Guy I met online keeps asking for money
Posted: 6/8/2006 9:48:06 PM
The first clue that this is a scam is NIGERIA!!! I got a 36 yrd old in Nigeria whose "originally from Fort Worth, TX and his parents died while on a trip to Nigeria and he stayed with his grandparents on their coffee plantation!!" Check out his picture and he sure is a hot caucasion dude!!! Looks like it's from a mag or something!!! They think we are so stupid that they even have a rap song written about us "stupid Americans" that they keep taking for money!!! Don't call him or anything - he will have a fake telephone # that you will think is a US number but is actually international. Cost my friend $2,500 for a phone bill she didn't know she was racking up!! He tried the whole routine of flowers, sweet talk, etc. Fortunately I got to her before he did any more damage!!! Report this jerk to the website and BLOCK HIM!!! If you think it's too good to be true, it probably is!!!!

what is with the never call again crap and why do we put up with it?

This happens to a lot of us -- all ages and looks. Happend 3 times in a row for me. They are the ones that initiate the exchange, they go out with me, they ask me out again before the night is over, and then "poof" - gone in a flash! And we are NOT talking about the perfect guy either!!! But I did find out that the first one was totally lying about his entire life so he ran before he got busted! It would be nice if men would "grow a set" and let you know that they are not into you so you can move on. We've all been disappointed or we wouldn't be here. We just need to keep our dignity in the process.

Wow! I am going through this same situation right now. Nice guy, eager to go out, had a nice time and BAM! he has called me and emailed me non-stop since last Friday! I even told him that I didn't want to go out with him again because he scares me and he has since emailed me and called me crying to tell me how sorry he is! Now he is in a rage! Three email attempts in the time it took me to dash this reply off! I can only block him like everyone else is saying to do, but I didn't think things like this happened to girls like me! Yikes!
