It isn't love, its attraction
Posted: 6/26/2009 8:14:00 AM
OP,
I truly concur with what you say, I read on a profile a very profound statement. Never make a person " Your" priority in life which merely considers you an " Option" in thiers
Too many times, we do fall head over heals in love with the one "We" think is the ONE.

In my first and only marriage, I worked very hard to be All things for my sons mother.
Worked in both retail management and served in the Army national guard. Helped in every facit of our son being raised, expressed affection and unwaivering love. Much to my shock and dismay I found out only to many years into the marriage she carried a flame for a married man who is 24 years older than me.

Knowing only to late that on her part she never really Loved me, she only settled. This was so deeply painful for me and my family who adored her without reservation. My lesson, be sure that all previous love interests are just that " In the Past" and No chance
to become a future threat.

What is a guys idea of a long time??
Posted: 6/26/2009 7:59:12 AM
OP,
Please don't make the mistake of waiting around indefinately for this individual to sew his oats and then want to settle down with you. As another poster stated he wanted his freedom to bed down other woman without the emotional pain of knowing he cheated on you.

If you were the best girlfriend he could ever hope for then, he must not feel worthy? Or, he didn't want a guilty concience when he would bump into you with another girlfriend.

cheaters ruin lives
Posted: 6/26/2009 7:49:22 AM
Hello Brave Heart,
I applaud you for your compassion, but unfortunately too many undeserving people use what you share and disregard it with little or no thought. The difference in years between you and your ex is actually 5years+ the gap between my former wife and her current husband who she cheated on me with.

Without sounding full of BS, You are a Beautiful Woman, and you will find someone closer to your age that will love you for all the wonderful memories that will be shared by both of you in the years to come. I divorced my son's mother nine years ago, and dated only three times since.

Life as we know it is full of ups and downs, we just have to navigate around the hills to find the peaceful valley.

OP,
Unfortunately like so many thousands of people do of both gender's I found myself as a statistic. At the close of my marriage I found out that my former wife had been with this older married man before I married her. he was 40 and she was 18, he is actually 23 years older than me.

Take stock of your self worth, realize that " You " are better without this person. It does take time, and counceling does help. Refelect on what you have to offer, and be more cautious to move in right away with someone. Definetly date for at least a year, and then if all feelings are mutual become engaged. Only one more thing remain apart from moving in together until you marry.

Waking your partner for sex!
Posted: 6/22/2009 5:49:53 PM
OP,
this is going to be hilarious in my opinion, while I was married that was the tact I was forced to use because she was so dang frigid. It was like waking up and warming up an Ice berg, but who doesn't enjoy a challenge?

Once I had her awake and her full attention she would complain that it was taking to long for me to reach my climax, and finish. There was always an excuse to hurry because she said it hurt to much, or she was tired and wanted me to stop. She would finish me off with a good hummm job and then roll over with the blankets between us?

Curious... what is sexy??
Posted: 6/22/2009 5:34:48 PM
OP,
JMO, but I go nutz over a sensual pair of eye's! The woman batting them does not need to be loose or , easy. Just the little mischeavious smile and the eye's doing the talking is what turns my head in an instant.

I was a bouncer in a nite club for 4 years PT, and I met woman of every race ,build and marital status. Some patronized the club looking for a specific race, and some for just a hook up? while other's were out with the girls and wanted to just un-wind for the night.

Being a bouncer is a double edged sword, if you are dating someone the other woman know you are and attempt to tease you in the sight of your girlfriend. Respect and trust had to be paramount for both of us in order to work in this field. Woman are just as flirtatious and twisted as men can be.

I challenge anyone to honestly say they never try to tease a man who appeals to them whether they know he is dating someone or not!

Are Russian Women Different?
Posted: 6/20/2009 6:52:09 AM
OP >JMO, European Woman are different from any woman you have ever met. Most are different by way of country to country. I married a woman who was born and raised in south wales, she and most of her female family member's are un-affectionate.
Spanish and Italian woman are very passionate, but possess a very fiery temper. You do not want to anger them, they stay angry for hours until they cool down.

Russian woman I have met and spoken to are mostly unemotional, beautiful and very worldly, but cold. Many american men make the mistake of believing that european woman will be less challenging than American woman. Intimacy is less the difficulty than the emotional bond we all desire. You also have to take into account that because most come from a very modest financial enviroment, they will pursue the best fit.

