Guys sending creepy or perverted messages

I expect the type of creeps and pervs that might otherwise message you, wouldn't really spend much time reading your profile.

Just a thought

Profiles
Posted: 7/31/2012 3:30:36 AM
Do what ever you feel best in your profile - the key is it is your profile! Some might advise you to follow various templates; the equivalent of painting all your walls magnolia in aid to appeal to the largest possible number of people. It's not like selling a house or flat though, where others intend to come in and re-paint to their own taste. Better to appeal to the type of people you want to appeal to. Be yourself!

would you date a person who dd not get Shakespeare?
Posted: 7/4/2012 3:24:03 AM
I value the opinion of others, but not when they are talking out their rear!

Denigrating others opinions because they don't happen to match yours' does little for your argument. Picking similes with situations today, and Elizabethans times is as easy as it were with that of Homers! Sometimes it is better to look at alternatives than follow the flock of wannabe illuminati.

Ever think someone is out of your league and not messaged them?
Posted: 7/4/2012 3:15:31 AM
I think this whole league business is based on self insecurities. Perhaps here more so than face to face one gets judged on looks so much more certainly initially there is a bigger element of self blindness. What is realistic is that you find some one you like and get on with rather than have many ill conceived expectations.

would you date a person who did not get Shakespeare?
Posted: 7/2/2012 3:02:42 AM
Reading or watching Shakespeare is, by turns, baffling, tiring, frustrating and downright unpleasant. It is out of date, out of touch, and we read him, I'm convinced, out of habit. It's literal acclaim is both pretentious and precocious! I would be less inclined to date anyone who had "got" Shakespeare!

Looking for a normal guy?? No Players?? Advice please.....
Posted: 5/24/2012 9:10:35 AM
It wasn't me! It was my identical twin brother, separated at birth and cryogenically frozen! I always gets the blame for his naughtiness! I is INNOCENT! (angel thingy)

No seriously though isn't Normal a tad boring and over-rated and so .... yesterday? Doesn't a little quirkiness make you look up and smile? Of course there obsessional or compulsive eccentricities that are a little on the extreme side. What is normal after all? There are as many different interpretation of "normal" as there are "players" if not more!

As a Bloke, if you are contacting women that have kids under 18, you expect that come as a package, and you respect that and the implications that come with it. Even so, if you saw that written in a profile it would put you off a little unless all you were after is a shag! No worries about the meeting the X. You put yourself in the same situation of your X dating a guy and him being in contact with your kids. If they get a bit handy with their anger management etc and your X is a bit of a wimp - you might have to lay the law down.

Champions league final or date?
Posted: 5/17/2012 3:29:06 PM
If Chelsea win the final they would qualify for next year; they wouldn't have to pre-qualify and go straight into the round robin rounds though Spurs would need to do the pre-qualifying round as they only finished 4th behind arsenal?

Champions league final or date?
Posted: 5/14/2012 3:46:42 PM
22 May 2008.
Had a date with good looking Geordie Lass at this new posh Thai restaurant. Well happy with myself for pulling this young cracking girl. Half way through the meal it's dawning on me that this is the night: Man united versus Chelsea Champions league Final in Moscow! Almost choking on my Pad Thai noodles. Geordie Lass asks me whats wrong? I splutter something about football being on; and she goes white in the face too. We both make a hastey exit to the near pub showing the footie! Quite a rough pub, and help break up some fistie cuffs on account of them nearly spilling my beer and nearly knocking over Geordie Girl (chivalrous to the last). Chelsea lose on penalties and the rest is history .... as was our brief romance. Such is life!

OP In essence you kept him as a gift of love else you would have had an agreement for him to pay back the equivalent as if it was a loan and you would kept receipts and a proper book to pay it back against.

Keep doing the lottery, and it might be you instead when you can give him a fiver and thereby claim the moral high ground!

Hosepipe Ban - necessary evil?
Posted: 4/5/2012 2:23:06 PM

we maybe surrounded by water , but have you tried drinking sea water, to convert sea water to potable water requires energy and expensive plants, also it is not the practice within the 12 mile zone unless it is for use in boilers, as certain parts of the coast treated sewage is disposed of

The Duke of Edinburgh has opened what is thought to be the first water desalination plant on the UK mainland.

The facility in Beckton, east London, is part of Thames Water's plan to tackle water shortages in the capital.

It said the £270m centre would deliver up to 140 million litres of water to 400,000 homes in a drought.

The plant will be run by using renewable biofuels such as cooking oil and waste fat in an effort to reduce its impact on the environment.

Drinking water will be produced by treating a mixture of sea and river water from the River Thames.

Thames Water said it built the facility to avoid a repeat of water shortages

the hose pipe ban will save about 6% of water - thames water currently loses more than 27% of water through leaks and yet they still make outrageous profits and prices keep going up? go figure!

In every day life I use terms of endearment like Sweetie, Gorgeous, Darling etc as words of endearment! If anyone gets uptight about it with regard to their feminist or self-righteous principles .. tough deal with it! More so, why I am communicating with such small minded people whose heads are so stuck their own posteriors I will never know! Next!

Younger Women, do you like older Men
Posted: 4/4/2012 3:27:19 AM

Why the need to insult? And "cradle rocking antics?" So if women do it, then it's cradle rocking, if men do it, it's just natural? Why can we not just let people do what they want, regardless of gender/age?

Whom are we judged by but our peers?

Most men would comment upon another man with a young lady in tow as perhaps a lucky bas*ard. Ladies perhaps view their fellow felines in similar positions less favourably!

Guns in private hands ?
Posted: 4/3/2012 7:13:57 AM
Some Gun Fun! (not to be taken too seriously though a tad Americano)!

1. Know guns, know peace, know safety. No guns, no peace, no safety.
2. A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.
3. Gun control is not about guns, it's about control.
4. If guns cause crime, then pencils cause misspelled words.
5. If you don't know your rights you don't have any.
6. 64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.
7. Guns only have two enemies: rust and politicians.
8. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
9. You don't shoot to kill, you shoot to stay alive.
10. Assault is a behaviour, not a device.
11. Criminals love gun control -- it makes their jobs safer.
12. If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson.
13. When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create slaves.
14. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control.
15. Those who trade liberty for security have neither.

The new MP for Bradford West boasted on Twitter about his landslide by-election triumph in BLACKBURN.

should d.n.a be taken for every birth?
Posted: 4/1/2012 5:59:47 AM

should d.n.a be taken for every birth?

Were DNA samples to be taken for every birth, you would need samples for each parent too, to save guard baby switches in hospitals, and paternity tests.

It would prove interesting if and how they would be released to parents, perhaps only in circumstances where they had doubts, or where the Hospital/Authorities deemed it necessary to alert them; those same authorities that might be liable for any mistakes!

Although having an inclusive database of DNA's (wouldn't necessarily include those moving to this country with newborns for example) would be a massive intrusion into our civil liberties; would it not be helpful for screening for the likelihood of possible health problems?

Mostly importantly perhaps is our lack of faith in our authorities to protect our data, and not abuse it!
