Class action against Yahoo Personals and Match.com for fraud Posted: 11/19/2005 9:11:45 PM | I believe it is beyond bad business to lure people into thinking they have found a special person, just to seek gain. This goes into corruption the same as money laundering or other such actions. Pepole who use match services normally are either in a sparsly populated area, new to the dating scene,or are entitled to their privacy-to use their emotions in such an abusive manner deserves a class action suit. I personally have had bad experiances with both mentioned companies myself.
A person is a bit shy to start off with, and something like this only makes it harder for them to make other attempts,as they would rightly feel they were being abused or taken advantage of in a vulnerable position.
Money is only good if you earn it,if you have to cheat others to get it,you deserve whatever you get. Let's hope that the courts will hold the individuals accountable, as well as the corporate structure that allows or even encourages this deceitful practice.
If you operate a public service,be it for profit or not,you have a responsibility to assure no harm or falseness is done. | | | |