If you are interested in this woman because she may be eye candy on your arm, take some serious stock as to whether she will be receptive to your emotional need to be close and smile without request.

Stories of how you got a FWB
Posted: 6/17/2009 4:54:27 PM
OP , I was working PT as a Niteclub bouncer, A latino woman moved into the apartment complex across the street from mine and after a short time began patronizing the club every other weekend.

She walked up to me on the upper tier and asked if i lived on Johnston drive, I said yes I do, with my son. she asked if I was seeing anyone and I replied no, which was also true.

after about 3 weeks of seeing her at the club and the fact she would dance just below me all the time and Taunt me to death, " She" asked me to breakfast. I eccepted only if it could be my treat. she obliged, and the following week we became after breakfast buddies. from there we shared breakfast lunch and even dinner on the weekends that her 10 year old was with his dad.

I tell you fact: I never knew an oven could reach that temperature to bake a Pie? WoW

Female Sexual Disfunction
Posted: 6/17/2009 3:54:29 PM
OP, I know the ladies will somewhat take this the wrong way? But. I wish they had this available for my now ex-wife 12 years ago. Maybe like a 50 gallon drum filled to the rim and an intrevenious tube attached to the pelvis area? LOL!!!!

I know two sides to the story? I could walk in from work, take one look at her and become aroused. the chemistry that I felt for her was lost in translation!

I did not know most of the early years and even beyond that she was into daddy figures , and needed someone 20+ years older to be into a man? True, and depressing

Man Sues Match.com for Baiting & Switching
Posted: 6/17/2009 3:09:20 PM
JMO, the fact that this gentleman feels dis-stressed from spending a monthly fee to possibly make a connection was his choice. " If " Match. com is presenting profiles of both extremely great looking Woman and Men, when in fact the are so called "Bots" then a judge will decide.

Sueing for the sum of 5 Million dollars for his suffering? PLEAZE! this s another one of those I drove through the McDonalds drive thru and was burned when the lid popped off between my legs??????? Hello! no wonder we all are paying for someone else's idiosy.

The opportunity to write a perspective date interest is a two way street, one initiates the interest, and the recieving party either aknowledges it, or they dont? If they are a kind hearted person and decides to forward a "Thank You ' but no thank you response then you move on.

This reminds me of the " Red Light District in Berlin, Germany called the wall. you go up and down the street below maybe 25 window's which contain a lady who you pick, she comes to the door, takes you to her room and the rest is self explanitory. Army personell will know what I am pertaining too. there is no one standing on the corner, and you are examined by an actual medical person before she even reaches the room.

HOME COOKED MEALS AND MOVIES FOR A FIRST DATE?
Posted: 6/17/2009 2:30:50 PM
OP, first thing right away, Never invite a first time date into your home for any reason. at this point and time, you can never truly trust anyone, " Male or Female" and with how most of the participants on many site's overly become inquizitive of where you live? is it with children? Dogs, Ect, Ect?

The safety and security of your home is the place you bring them into well after you have dated for some time. Has nothing to do with specifically where you live, just what you have laying about? what type of furniture gives a stranger an idea of what kind of financial's you may have.

And last but not least, if this person, again Male or female is a true stalker, you have no privacy! your house will be watched from anywhere possibly daily? maybe to see if you bring home different people other than them? that will go over well. My policy is always a public place, and wait for a while till you drive to a planned location together.

Fashionlady, you are Hilarious!!! and you are right, who cares if the honey pot is a different dang color or not? any guy who achieves the opportunity to view the pie better enjoy it no matter what!

I do prefer a trimmed dessert myself, doesn't have to be hairless, just not hiding the good part, Hmmmmm. I was an Army Ranger for 25 years and spent many a week chopping through jungles while training, now that was tedious.

JMO, in many cases a woman does not even have to touch a spot on me to get me aroused. first, and fore most if a woman has intoxicating sensual eyes and " Knows " how to use them just right : )> More times than not a penatrating look into my eyes made my BP raise like nothing else.

After the oh my god twitch and then the feel of her lips touching mine, its ON! and I don't mean ESPN.

