The myth of Eastern European Girl?
Posted: 1/28/2013 4:20:30 PM
I'm Bosnian (which I suppose would count as Eastern European for the purposes of this thread).
This has been, umm, interesting reading...
It would be great if you explained why it makes interesting reading.

OP you have deepthroat as your 1st interest on your profile, apart from the obvious question of do you prefer to give deepthroat or receive best, (Hey your a giving kind of man right? I'll presume you give great bj's) it does make me wonder why your asking us why women think you're a player.

Meet Me Feature.. is there any point?
Posted: 1/7/2013 6:24:45 AM
Honestly it's all b*ll*cks ... I have 90 men who apparently want to meet me, this is obviously wrong as my profile is hidden apart from the forums and if anyone bothers to look at it they will see I am happily attached and not dating in big fekk off letters. I wouldn't want anyone to think this Meet Me feature is anything other than lies.

Advantages Of The Opposite Sex
Posted: 1/5/2013 2:35:17 AM
Advantages of being a man:
More pay for the same hours.
Being taken seriously in business.
When you're in a bad mood everyone accepts there's a reason for it rather than just automatically blaming it on 'hormones' and pmt even when it's not.
Conversely ... Logical thought not plagued by pmt (you boys think us girls have a choice over this?)
Man Flu
Advantages of being a woman:
Multiple orgasms. :-D
I am perfectly happy being a woman. :-D

Excessive skin after weight loss
Posted: 1/4/2013 12:17:50 AM
If it were a guy complaining about his girlfriends excess skin would you tell him to dump her? I'll bet theres a pretty big double standard on this one.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I wonder if a man told the OP or any of the women here to get plastic surgery because their boobs were too small/big would they do it or would they tell him where to go? Not to mention the tummy from pregnancy.
Edit: Shelley does that mean benefits will pay for gym memberships?

Universal Credits !!
Posted: 1/2/2013 8:19:04 AM
The system is designed to hold you back as much as it is to hold you up. It's as much a form of mass control as it is a form of mass support. They give and then demand for it back. When I was on WFTCs they decided I owed them £2k one year and another year it was £800 so even though I am no longer on the WFTCs I am still paying them back. If you can do it Pete I would be putting as much of that money away as you can afford to or you'll be up the creek next year.

Wanting Christian Grey.....

I don't have to experience it too understand it
Yes you do. To fully understand why people do what they do you have to walk in their spiked heels. All you are doing is parroting and while a lot of what you have been told is right, your core understanding of it is wrong. Please recognise the difference. Your Master friend will.

Wanting Christian Grey.....
Posted: 12/31/2012 10:05:04 AM
Or be ready to learn from the people who know it best.
Or be ready to learn from your personal experience rather than spouting off what you've been told rather than done. Why are you talking about stuff you haven't even experienced? Oh yeah I forgot, in the name of discussion.
The point being that BDSM can be whatever you want it to be, it can be as soft or as hard as you want it, it can have whatever rules the 2 of you decide, it has no limits either way.
Ok as you were. Enjoy.

Wanting Christian Grey.....
Posted: 12/30/2012 4:23:50 PM
With respect MaK you are making generalisations from one man's personal preferences. There are no set rules, no 'proper' way in BDSM and everyone has their own translation, same as with anything else in life.
The book is crap though. Utter boll*cks on so many levels. But hey the magic of marketing means the author is raking it in.
Not all women want a Christian Grey ... some think he's a complete wuss and would tie him to the ceiling and s*d off down the pub.

Posted: 12/11/2012 10:39:30 AM
I'd have told her that class comes naturally to those who have it regardless of their place in a bygone feudal system, and that you have it and can see by her judgmental reply that she clearly doesn't.
Ps .. ok the feudal system is still alive n kicking in England but I am presuming Canada is further ahead in that dept.
Edit: Cowboy I got the feeling the OP was just asking out of interest rather than being upset about it.

