Sigh. I haven't posted on any threads yet so It's going to be great when people view my profile and see this as the only topic I've contributed to. Especially since I'm not here looking for sex or a date! Oh well.

In any case I have an oral fixation so I thought I'd be able to offer some insight on the topic.

Ultimately women should do whatever makes -them- feel comfortable. This is an area of the body 80% of women are already self-conscious about, so anything that lets them feel more comfortable with what they're doing should really take priority. That doesn't mean guys shouldn't tell women their preference. Simply knowing what you like can be great for a lot of girls and help give them that comfort. Now on to my opinion.

Like I said I have an oral fixation, and as such I'm not really a huge fan of women shaving unless they have tiny pores! Waxing is much better, but I hate getting a tender face injury that can only be explained as "beaver rash". This usually only happens when the girl skips a day or two of shaving, but shaving every day sounds like a lot of work! Aesthetically I think the hair looks better, but only if it's maintained. (My aesthetic preference really only comes from personal experience though as the people that have been shaved have been less mature and wholesome people FOR ME. That's an important note, the "for me" part, as I'm 100% sure this isn't the norm.)

As for brushing your teeth with a comb... I really don't run in to the hair issue often. Run a hand across it before you start doing anything and you've cleared the way for good times. If you do get some hair in your mouth just catch it early before it gets back far enough that you have to induce vomiting to get it out. Yeah, those little bishes can be a pain if they latch on to your mouth and avoid getting grabbed, so just try not to let them get that far.

My personal favorite grooming practice was a girl that trimmed to keep things from going hippie-wildside, but also conditioned the remaining hair. Yeah, sounds strange, but it's soft and gentle and comfortable for everyone. This could result in 4+ hour sessions of tongue lashing with no adverse side effects! As this isn't a practice I see much, I thought I'd share.

Again though, this part of the anatomy is meant for pleasure (hers, not yours!) so whatever makes her happy is priority #1.

OK I can not walk away from this post...I tried but can't do it. But let me state this is me I don't care what anyone thinks it is a thing for me.

A woman that shaves that thang(I spelled it right so keep quite over the spell check) to ME is the sexiest thing she could do for ME. The skin until that fur is so soft...so sensitive so why waste that area of from being able to feel the pleasure that a woman can feel. But again this is MY thoughts. To be clean shaven all over (armpits, legs, beaver) is my biggest turn on. Now most guys just do not understand a females mind and how they want to FEEL! One of the most intelligent men to share their wisdom for other men to learn from is David Slade. His stuff is real and very fulfilling for any woman that her guy has taken the time to become a true lover not just another Wham Bam Thank You ma'am (selfish lover). I am not on the planet to worry about what men think of me...I am not here to worry about impressing anyone...I am here to live my life to the fullest and to be someone a female would never forget.

Any female that shaves to ME her body now looks like the statues of a Greek Goddess....curves....soft....smooth...sensual! So if she is going to do that for ME then I should deliver to her the most incredible passion, emotions and orgasms that she has EVER experienced. But that is just ME.

To each there own comes to mind. It seems to me that you had a real good time. I would be there in a second. Love to be naked in nature. If I come accross a woman that is smooth and soft I would love it !! I was married for 21 years and nudity only happened in the bedroom and in the dark. I have had better sex with myself. lol

Well, as far as I am converned, it's just you. Of course, I don't think women are doing it simply because it's "stylish", and that isn't why I like them to do it - many of us simply don't like hair, we like smooth. And unlike head hair, it isn't attractive looking hair either.

"down there"? are all of you too scared to type VAGINA? are we all 10 years old and the word vagina might upset our delicate sensibilities? ugh.

Actually, what bothers me is the use of the term vagina instead of vulva. The vagina is entirely inside the body and certainly needs no shaving. Interestingly, I never heard anyone say penis instead of testicle. But vagina instead of vulva, all the time.

I intend on giving my teen daughter some guidance in this area....my mother NEVER taught me or talked to me about how to keep myself neat and trimmed...not necessarily shaven clean, but trimmed...it wasn't until COLLEGE on spring break, in a bikini...that one of my girlfriends mentioned to me that I might want to take care of some of the strays...it was embarrassing, but from that point on, I was more careful...I do NOT want my daughter to suffer what I went through...my boyfriend never mentioned anything, so I never knew any differently...

As I grew older, I realized that I feel better mentally and physically when I am clean shaven. I have no misguided notion that doing this will make me "hot" like the younger set...I don't really care to try to impress anyone...it's just my preference....