The best feature that really rocks my world to be old school is those little dimples on thefront of woman's hips just outside the honey pot. Love tracing those with my tongue

Mistakes most men make in the bedroom
Posted: 6/16/2009 5:41:50 PM
OP, getting the facts and insight is the way to go. Too many men and woman think the same that sex is supposed to be like thier previous lover. Humbly, I confess that my exploits can be counted on one hand, Not bragging ,or complaining. My first sexual experience was with my ex-wife who was as frigid as they come.

My second was with an incredible blonde who frequented the nite club I bounced at, she was a nymph.

the third woman I surrendered to was a Hispanic woman originally from brooklyn, NY
this Woman took me to places I never even knew exsisted. I worked a full time management position in retail when I met her, and then bounced on the weekends. She became a regular patron on friday and saturday's when she shared custody with her ex.

So is there a difference in the sexual appetite of various woman, Oh yea! and do they stay consistant with what and how frequent they want it, I have to say yes. Good Post.

Ashley , I can't speak for all men in regard to what turns them on or how quickly? all I can include is for me it's the chemistry, and Eye contact. If a woman can get me ready to go with a seductive look, AhOooo.

The blood may be pumping like mad to the south pole, but I still prefer to taste the pie and feeling every quiver on my tongue. When I know she has peaked then and only then will I let her start to pleaze me.

some prefer quickies, others prefer prolonging the action as long as possible. Get the Love him out of your head ,cause that is the reason he knows he's getting his and your not.

OP, the fact you did the deed for this guy within the first week you had been together is a bit surprising , but then again who knows. If you are that talented to cause him to explode in your mouth, thank goodness it wasn't me, you would have needed the back of your throat closed up with the length of time since I last had the pleasure.

My guess is that some guy's dont say much of anything, and other's like me would be yelling like crazy that I'm about to unleash a stream, get ready! and to bustylatina2000 , hola Mommasita! if only I was 21 again, Dang. you have to be breaking hearts out there or causing a lot of dude's to be in alot of pain just looking

How old is too old to still be living with your parents? Would you date someone that still did?
Posted: 6/15/2009 7:32:22 PM
JMO, at this point and time there are a multitude of reasons why some still live at home, There is the noble reason that a parent is disabled and cannot physically take care of themselves. Constituting the need to reside in the home till a more suitable solution can be attained.

Financial reasons? right now people are losing thier career's and livelyhoods at a record setting pace. For a short term, moving home may give both members of the family comfort.

If one judges another based on where they reside, and not venture to inquire as to why? you may just be doing yourself a grave in-justice. Alot of middle aged children now reverse the roll of care taker for the elderly parent who now becomes the one needing assistance, without the finacial means to secure a 24 hour senior assitance type residence to free you of such burden's.

Ladies, Want to know what happened to all the Nice Guys?
Posted: 6/15/2009 6:57:11 PM
Troop, take this advise from a 25 year retired veteran who served his country like thousands of other's have. If your looking for an Intelligent young woman to meet? consider proof reading your profile material.

I Trained at Ft. Knox, Disney barracks to be specific. I took a taxi from the gate to the rollar skating rink there in Radcliff and even though I was a polished skater, and speed skater at that age a little bit of acting will find you a willing party to hold your hand and attempt to help you.

There are alot of young troops out there full if P**s and vinager who think that being a thug to woman will attract them to himself, " Not ". I was an 19E10 there at Knox and then progressed to an 22V1P and lastly an 18 A. You will know what I mean but a lady won't, unless they too are in the Army.

The best practice of attracting the attention of a good woman is not to profess how " You Roll" , it's more how you exprees yourself in an Intelligent manner that will most likely make a favorable first impression.

Some helpful dating advice please!
Posted: 6/15/2009 6:32:00 PM
Friend, Sometimes something as simple as just saying hello in a geniune manner will peak thier attention. I was always shy around woman, especially the attractive one's.

I was married for 12 yeras and would not even consider checking out another woman because i believed it was dis-respectful to my former wife? After nearly a decade of my single life I will greet every woman who I pass. If they snub thier nose up at me after, hey they have the problem.

Be yourself and let your personality work for you, if they like what they see? then by braving it and saying hello will create more curiousity. Your young and still wanting to explore all the facits of life that have been on the back burner.

Travel to a large grocery store on a friday night or a saturday morning and see how many available woman will be up and down the aisles. as strange as it sounds, find a large church, or house of worship near your home to attend on sunday. Fact be known if your looking for a wife and lifetime partner, you won't find a good one trolling the local bars. Thier only there to drown thier own shortcomings in a glass of wine.

