Alright folks, post here if you want to join us for the Parade on Saturday; I believe Theresa and I are going to brave the temps and bundle up just for the parade, go home and then nap out the rest of the day to get ready for the party in O'Fallon!!

Hopefully the wind won't be so obnoxious as it is out here right now!

Post here or email us if you're interested.

Just stopped in to say thanks to Kat, Bay, Jai and numerous others who kept my mom in prayers. Her surgery went well today. They removed the left breast and 2 lymph nodes. The lymph nodes will have biopsyies done on them so when she goes to the cancer dr. next week - the dr will know what kind of treatment (chemo/radiations) they will being doing. She is doing good and her spirits are good. Thanks again!!!

Have fun down at Mardi Gras and at the party this weekend!!!

Just talked to Todd earlier and he was thinking about getting Hillbilly Authority for the St Pats party, Lance. Apparently, Oaces and Hazzards share ownership.

But I said no. :O(

Sorry! LOL

Hillbilly Authority isn't THAT bad, Kat ~ I actually enjoy them for something different!

I have a list of bands I could send ya (non country) if you want them!

Cammie, good news!!

Hillbilly Authority is not BAD AT ALL! :O) But it is not the best band for the majority in a larger party...they are great for the smaller getogethers. :)

Sheesh....don't burn me at the stakes! LOL Light spankins' are suitable!

Well, can't always assume what the crowds prefer. I don't care much for typical country music when I go out, but Hillbilly Authority is in a league of there own in this area. Far from typical and rock out better than any band I have heard in the last year! Those that don't care for country music may not claim them as their favorite, but they say they are enjoyable, especially when they are with people that are having a great time with it.

Sometimes you just have to try something new and different than the same old stuff.

I am not assuming anything....

Obviously, with 1.5 years of hosting parties for POFers under my belt...I DO ask for input, and past input has shown that the majority prefer a classic rock, cover, dance sort of band.

It's just like I know that most prefer a band over a DJ.

I try not to assume anything...you know what they say about such!

I thoroughly enjoyed Hillbilly Authority the couple of times I have seen them! And I despise country music...always said it was great lyrics wasted on bad tunes! LOL

Speaking of killer bands....

Guilty Pleasure (formerly DGM Band) is at JPs Corner tomorrow (Fri) night!

American Bleach is at Crazy Horse Saloon all weekend!!

Dick & Jane/Jam Central Station at TOP Fri/Sat respectively.

Hollywood 5/Bitter Pill at The Phoenix Fri/Sat respectively.

Joe Dirt/Malcome Blitz at HOR Fri/Sat respectively.

Da, da, da, dats all I have folks!

I thought it was just me with my diminishing hearing. I am getting good at reading lips! Change is good! I have heard bands that are usually good and they are terrible, I have heard bands that have a poor reputation and they were great. I do like to hear the words just as much as feel the music. I just don't like being pushed away like Saturday's was and a couple months ago at TOP was awful, my jeans were vibrating, that was the only thing that was good that night with the music! I guess with hearing issues I am a little more selective.

Sorry...cannot help but to on that one....as I think *I* definitely qualify as someone with hearing issues!

I agree completely....they sound different, in different venues! Everything seems to have an effect....how crowded a place is...how high the ceilings are, etc.

For me personally, the most important thing with a band is how the work their audience...how well they are at getting them up and on the dance floor and so on. :O)

Trixie, Just Mr, American Bleach, ScatterCatt, and MANY others....awesome!

Hey Denise...I have so many on my contacts...I list the bars and bands I have as friends. :O) Anything I can do to help...I just do it when I don't see others already have. But of course we got a killa killa partay tomorrow!

Yes I know. My youth didn't help, shooting guns etc did a lot of damage that is making things worse now. Don't care for my options down that line. No where near you issue!

Most don't dance till they get a few in them and the ones that don't drink wait till there are others already out there. Yes, some bands just don't have the personality. Just Mr was loosing their touch the last few times I have heard them. Too many personell changes I guess. Damon still has his fans though! I heard Tony is doing alright with his change.

Thanks all! Still adjusting... but in time, in time.

I think short hair looks awesome on some...just depends on the person, the face shape, etc....but I think I am more of a long 'do sort! LOL

Chaz has been out of town for work...thought he would be back by this weekend...hope so! Sherry...ask Mark! Make sure he is ok for us all!

I did get an email back from Chaz. Thanks everyone!

Great night out at O'Aces! It was 43 minutes exactly from my driveway, NO speeding. Not a bad little trip for such a great evening! Hillbilly Authority was awesome as usuall and I think they changed up a few things and added some different songs that I hadn't heard them play in the past!

Brenda! I am so glad you came all the way down to have fun with us! Sheila, Jessica? and Kelly! Wow! Kelly looked so prim and proper, librarian proper for the 1st hour.. then she let loose and couldn't stop smiling! Gayle & "Nicki" it was great meeting you both also! Joe, I hope you enjoyed the entertainment! Thanks for coming out to play!

And now tell us... who had the peach fuzz brass balls? I told you I wouldn't use your name....