My most recent LTR was the one who gently encouraged me to take it all off...and I am grateful he did....I will never go back....unless of course it is hugely upsetting for my next LTR....the things we do for the ones we love...it's a small compromise...but until then.....I let my gyno get a giggle once a year...

Perhaps it's just me but I'm really beginning to get bored with grown, so-called mature women who think it's "stylish" to be shaved down below.......

To me, it's such a "fad" amongst some women who may be trying to emulate the younger women they see in porn sites or movies.

I'm not sure why you are assuming that women are doing it to be "stylish" or to emulate younger women.

Did you ever think they might be doing it because they prefer it for other reasons, such as hygeine, etc?

i trim, but don't shave my girlie bits. i've had ingrown hairs and razor rash when i've tried before, and frankly i think boys prefer the look of a neatly trimmed kitty to a shaved one covered in little red razor bumps. some women may like the look or feel of being shaved, but to me a hairless kitty looks prepubescent. each to their own, but it's not for me.

Thanks for backing me up "Crazycurlz"........

This whole "hygeine" argument astounds me.........every woman I know showers twice a day and trust me in saying, an inch of pubic hair isn't a problem with them..........what kind of girls are you guys hanging with that it's a hygeine problem anyways??.......yuck?......my girlfriends have always been freaks about showering even if they don't shave......

Yes but some women still feel cleaner that way. It could be a psychological thing but if its her personal preference, who cares?

I wax it ALL off (I go and have it done.) Just my personal preference. Yes, it is painful but only for an hour. Plus, it simply feels better from my brows all the way down. I am not hairy anyway, but it feels much better to feel clean. To each his/her own. Only hair I have is on my head. :)

i really do not like the prepubescent look,i find it very weird to say the least, so natural, or a good trim, but then i love grown women, that are intelligent , and confident , not to day that women that shave are not, maybe its just my age showing lol

That is just your preference. Its not about trying to be young! I think pubic hair is disgusting, especially in the summer when u sweat alot. I like to be clean shaven and expect the same from my man. Nothing to do with feeling young. Some people love jungles and some people love semi-jungles. Myself I don't like pulling pubic hair from between my teeth. Everyone with hair don't jump in the shower before sex everytime. If someone asked that of me I would be offended. Getting my fingers caught in someone's pubic hair does nothing for me.

Sometime in the 90s it became vogue for women to shave pubes. Some older women will state they have shaved their pubes before that. If that is true they are either lieing or are outliers--that simply wasn't regular everyday behavior. Hygiene is wonderful, but does that mean 80s women didn't know better? Or that they weren't hygenic in some way? Of course not. Man-scaping became vogue about the same time people began to cover themselves with tattoos, sometime late in the 90s.

Oh wow...another one of the misguided panty police ..my first boyfriend asked me in 1979 is I would shave and I did. While I loved what it was like for *us, I hated going anywhere where someone else might see, ie OB-GYN, or public restrooms.

It is a personal preference and one that once you try it and see how it feels is hard to go back to...I personally like being hairless from the eyelashes down!

It's just a damn fact that practically no woman was bare in the 80s. Of course women waxed or shaved themselves so they wouldn't get weird looks at the beach. That doesn't mean they routinely meticulously groomed their hoohoo to be bare. It just wasn't a common practice.

And you know this damn fact cause you were the panty police? You are an OB-GYN? You cut a peep hole in the ladies shower at the gym? Y

ou accused women on this post of lying if they said they shaved before the 90's and I am asking based on what? What is popular? And what is popular is known by what? Porn?

Seriously dude before you call a bunch of ladies liars you might want to have some facts. Just because you didnt met any women in the 80's who were shaved doesnt mean there weren't women who shaved in the 80's...I have references if you need them. (I can imagine this phone call...hey sugar will you tell the panty police I shaved when you first met me in 82!)

Perhaps you are not aware, but many OB/GYN's advise
patients to remove all pubic hair. Pubic hair traps
moisture and bacteria which can lead to painful
urinary tract infections and vaginal infections.

What a load of utter crap!

My lord, it's hilarious to see the bogus 'science' people will quote to support their ridiculous ideas.

The problem with waxing/shaving is that it really is only silky smooth for a week or two and then it gets prickly. If you go for a wax you're really only supposed to go every 6 weeks. If you shave you can do it daily but then you sometimes get little bumps. My point is that the bare look is great but it is really hard to maintain!