Golddiggers and paranoia
Posted: 6/15/2009 6:07:54 PM
JMO, The onlypercentage of woman who are true gold diggers are the one's whose daddy's spoiled them as little girls. They grew up with the preverbial Silver spoon in thier gerber food and never eccepted anything less than what they could charge on radeo drive.

The secondary percentage of true gold digger's are the most attractive or, " Hotties " who use thier good looks and physical attributes to attract the wealthiest men out there in any given city.

The Third and most redible gold digger's are the woman who marry for money, these are your mail order brides. Exclusive and regarded as the cream de le cream. the one's who know if they abuse the privelage provided for them thier out on the street, or sent back to thier native country to be recycled to the next top bidder.

Ladies, Want to know what happened to all the Nice Guys?
Posted: 6/15/2009 5:32:40 PM
JMO, the " Nice Guy Syndrome" Ladies first and foremost allow me to clarify what it means to most.
1) A lady is never treated with dis-respect or verbally, physically abused
2) A Nice Guy does not need to sew his oats at the local watering hole every night after work until he comes home to you useless.
3). A Nice Guy, will be your equal partner in the relationship or marriage to accomplish what You had hoped he would do.
4) A Nice Guy, won't be a wimp but expresses what he feels in a mature manner without being castrated for opening up, as most woman state they want?
5) A Nice Guy, will share the tasks around the house in addition to his responsibility to provide the security and stability that he eccepts when he marries. And if both parties work a full time job, he will appreciate your efforts to work hand in hand for the family
6) A Nice Guy, won't cheat on you for any reason, he feels 5,10,15, 30 whatever length of time in the marriage that You complete him. therefore, No need to stray?
7) A Nice Guy, will do is best to take you dancing on a friday or saturday night when his body aches from a full week of work, just as you would be exhausted from your efforts as well.
8) But I digress, The Nice Guy, is not what challenges you to the chase, it's the one's who are un-tamed and out of your control that entices your interest. the guy who will wait till you enter the ladies room and then be eye balling all the other tight jeans at the local bar, or the single hottie in the vegetable aisle picking out carrots, or the puppies in a thong bikini at the local beach or nieghborhood pool behind his sunglasses because he pretends you dont know he's undressing her with his eye's?

Broken heart and wedding vows
Posted: 6/15/2009 4:33:39 PM
I guess when you think the whole aspect of why people cheat? there are as many reason's as there are days in the month. Truly, I made the mistake of thinking that if I worshiped the ground my son's mother walked upon, it would secure my place in her heart and soul?

I worked two jobs like many to provide a secure life style. participated in the raising of our child, diapers and all. Made her hot tea and toast when she requested some, and my hands were always providing a soothing massage at the end of the long day.

When I attempted to become affectionate I was told not too, when I attempted to create some intimacy in the bedroom I was told to leave her alone? WoW, Much to my surprise did I find out she had been carrying on an extra marital affair with another married man 24 years my senior?

She didn't need me for the functions of her husband, she relished the security I provided. The affections that I nearly pleaded for were given willingly to a father type figure who she had pursued since she was 18.

Her own father cared for me as a son vs. a son-n-law. He was devastated to find out that she had betrayed our marriage and blamed him for re-marrying a second time to a woman who lived 2 hours drive from his daughter at a young age.

BBW...Why is it so hard to be full figured??
Posted: 6/15/2009 2:51:47 PM
rhodax, I agree with your first attraction to petite to average build ladies. My former wife was just this way and she was a brunette, 5'5" and an "A" cup for sure.

Seemed that she spent more time during foreplay complaining about how i nibbled to hard, or I sucked her nipples to hard? it never bothered me from the start her bra size cause the chemistry was intense, well at least during the dating phase.

Once we were married, it was like get away, don't bother me, not in the mood? What? I payed attention to her needs aside from intimacy. I believe that woman irregardless of thier physiology will either be attractive and mutually into us men, or they won't.

We divorced because she was cheating with a married man 24 years my senior, he is not rich, but he serves as the father figure that I could not fulfill. On the other side of this I remain attracted to petite ladies, primarily spanish and greek. Mmmmmmmm!

