Too funny! I took the whole hormonal work up testing and my Doc said I have the hormones of a 20 something and would not go through menopause for at least another 20 years! (And Imma working with one ovary!)

But...last night...I told a friend I was gonna go take a bath and then I would call her back. I ended up conking out...about 9ish or so...slept like a baby...woke up at 1 and could not go back to sleep until 5...then slept till 7! But I feel as if I had a full nights sleep.

I honestly think NAPS are a bad thing, now! LOL Even though "they" say power naps are great...they actually make me feel more groggy...I am no good unless I get a full 4 or 5 hours!

Jennie, you promised you wouldn't mention my visit in here

Kat, I dont think power naps are 3 hours long! :
Actually you might want to try to limit them to about 30 minutes, sort of a light sleep, that's the only way i can survive as of late and they work quite well, anything longer than that and i'm still wiped out....

I am a night person and I love staying up late... which is NOT a good thing when you have to get up the next morning at 5:30 am however I don't want to work the later shift....

what can a woman do????

power naps are great but I normally only take 20 minutes, longer than that.. I am sllluuugggggiiiissshhhhhhh

I have a habit of trying to force sleep. I just get up and either read something that isn't too heady or watch a movie on TV or DVD. Maybe it still isn't sleep, but it is better than tossing and turning.

I am learning Qigong and am learning a sleeping form of Qigong soon. I am looking forward to trying it. It would be good to either sleep more soundly or be able to reduce the amount of sleep I need. I'd prefer the latter, but have a feeling the two go together to an extent.

I sure will. As it comes along and I master the techniques, I may email them to those who are interested. I know already that I can meditate and get better rest than I often can from an hour of sleep. I am really looking forward to learning this system. I will keep you posted.

I'm thinkin i need to get someone to give me a reason to stay asleep....

Anyone care to nag me all my waking hours?

I take Melatonin about 9 or so. Sometime I wake in the middle of the night. I agree with jazzmin. Is Eric there or not makes a difference. Normally I watch tv.

MeOuch, get a normal job and you'll be able to sleep at night!

The Melatonin is what I think put me out but now after being up till 2am last night i'm kind of doubting it...? I'm trying to, it's the only thing i can actually take (that wont cause a premature life ending event!)
