Its either this or have sex in an alley somewhere. Men they are either so timid that they just dont know what to say in the beginning , or they are all over you like a cheap suit....which means he doesnt have to talk while he is getting a piece. The movie thing is totally clueless to me. I guess if the girl can sit through a 2 hour movie and not say a word, she MUST be a keeper!

Ifulike, That is sweet and all, but you are the type of woman that they are NOT trying to find! They want a woman that is going to be there for them, that loves them for being them!! I would date a guy in a wheelchair because I have been there myself when I was younger and I might possibly be there again in the future. I have a form of Arthritis that is slowly chipping away at my bones and I have had both of my knees replaced. I know how it is to be in love with someone through email and when they meet you, they wont look you in the eye or return your phone calls. Good luck guys and gals in your search for a real and rich relationship!!!!

I agree with you Eddie, If you have two women in the same house, and they are both hot, why not shag them both? The guy is trying to play you for a fool. Ninja, You never give up do you? You just dont get it...... I dont care if he is the kindest, most gentle man on the planet, he doesnt know what I have been through earlier that day and if I dont want to be asked out, which I know that is what he will be getting at, I want to be relaxing by myself. Now IF he wanst to JUST talk, ok then. That is what the OP was trying to say, also. And, uh, no, many times all of us can't recognize body signals. As for men not being able to recognize the signals...we women are nice, and we will smile and talk to you. Does that mean we are interested? Nope. It has NOTHING to do with being wishy-washy or confident. The OP is TRYING to say that a guy wants to find a way to possibly get to know this woman. But possibly, just possibly she just wants to be alone. He is giving her an alternative that will make it easier on her, in case she is thinking that she may burn him with a rejection, or to possibly promote an angry response, which I have gotten before. Hey tears, What if something happened to you earlier in the day and you just came into a bar for a drink and nothing else...... How could you turn away a really nice guy without hurting his feelings? He doesnt know what has happened to you earlier in the day and you know that some guys just dont know how to read body language. What would you say and do? Just curious P.S. it is easy to say stuff on the thread , but could you REALLY say it to a guy's face?

Ok "Ninja", Let me explain this to you. I am a woman in a relationship now, but I still like to go to a bar now and then"by myself" and have a drink and unwind. I have been approached by many men at bars and there were times that I didnt want to be bothered. There have been several times that I have been approached by "guys like you" that think that as soon as they walk up, the gal is going to be automatically interested and "do whatever you say" type of attitude. When a guy comes up to me with a**** attitude or pushy, (not to say that you are), the wall goes up and I either tell him politely to leave me alone and if he doesnt do it, I signal the bouncer or bartender that I am being harrassed and that I want to be left alone. If a guy came up to me that was nice, without the attitude, and asked me if I wanted some company and I wasnt in the mood, I would politely say," No, not today, but thanks for asking." He gave me a nice way to say that I am not interested. What do you want me to say? "Sorry, but youre ugly and your momma dress you funny...get away from me!!" That is what the OP is trying to get across.

Yes I have and I am very happy!!!! I for one usually dont respond to ads without pics, but for some strange reason I did for this one and we have been together for 6MONTHS!!!!!!! COUNT THEM!!!!!! 6!!!!! It is truly strange that we hit it off because he is an introvert and I am an extrovert, but we also have a lot in common family-wise. I am saying that if you get some weird vibe and you have talked on the phone, even though you havent met, and he seems nice, GIVE IT A TRY!!!!! Yea, It is pretty sad that a lot of women refuse to go to a class of buy a book or anything!!! I'm not trying to be a nerd or anything, but when I was younger, I went out and bought "The Joy of Sex", to learn about sex. Needless to say that I learned a lot, but the book really didnt prepare me for that "first time" with a guy, maybe I was just one of those nerdy college virgins that believed everything she read!!!! At least I didnt give up trying to find out about guys and sex and relationships and I am still learning!!!! V

Approaching, dating, initiating conversations and then dates, why women SHOULD approach guys, increasing one's odds in finding that right guy..... It's $90 for four hours. I will probably go. But I was wondering, would you go if there was one in your area? If not, why?

Chevy, I beg to differ!!! When I weighed a lot more than I do now and now as well, I prefer guys with some meat on their bones!!!! But the guys that I always thought as attractive, football players( linebackers, defensive linemen), they always wanted the "little bitty girls" that were on the cheerleader squad!!!! But when I weighed over 200 the skinny guys would always hit on me. My brother, both of his wives were over 200 lbs.!!!!! Well Daisy, I just turned 39 and I am not married either. Maybe I have been too picky in some cases, but I had been engaged a couple of times, but I woke up in enough time!!! LOL!!! If you just dont think about it, it doesnt bother you much.... Well, I just dont get this phallic size thing at all. I have in the past have seen and dated white guys that were "hung", and I have dated black guys that were "hung like a peanut". It really depends on the genetic background of the family. Just like there are tall guys that dont have anything at all, but there are short guys that their stuff is so big it is almost abnormal? The first meeting was very interesting, he came over to fix my computer, at the same time I was recovering from knee surgery and could not do much. He was really nice and we talked for a while and he left. We still talk, but we both work so much that we cant get together much, so it was nice to meet someone that wasnt strange....and he was HOT too!!!! I had that happen to me and I finally had to tell him off!!! He broke up with me but kept calling me wanting to take me out for my birthday, now this was two months before my b-day and all I could think of was he had bought be something that he couldnt return and he might as well give it to me as a "burying the hatchet" gift. I went out, bought a new dress, got my hair done...you know the whole works (maybe we will get back together, thought running through my mind). The "gift" was a Sting CD that he thought I liked (which I did, but that was besides the point) I wanted to scream at him " I had a chance to be in the FRONT ROW at the Sting concert the night before my b-day, but I turned the guy down....BECAUSE OF YOU!!!!! I cursed him out and he has never called me again, thank goodness, plus I moved to another state so I dont have to worry about that anymore!!!

I dont think I have ever been stalked as an adult, but I was as a child and young teenager. By an older man in the neighborhood. he knew exactly where I lived and there were a couple of times when my friend and I would go to the downtown outdoor skating rink, I would feel someone watching me. When i would look around, he would be watching me skate. Well I would never tell anyone because I thought no one would believe me. (you know, young kids grown ups never listened in the 70's to us anyway). So I never told and we finally moved out of the neighborhood and I never saw him again, THANK GOD. Now I live in S. Carolina and no local man will give me a second glance so I dont have anything to worry about now!!!! Just be careful and if they get too close....CALL THE LAW!!!!!

Maybe we women are just so self-conscious about our bodies in the first place and when you see "perfect" women on TV and all the guys killing themselves to get to them, we average women with stretchmarks and scars are really intimidated. I am glad you asked this question because I have lost about 65 lbs and I just feel really bad about my body with all the stretchmarks starting to now show up. Gentlemen, thank you for the responses, now maybe I wont be so hard on myself about my stretchmarks!!!!

Well I will give you that advice that I received when I was on The Oprah Show when I was 26. " Do the things that you love to do and you will meet someone there." In fact, I met an now "ex-fiance" swimming laps at a local swim club. Im sorry that it is now an "EX" but I just dont think things would have went well with him, but you have to take your chances, just like you would at a club. Unfortunately, you just have to wing it and hopefully the "DATING/RELATIONSHIP GODS" will smile upon you. But you still have to be a nice guy and have some sort of spark about you and you will draw the women like moths to a flame. Show a positive attitude, It seems to be working for me right now!!!!