Does Anyone Discuss The Possibility of Pregnancy Before Sex?
Posted: 6/15/2009 2:27:34 PM
I guess one could use the old saying an once of prevention is worth 7 lbs of the cure? We as adults know whether we want to have a child as an end result of the love making.

Even if it takes practice session after practice session, some woman can concieve with the least amount of sperm reaching thier target.

Teenager's want the experience of just bragging they had sex with so and so! But if we engage in irresponsible intimacy without for thought, we all know the innevidble will usually happen.

WoW, Ashley speaking as a retired Army officer and only 48 you are incredible! With those eye's you should have no problem attracting anyone to your side. Military life is challenging for both parties in a relationship, or marriage.

If this fiance is only in for getting his , and not fulfilling you? I would suggest talking to him one last serious time and then shutting him off completely. Not suggesting head games, just saying if he won't satisfy you till your ready to pass out, time to end it.

Just being honest, I was a chaplain who spent countless hours counceling military couples in domestic challenges like this and many month's of seperation from long deployments and I am very aware of the strain it causes. But, for you enough is enough you do deserve 100% of his off duty time attention.

Ladies, your honest to goodness answer would be nice
Posted: 6/15/2009 12:38:24 PM
JMO, But, I am sure most people have seen those commercials for Extenze stuff? They usually have interview's with couples on the street asking if " Size Really Matters" ? and in nearly every case, orchastrated or not the girlfriend says yes it matters. One of the paid advertisements showed 3 woman sitting on a sofa of various race and body size.
All three stated that they broke up with thier former lover's because they just couldn't enjoy the sex. So we men watch these stupid tv ads and then hung or not buy this stuff to increase the size wether we need to or not. Curlygrl, you make a good argument for the more intimate and emotional part of the intimacy, but once he drops the BVD's it's either she is gasping at what is before her, or trying not to laugh and then the mood is Gone!

Is it Cheating when you are seperated and could you forgive?
Posted: 6/15/2009 11:22:06 AM
JMO, if you are seperated by manner different places of residence and have officially filed the paper's in court? that's a real legal seperation. Taking a sabatical of sorts to sew your oats before working things out, that just plain cheating no matter how you cut it.

If you both are still considering working things out and trying to recincile, keep the temptations out of your daily life and grin and bare it till you both know for sure? the devil will sure be whispering in either your ear's to stray, but if you give in and you do recincile? Do you say to your signifigant other while we were apart I had an affair? or do you try and hide it as long as possible?

It's all up to what your morale's are and wether you are done forever, or just a break?

Nice guys finish last is a sad truth...
Posted: 6/15/2009 11:05:35 AM
Thanx Deck88, I do appreciate your cander! And your right the nightclub scene is just that a pick up place for some strange stuff. But, my point more importantly is those at the club are primarily married, or involved with someone and looking for a weekly romp.

I retired from the Army in 2007 and seen marriages destroyed by pretitor's on the hunt by both sexes. It only takes a 6 month to a 1 year tour over sea's to create that urge for the military wives, or husband's to wonder into the cheating zone. Ever watch the program " Army Wives " ? great example of every senerio possible.

The night club only acts as a tool, the intent battling the concience is the fine line of should they or shouldn't they cross that line? I actually wittnessed a group of woman out at this club , one of them her husband had just deployed that morning. She was already grinding against some guy she didn't even know because she had no fear of getting caught.???

Ever feel like your going to be alone forever?
Posted: 6/15/2009 6:45:54 AM
JMO, there are sooo many married people out there who as an individual are possibly more un-happy than you are as a single person. I do believe that "Having Someone" is not always the best aspect of your self asteem.

Most recently I broke my singlehood to venture out and meet someone, the woman I met was from this very site. She is a wonderful mother and woman, who would make a very good partner for anyone on any dating site.

My son is away at college in Florida and requested that I return to the Orlando area to help him financially as he completes his up coming senior year. The person who split the costs of the condo and expenses is transfering to another school . Re-locating again is more of a family challenge for me because my Mom is in poor health here in Pa.

My son is as much my blood as my Mom is, and the fine line to walk is so pricarious. The challenges of being 1,200 miles away, God forbid something should happen rips at my heart and concience. Begining a relationship with a great person and then having to end it has been very difficult to do.

Nice guys finish last is a sad truth...

