checked the OP's profile, reminds me of some guy who had his own website, but he was not very convincing and let him know it :)

men can wear women's clothes and some people can get upset, lots of women wear trousers and no-one gets upset...

mind you if dressing like a woman might give hints that you are gay and into blokes, not really sure....

I've never understood the attraction of golf, why any guy would want to play such a stupid game is beyond me :P

Every guy should dress once in a while, it's all good fun... Enforced crossdressing... oh wait there's already a fetish for that...

I been surprised too by the response I have got from my profile, lots of supportive email... however they are usually quick to point out that they are not interested in dating a transvestite. I've meet one girl, been on several dates with her, sometimes in boy mode and sometimes in girl mode.

I've only had one semi-negative email.

Other than that dating via pof has been one roller coaster ride, sometimes scary, often confusing as fcuk, and sometimes exhilarating.

"I don't have a problem with**** in frocks at all."

I'm wondering what your missing word is...surely it can't rhyme with frocks? And you look so innocent and ladylike!

I would have no hang-ups about socialising with a Tranny or anyone else who dresses unconventionally, in fact many of my most hilarious nights out included said persons in our company. I actually salsa danced with one in a bar earlier this year, and he could move his ass much better than any of the rest of the dancers.

Though I wouldn't be interested in dating one. I like a man to look like a man and a woman to look like a woman.

Very true Scotty babe I always say each to their own, live and let live. If you are worried about what other people are up to you obviously don't have enough going on in your own life to keep yourself satisfied and that's quite sad.

I must admit that I quite like cross dressers.

They are usually bloody hilarious. Some builder in a frock who thinks people will actually think he looks feminine. How deluded is that? Most of them would have more chance of being mistaken for a duck just by sporting a cardboard beak.

Each to their own.
Twice ive got dressed up as a gal fer a charity pub crawl round the pubs dotted around Catterick Garrison and Richmond...was a good laugh with over a dozen senior ranks all dressed as barrack bunnies...
However as a day to day thing then i will leave that to somebody else.

As a side note my last date was with a certain female off here and was like meeting a crossdresser as she was ever so slightly butch an looked rediculous in heels and a rather short dress.

Live and let live...
Admittedly, it is a rather extravagant expression of personality but I would accept it just like that - an expression that strives to break free (curtsy to Freddy's song).
And... who mentioned Almodovar?

I don't really mind. But I do expect a little bit of respect with how I am treated by others. So while as I try to be tolerant of others if they wish to dress up, if it makes me feel uncomfortable now and then, I would expect that others would respect that, and not demand that I have to spend all my time right next to them when it does.

Fair's fair.

I used to joke -" I wouldn't mind if my man was a cross dresser, as long as his stuff wasn't better than mine"
I used to be a Samaritan and we had to do training which would prepare us to be able to speak on the phone to people with all kinds of problems and on one of the training days we had one session where the two men who took the session were both cross dressers - one of them had gone further and was having gender re-alignment. They were both very intelligent men with good careers and they were both lovely people. It was helpful to be able to ask them questions and they were very open and honest in their replies.
I am on another social networking site and I have had a couple of cross dressers send me messages. I actually met up with one of them for coffee - in his normal clothes, I hasten to add. I found him very attractive and I liked him but after our first meeting he had the notion that he could come to my house , presumably for sex as he most defintely was heterosexual, , and I refused. I didn't hear from him again after that.
When I was chatting on msn with him he kept sending me all these photos of him "dressed" as he called it. This seems to be something that cross dressers like to do, it's almost a fetish with them.
I think there are a lot more men out there indulging in this pastime than most people realise.

well from what i've read in this post and in general is that people in the united kingdom(both men and women) are more accepting of crossdressers than they are here in the united states.i think that is a good thing and i wish that americans were more tolerant of those who choose to dress and/or act different.we are such an open society but for some reason we are embarrassed or shamed into this mainstream mentality that pretends to be morally above the rest of the world.in some cases we probally are but in social issues we are way too conservative.especially in a country that has as much sex and violence in our movies and on television and broken homes as we do .some of it is a backlash that the mainstream has for minorities and homosexuals becase of the special laws/rights that our government has passed to protect those that are different from most.it does not help that the over educated university professors and hollywood elites back the obscure and obscene. in america we are forced to live with fringe and its shoved down our throats .were made to "accept" the fringe because the law says we have to.

Have to admit to always being amazed at the intolerance and relative prudishness of the Americans, considering, as you say ^^^, the violence and sexual deviances that comes out of the States is horrendous.

The more taboo you make something, the more attractive it becomes.
Look around at the rest of the world where sex is more openly talked about, they don't get half the numbers of rapists and paedo's that we get in the UK.

And cross dressing is not a sexual deviance, it's (comparatively) very rarely done by those purely seeking "sexual thrills".
Again another problem we have, assuming sexual perversions/deviations of those who are simply choosing to be different.

i do agree with strider about this.i'm not saying everyone is like this but a person with fetish or kink seems to be willing to take it too more extremes the more that society sees it as taboo.

for instance a straight fetish crossdresser besides crossdressing may want to be dominated by a woman or be feminized by a girlfriend/wife or by a professional dominatrix they pay.this may make their fetish seem more "normal or mainstream"since there are alot of women offering these services online and in real life.

the more we frown upon these things the more extreme they seem to become.

I feel if its something a person enjoys then go for it. It is not hurting anyone and it is just clothing after all. It doesn't change who you are underneath it all. However I find men who are not unfront about this kink is being dishonest to any women whom may not be open minded to it and will feel they have decieved once they find out. Everyone has the right to choose whom they feel is right for themselves.

To each to their own, as long as they don't borrow my tops and put unsightly bulges where there shouldn't be any!

The barely ever mentioned downside to cross dressing is the risk of starving to death because you cant stop yourself fiddling with the fake boobs too

Not sure I would want to risk it :)
