April is a no goer for me. I have a tourney of my own i am hosting 14th April and our local perch derby here in dover starts just after that. Then there is another derby starts orrilia i found out end of April to i beleive 2nd week of may which i will more likley be at then i will have a bass tourny coming up in june i am entering. Spring, summer, fall busy busy busy....fishing

An just a freindly word.....Please do not post on here about hotspots when it comes to fishing,. The Internet has made the world such a smaller place. Trust me you post something like there are littlerally hundreds of perch do this run at a certain time of the month, year you are also going to end up with hundreds of people down there also fishing. And 10 yrs down the road from now guess what? You wont have that same run.

Alot of our waters & fisheries are allready under immence preasure WE HAVE SO MUCH BEAUTY RIGHT ON OUR VERY OWN DOORTSTEPS its our job to protect them.

You're right, it is poaching. I no longer want to do that type of fishing. Much rather only use a rod and reel.

Its certainly is kingfisher and i would hope not.

I fish mostly catch N release. Unless i happen to be fishing for yellow perch.

Why do guys cheat on their fiancees?
Posted: 1/28/2007 7:00:16 PM
EGG
But this guy really seems to love his fiancee and I just wonder how he can love someone and still sleep with another woman.

Well its seems obvious he does not love her otherwise he would not be in someone elses bed.

Unless of course they had an open relationship and it was agreed between the two to do so. But from your post i am guessing that is not the case.

People do tickle trout. Allow me to explain. According to artist Charlie Murphy, "trout tickling [is] an apparently sensuous and extraordinary technique for catching fish which involves a hypnotic predation by seducation [sic]."

The practice goes back hundreds, if not thousands of years, and is probably the simplest method of catching fish. Well, simple in terms of tackle, at any rate. This would be a distinct advantage to one particular class of people, namely, poachers, for it meant they could stroll nonchalantly down a riverbank, unfettered by rods, lines or nets. The Lincolnshire Poacher would not want to be caught near the manor's river emburdened with nets and lines, the local constable would pick him out in a second.

Tickling trout (it doesn't have to be trout, requires no more equipment than most of us are equipped with, and a little perseverance. The method is simple. Find a river where the fish are plentiful, locate a point where they are likely to be feeding. Lie down quietly on the bank, with your arm in the water, and according to some, slowly move your fingers. At this point remember that your hand and arm will go numb, unless the water is warm.

Now for the patience bit. You wait, and you watch. And you watch and wait, and sooner or later, a fish will swim close by. Now the game begins. You slowly, slowly move toward it, because unless you are lucky indeed, you are unlikely to find it in the palm of your hand. The trick is to get to the point where you can stroke the fish's belly, tickle it if you will. Once you have it in this position, a quick scoop and you land your fish. Observe the hunting bears - they use just this trick to catch fish, flipping them out with practiced ease, and the hunters and poachers of generations ago learned that patience is the key.

And in fact, it's not just trout. Other fish were considered fair game,
Ah, I hear you say, you'd need a great deal of luck! Well maybe so, and maybe not. As Arnold Palmer (or was it Gary Player?) once said "It's a funny thing, the more I practice the luckier I get". Now go, and practice, and all the best.

Avoid:

Cosmotologist (hairdresser, nail-tech, etc). -- Don't know why, but I tend to have a lower opinion of those professions. I know its stupid, but for some reason I feel like they are more concerned with appearances.

OMG I just spat out my tea, reading that statement....That was my proffession for 14 yrs..........I am very smart, witty and like to have fun. Am i HM? Hell no i am not.....I am a outdoor kinda gal.

Shame u feel that way onthebus......& then so many people wonder why they are single.