" Nice Guys" How do we accuretly define this characteristic? A ' Non Player', Woman relish the challenge to try and mold a "Bad Boy" type man into the image that will supply them with the excitement of living on the edge with a wild child, plus the factor of trying to moderate the outside the home activities of thier love interest.

We all want the person we choose to be a "Nice Person" deep down inside. Some woman confuse the process of trying to nurture a love interest with controlling many aspects of the relationship.

I worked for 6 years as a part time niteclub bouncer and observed nearly every type of personality known to modern psychology. There are both husbands and wives who have the Boys and then Girls night out.

I wittnessed as many Married woman acted up with pure strangers, as much as men hit a hot nite club for the eye candy in skimpy dresses. Bottom line here? the "Bad Boys" left with the Hottest ladies and most likely got sum? 60% of the Hot wives who hit the club with thier girlfriends, left the club without thier girlfriends.

The "Nice Guys" went to a local resteraunt for breakfast and then carefully drove home to reflect on what they know was missed out on!

Finding your ex on POF
Posted: 6/14/2009 4:39:32 PM
With a bit of sarcasim, and total dis-taste for my former cheating wife I can comfortably say she would not be on this site. The only site I could realisticly see her engaging on is" How to steal your Senior aged husband cause I need a Daddy figure" is there a site like this?LOL.

There are so many reasons why people do what they do? For most of us decent people, many will be on the short end of the stick. A trist may be just that, or an extention of a previous encounter.

Which ever the reason, Why? won't people male or female just end the current relationship and then engage in the extra marital affairs? or should I type it "After marital Affairs"?

My Friend Is Cheating On Her Husband
Posted: 6/14/2009 4:24:08 PM
JMO, but personally I would have prefered if a "Friend" would have shared thier suspicions with me! A friend who keeps silent, and condon's the activity without being forthcoming would be adding to the finality of the heart break.

My instincts told me she was cheating, her consistant refusal to be intimate with me was blaitent. The constant incoming calls into our just purchased home, rang louder than the ringer. The hang ups with the response of my voice, and the fact the call was always blocked? well, she always said must be just a wrong number thing?? yeah right!

IMHO, if you consider yourself a true friend, you either confront the wrongful party, or you make it clear that until they resolve thier personal activities you don't want to speak with them until then. I believe as my dear Grandfather always said, If you can live with a guilty concience, then the lie really rests with you.

Friends With Benefits
Posted: 6/14/2009 3:45:47 PM
First let me say I have no intent to say all woman from England are like my former wife, who was from South Wales. She was the most frigid woman I have ever known.

After my divorce, and 12 years of marriage following the laws of God and my vows I met two woman who wanted nothing but friends with benefits. The Latin lady who totally took me to the brink of exhaustion was the most extreme measure from my son's mother.

She never judged me, never compared me to anyone and could have seduced anyone that she found attractive if she chose to. Since that very last day that I smiled for days after, I have never experienced that again.

I don't know why, but I believe that such a woman has spoiled me to search for the same nationality again. Hopefully, I will find that intensity and passion again some day.

By no means is my post boasting of a 6 year laps in intimacy, just the fact I have not felt that total fire storm since my last relationship. The Latin lady who totally kept me exhausted was 2003 and of all days Valentine's day?

I will be re-locating back to the east coast of Florida for my son, and that has also kept me from wanting to become intimate with anyone from NE Pennsylvania. Each time I read forum's of this nature I wonder if there are truly other's who can restrain thier temptations and desire's?

No bragging here, most times it is ripping me inside to contain the urge to "Want" and pleaze another hot blooded human being. ( Ladies Only!). My experience by choice has been confined because I just won't sleep around for the sake of doing so.

Men who refuse to date women thier own age an older.why?
Posted: 6/14/2009 2:06:40 PM
Fact is, my experience with woman is limited to what one can count on one hand. One marriage and 4 dating experiences afterward. My son is 22 and I would feel very uncomfortable in dating a young woman old enough to be my daughter, but more so closer to my age.

We all have our tastes, and expectations in possible dating opportunities. To each thier own is right, and may everyone find that just perfect fit. my preference is between 40 and 50 years of age. But because I wish not to marry in the future many woman will not find that cander perplexing?

