and add the appropriate amount of coffee. Use a ladle to serve it into cups. You might get a few grounds,but they usually settle to the bottom. Just don't stir them up.

I make what I call "Lazy Shepherd's Pie". Fry up a pound of ground beef with onions and mushrooms and anything else you might like, mix it with a box or two of instant mashed potatoes and then add your favorite vegetables. I prefer corn and peas. Serve it with butter. Great for leftovers,makes a nice quick filling meal after a long day.

It really depends. My girlfriend is mildly bi-polar,and when her and I 1st got together she was on meds that were too strong for her. There was some pretty major drama,but the sex was great so I stuck around. Maybe I saw something in her,but the sex made me stay. We're still together. It was a heck of a good game on Saturday. I started listening to it leaving work right at the time the Bombers scored their second TD right at the end of the 2nd quarter. It was a great game to listen to for the ride home. I especially liked Jovon Johnson's punt return touchdown,and Johnson's comment on the news that he ran about 180 yards for a 78 yard return. Westwood did a pretty good job at punting,considering the rust. In Saturday's paper it was said that Kelly expected him to have a 40 yd average,and his average was actually just over 38 yards. I had to laugh at an interview with Westwood on CJOB where he said that Kelly text messaged him to see if he wanted to play,and he texted a "colorful" reply back because he thought Kelly was just joking with him.

About the worst thing you can do while on a budget is shop without a list. Everytime I go to "just get what I need" I always spend about twice as much as planned. Not bad if you have the money,but if you're on a tight budget,make a list.
