What if he doesn't like cats? Would you give up your cat?

Let's put it this way, what if I wrote in my profile "My cats are the most important things in my life"? How would you react to that? They are important to me, for many reasons, and I would not get rid of them for any man, and one that would want me to is WAY NOT the man for me. Just as I would not require a man I was interested in give up his children, just please not bring them along on a first date.

The bigger red flag for me is those deluded people who have to state that an imaginary being is the most important thing in their life.

This is one of those red flags for me. I agree that the obligations you have to your children come first, a reasonable person understands this. Making this statement says to me "You will never be #1 in my life." This is not a relationship I want. Am I selfish? Or do I just know what I need? If your children are so important to you, that you must state this, then you really don't have time for a relationship. Wait until you feel your children don't need you 24/7 and THEN look for a partner.

Does God exist?

God exists only in your mind, just like unicorns.

Relationships and the Recession ...

My guess it is stress. Times are difficult, tempers are short, it's hard to be forgiving and understanding.

Is it better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved?

I've been through this, and wonder at the purpose. To love and lose is a terrible pain, but I don't think I would vote for never meeting that special person.

Friday DECEMBER 5th / Aurora IL / Let's Rock the House @ Paytons Roundhouse for a pre-Xmas party

I have been told that for my sanity's sake I should attend this party. I've never been to a POF party, and I will be coming alone, so for sure I will be plenty nervous!