So why are u single we all have are storys!?!?!
Posted: 6/14/2009 1:49:20 PM
Fact is, I was married for 12 years to the type of woman so I thought most men hope to find. She was shy, non argumenative, and well liked by co-worker's and my family. My son's mother turned out to have psychological issue's pertaining to a father figure type partner verses, a husband and best friend.

Only after my divorce was concluded did I begin to date, met a couple of very sensual ladies who were complete opposite of my former wife. They prefered a friend with benefits type relationship , with which I found unusual but became comfortable with.

with my pending re-location back to florida come early september, I will refrain from dating anyone from the NE part of the country. We all have a best fit for what we want in life, sometimes it just takes time to discover such.

Just reflecting on the lack of concern for our son and his feelings. she just up and left for florida with her 70 year old boyfriend and told me to take care of him. I will be there for him and my grandchildren some day, when he and his fiance' starts a family.

How can you tell your boyfriend i cheated on you
Posted: 4/22/2009 10:25:38 AM
anishinaa, You are true genius! I could not have summed up that entire segment better myself as a trained councelor. There is no proper excuse for cheating, period. Can't use alchohol, a weak moment, not having very good relations with present company or whatever.

Experience as a person who was cheated on, the cheater know's thier actions from the onset are going to be wrong. They want to carry it out, and for better or worse the decision to do it has already been made in thier mind.

there is no wayward kiss, slight infatuation with someone who is a "Friend", a male or female makes the decision to cross that forbidden line with cardinal knowledge that those actions are hurtful and wrong.

Intimacy Question?
Posted: 4/22/2009 9:56:45 AM
Hi Tina, Have you asked your boyfriend if he is truely in love with you? If he has stated he loves you, it may be he knows that you need to hear that but may not really want to express that only six month's in to the relationship.

Also, if you have ever in any way, shape, or form expressed to your new boyfriend that you still have a close communication(Emotionally) with the former, he may be cautious to open up.

Just a guess? he may want to know your over your former boyfriend and will not stray back to him because he hasn't opened up as completely as you may expect him too. It pains me to say this but, some younger guy's are not as comfortable with saying the three word phrase that all woman want to hear!

would you marry for money?

mandakay , that is the most irrresponsible statement I have ever read anywhere! I have never cheated on my son's mother, nor even thought about it! as a Chaplain who was available to troops 24/7, I spent countless hours keeping male troops from taking thier lives because while we were in a combat zone or as simple as away for 2 weeks annual training thier girlfriends and wives back home were cheating with anyone they could seduce!

I have conducted a multitude of counceling sessions with Military couple's dealing with temptation and Infidelity. the common denominator I heard from the woman's mouths, "well he was gone so long I needed someone"??? "I have needs ya know"!
excuse me mandakay, but a soldier away from home during desert storm, granada, and the extraction of the dictator in Panama was no trip to a strip joint.

When I was wounded in desert storm and my leg was tore up, the Red Cross attempted to reach my ex-wife to notify her of my situation. They couldn't reach her why? cause she dropped our 3 year old son in the lap of her grandmother to care for and spent the entire day with the married man she had been cheating on me with!

when she finally arrived home her uncle's and aunt's were waiting for her to demand an explination of where she was because I was wounded. Even her uncle a retired Army Intel officer couldn't even find her? Don't ever size up brave soldier's as if they all beat or, abuse thier spouce. there is more of that in civilian life than anywhere!

Putting your spouse as last priority

CassaGo, you make some very good concise points, Pertaining to the unthinkable of a baby or young child dying. In the first month of my son being born he suffered from what was told to us "Colic", The poor child would scream bloody murder day and night

Because my son's mother chose the same pediatricians that her wealthy employer's had, she chose to be content with the assessment of the two doctor's who were charged with his care. After her grandmother , God rest her beautiful soul and myself saying there is something else wrong I demanded we get a second opinion.

We rushed my son to a family doctor from my childhood and he examined him in a manner that scared me to death. To make a long story short, his diagnosis was that our son had developed a bowel cavaty blockage which built up into the size of a tennis ball, and to painful to extract. The Doctor told us that if we had not brought him in within 72 hours he would be in grave danger.

Moral of this actual senerio, some mother's are as irresponsible to thier own as are father's not caring enough.

Constant, Please allow me to take this conversation to another level if I may?
Actual senerio, my son's mother had the luxury of her grandmother living with us and having her grandmother doddle over him 24/7. My ex would use any excuse to leave the house throughout the day, evening, weekends, whenever.