OP please take this as help rather than criticism, as I don't want to offend you in any way but your profile will be putting a lot of men off as it's giving me red flags straight away.
Things I wouldn't put on my profile if I were you:
Troubled teens
Troubled past
PTSD
Chronic illness
Knights in Shining armour
The need for a man to be tolerant of teens indicates you want them to be dealing with your children, whereas you have stated not getting him involved in your family life for a long time. Which one is it?
Some will say keep all of the above on your profile so that men know what they want to be missing, but I suggest that if you wish to keep it on, you tone it all down a bit if you want to get dates rather than con artists. All of the above is stuff that you are dealing with alone, you don't need a man to take this on, just someone to have nice times with.
Best of luck. x

Aww Charity where's your imagination? Some free dates I have had have included walking, bat watching, beach combing, satellite spotting ....
I'm here for the forums cos I'm a sad old bat who doesn't watch telly, this is about as near to soapdom as I can manage. Like the lovely OP I met someone of this site and so am not looking for a date, I just like reading the general gubbins everyone posts.

Bring on the sexual compatibility section
Haven't they still got one? I seem to remember filling out a sex questionnaire on here in the dim and distant past. The problem with those things is that people can lie to themselves as much as they lie to the world and the nympho you think you're dating might turn out to be a repressed fearful fantasist with an overactive imagination.

dating on ant depressants?

But they can get down to the docs to get their pills. Then the chemist to fulfill their prescription. Then back to the chemist to get a repeat.
Argument invalid.
Actually a lot of depressed people can't even manage that.

Call me cynical but I don't believe a word of what the BBC or anyone else on telly says. The license is just yet another way of getting money and I'm sure they'll find a way to continue it even if your argument is sound OP.
Best just not to have a telly really.

New PoF feature for women only - Contacts
Posted: 11/20/2012 3:39:12 AM
I don't like 'bint' either, I get called a Doris when he's p'd off at me, that's a much nicer insult.
can remember reading a while ago about a suggestion of only women be allowed to instigate first contact ... do think thats the best way forward and will get rid of "look at me, keep me entertained crowd
Would all the men be happy with that arrangement?

Probably the same as why they sit there with no clothes on and .... oh hang on ... I'm in stealth mode?

Can people who use POF be trusted once they have found somebody
Posted: 6/28/2012 12:24:50 AM
I've just popped on the forums to have a catch up and find this!
It's not called 'Plenty of Swans'
Haha CK that's made me laugh this morning!
I am happily in a LTR and my hidden profile should anyone find it clearly states the fact. Some of us like reading the forums and aren't here for the dating and some of us have partners who are secure enough for it not to bother them.

My son/daughter will always come first.
Posted: 5/22/2012 12:30:50 AM
I want to be able to look back at my children's lives and I say to myself that I always did my best for them, they are my priority because they didn't ask to come into my life, I brought them here, so yes they come before anything else, I owe them that much. If a man feels that attitude is wrong and that he should come before my children then he's not the man for me, it's really that simple. My SO agrees with me and our relationship hasn't suffered in fact who I am as a mother is part of what he loves about me.

what is love?
Posted: 5/22/2012 12:19:01 AM
Love is .... Robin giving someone his last piece of cheesecake.
Love is ... Undefinable due to it's multi-facetted individual nature. Love is different for everyone.
Love is ... a chemical reaction, as all emotions are. It could be argued that it's the one emotion that neutralises all the others.
Love is ... the one thing that validates our existence be it the love of our partners, children, friends, animals, art, music, nature ....

Thanks Jaqi ... and wow that's amazing that you lost 5 stone and the thunder thighs into the bargain! I've been going a few years now, I got really heavy into it about 3 years ago and got the 6 pack etc but have softened up this past year. Never got rid of the saddlebags though. :-(
Edit:
I wish I had the motivation that some of you ladies have! :)

Ladies Who Go To The Gym.
Posted: 5/20/2012 2:50:13 PM
I go to the gym because I am rubbish at self motivation and once I'm at the gym my motivation seems to kick in and I do the work. I also like the classes and I try to get to 3 or 4 a week depending on my work hours. I go the gym for my health, it keeps my thyroid from packing up completely, it gives me energy and makes me feel good. I don't have Jaqi's fabulous figure, I've got lumps and bumps in all the wrong places, but it makes me feel so much better that I feel it's money worth spending.

No, no reply is NOT a reply, it fails the definition, and it's bollox used by lazy average women thinking they're something special because their inbox gets hammered by desperate anoraks.
Actually Chappie it's more about not wanting to get abusive pm's that the polite 'thank but no thanks' seem to evoke. Sadly the tw@ts on the site ruin it for the rest.
