Eventually something'll happen, nature doesn't like overpopulation, it'll correct itself. That's exactly correct ... as Malthus hypothesized, populations are self-regulating ... but the mechanisms can be unpleasant ... war, famine, disease, etc. We have free will .. why not spare out progeny that unpleasantness by taking proactive measures to limit population growth now?

It's a generational thing, I think ... I'm not interested in getting any, but I can understand why younger people are ... not much different from the reasons I wore long hair (which was a new thing) in my formative years. I suspect the current tattoo fad began as a rebellious, non-conformist act, but at some point non-conformity yields to conformity when everybody does it. Like the old '60s song said, "what's the difference being different when it's difference now that looks alike?".