Given this obvious good fortune of Emma being there for him and resolving his mom of the hourly detail of caring for him you would think that would provide she and I of more together time, nope!

While on my deployments while serving in the national guard I was wounded during Desert Storm and the red cross, her family, my family could not even reach her to advise her of my situation because she was gone for the day!

Was I drinking beer with the guys? not a chance, was I putting friends first? not even close, was I worried what my "Family" would think getting the info, yes.

The fears of being alone
Posted: 4/22/2009 7:41:53 AM
JMO, are you really all alone ,meaning no family near by to visit and spend time with, or meaning no one at all and alone with no hope of personal happiness? Being alone in some ways is much better than living with someone who's purpose in life is to direct your every breath.

I am guilty of sucombing to a dominating woman who felt it was her right to control everything I did. Like another post in another subject, he wanted to purchase a motorcycle and his G/F told him if he does she will leave the relationship? Have a nice life would now be my response and closure.

There are many people who relish living alone, and they are not all for selfish reasons.
Most of us who partake in these forum's are mature adults who individually have been through many life experiences.

Living alone is only a state of mind, when you enter your job, you are interacting with others, when one goes to a picnic, amusement park with family, your not alone.

What do you think about people who see therapists?
Posted: 4/22/2009 7:26:41 AM
IMHO, retaining the services of a therapist is a wise endevor, whether your purpose is for relationship reasons? loss of a loved one from death, or a history of anxiety would help the strongest of souls.

Airing your laundry out in an open forum such as this, explaining that you seek out the assitance of a therapist for a break up with a B/F is a bit much. A broken marriage with who you gave birth to children from the marriage, I could see the need.

Breaking up with a B/F- G/F is something you confide in your friends with or, your pastor/priest/ or rev. Establishing a weekly/monthly session to discuss the break up of a boyfriend will only snow ball with every new acquintance you start.

If you are open and honest with a new relationship that you utilize the services of a therapist for a previous B/F, he may think he should reconsider.

Morning Constant, Are you familiar with New Philidelphia, Va. ? a very good friend lives there that I have not seen in about 12 years. he owns 600 acres there with horses.
plus 400 acres in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania. Guess Marial would think that's poverty stricken, LOL! I served at Ft. Lee and was schooled as a quartermaster officer during the 1982 thru 1984 time frame. Spent 3 annual training periods at Ft. Pickett. You have some beautiful scenery down there.

Thanx Marial, I appreciate your insight especially since the " Back Mountain " area is considered one of the wealthiest area's of real estate in all of pennsylvania. To be specific and no way defensive! I have traveled all over this country as an Army Officer
and in no way am I small town minded or, a native of this area. Merely renting here for the year. Educated at lehigh univ. and commisioned as an officer in 1987.

Other than vacations outside of pennsyltucky, were else have you resided? anywhere in Europe, South America, any other large populated region of this country? I lived and thrive in the busiest cities like Dallas,Tx metroplex, Tallahassee, Fl, Houston Tx. ect, ect. I know people who are wealthier than you, and they have reasons to be snobs.

You may want to deny your a snob, but while training for a Dallas, Pa pharmacy, I wittnessed all the " I'm Not superficial " ladies walking through those doors. Oh yeah, and the Grotto at harvey's lake, If that area isn't considered the snobs of snobs? Your lying to yourself.

Never " Assume" that you know who you are talking too, and what thier intillectual level is before you insult a small town type of person.

Have a wonderful day, Oh yeah ,I'll bet you drive to the shopps at Montage as well?

Do you feel that your exe's help make you a better person?
Posted: 4/22/2009 4:53:29 AM
IMHO, I can say with great conviction that the birth of my son was a blessing through her, and she made me so much wiser in regard to perception of tendencies. Actions speak louder than words? well, she taught me that too.

When I sucomb to the joy of being with another lady at some point in the future, I will be very attentive to her physical responses to my expression of affection. Never again will I allow myself to choose a life partner based on her appearance and soft spoken demeanor as a primary point of attraction.

Funny, when I began to date her she had large posters of older male movie stars on the walls of her bedroom, Sinatra, Bogart,Mitchem, ect. Never related that to a father figure syndrome , but live and learn.
