Rosie, only rarely do i cross threads and repost but this one i thought you might like,
we all know what happens when we seem to live at the end of every sentence..rather than proactively (what happens if your first action is always a reaction)

Life in the Objective Case

power ponders force of will
control the choice
no matter what is chosen
winning is a matter of what you get now
and whats left to seek next time
finding ways to frame freedom's illusion
red pill or black ,planting placebos
for a crop of contentment

what hands move the mountain
the comfort in knowing lies
proportional to your distance
in time, name or money
from the bottom of the pyramid
where all the slaves now slumber
framing a last thought
ending in silence

you think its about you
all of this
despair isnt symptomatic
of the disease of life
nor is death more than a door
the drama of your destiny
has everything in common
with the fish left flopping on the shore

as you sacrifice on every altar,
praying that its more

Ah....
Posted: 11/4/2008 11:32:02 PM
I just had a feeling of such humbling, heartfelt emotion
watching Obama and his wife connect and smile just before leaving the 'stage'
and watching tears rising in some of the audience's faces....
the emotion just filled me with how phenomenal this really is.....
and I said to Obama (the freeze frame of his smile and wave)...
I said to him...'Well done, you did it.'

Now the work begins, of course....but at least we have a chance now.

Much love to all....
and now back to sleep, trusting the country did as it was meant to.....
still praying it's not false hope, though......time will tell,
yet it feels so strongly that there is much potential for real change now
in the direction it must go......

battle fatigue
better build more hospitals
and take care of our soldiers
more psychitrist needed
or start a draft
get rid of red tape for health benefits
because the pyrmid of our soldiers
is being crushed by
the self interest of the rich
and powerful
who have the masses
believing we are pissing
into the wind of fear
BULLSHIT

and so the pendulum swings
negative force yields to positive
our jobs, my friends
are to collectively get behind
that pendulum and keep it
from swinging back...ever

as i stood in line
the thought in my mind
was the beauty
of so many various types of people
with the right.....the freedom
the choice
to have a voice

today
i'm not sure what to say
to the hatred and anger that i've seen
coming from every which way and in between

are we READY for a black American president?
and, yes, i KNOW that it isn't JUST a color thing
but now that he's been elected, it seems folks are being pretty mean

on both sides
and i want to run and hide...

just because the cycle continues on...
to the tune of an unknown song

and no matter where we all "be"
there's too much unhealed anger and animosity

and too many folks who are exactly the same
are always looking for someone else to blame...

if they don't "fake it"
how long will it take it

to fall apart?

(....been a rollercoaster of a couple of days.....at the election places folks were peaceful....but later, as the president was announced, i witnessed 2 fights over such....and, today, it continued.....and, honestly, it just breaks my heart that there's so much pride and anger in this world...period....i don't care how frilly froo froo that sounds...and irregardless of who voted for who...i'd just like to see a little more tolerance, and alot less pride....not that i'm even close to perfect....anywhoo...i had to get that offa my chest...)

i'm so sorry, ash, you witnessed strong emotions of those having a hard time with this 'miracle'.....here i have not seen any fights or heard even a tiny speck of negativity or anger and i've been out twelve hours today working two jobs with the public.....really it's been quite an amazing energy around here ....people were all in the most wonderful moods.....no one complained about anything......there was a lightness in their step and even things that might normally cause stress did not show....not even on their faces or in their voices when they thought no one was watching or listening.....
yes we're ready.......more than ready.....it's necessary finally to break the illusion that white is superior...that anyone is superior

Sorry have three songs that I like listening to when I'm in love. Here they are.

Song 1

It's a little bit funny this feeling inside
I'm not one of those who can easily hide
I don't have much money but boy if I did
I'd buy a big house where we both could live

If I was a sculptor, but then again, no
Or a man who makes potions in a travelling show
I know it's not much but it's the best I can do
My gift is my song and this one's for you

And you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world

I sat on the roof and kicked off the moss
Well a few of the verses well they've got me quite cross
But the sun's been quite kind while I wrote this song
It's for people like you that keep it turned on

So excuse me forgetting but these things I do
You see I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue
Anyway the thing is what I really mean
Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen

Song 2

Something in the way she moves,
Attracts me like no other lover.
Something in the way she woos me.
I don't want to leave her now,
You know I believe in how.

Somewhere in her smile she knows,
That I don't need no other lover.
Something in her style that shows me.
I don't want to leave her now,
You know I believe in how.

You're asking me will my love grow,
I don't know, I don't know.
Stick around, and it may show,
But I don't know, I don't know.

You know I love that woman o' mine.
And I need her all of the time.
Know what I'm telling to you.
That woman, that woman that make me blue.

Something in the way she knows,
And all I have to do is think of her.
Something in the things she shows me.
I don't want to leave her now.
You know I believe and how.

Song 3

And I'd give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now
Verse 2

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight
Chorus

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
Verse 3

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything seems like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know your alive

Chorus

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
Chorus

I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am

What is fear but that which we have witnessed
or that which we are not comfortable with
What is hope but that which we have not seen
or that which we have yet to see manifested
What is grace but the allowance that we give to one another
An allowance that serves to recognize that we have walked the same or similiar path
and/or are grateful that we have not
What is dignity but that which we allow to others as we do to our own
Peace is attainable as hope is manifested and dignity graces the up and coming

I watched you as you were cleaning
the porch-light glass.
I switched my backpack blower off,
slid the blower off my shoulders
and set it on the grass.
I walked across the street
my eyes fixed on your thin lacy form.
You wore your red hair up
tied with a blue kerchief.
I was no more than 10 feet away
and I said hello.
You turned and with a budding smile
and cheerful eyes you said
hello.
And I saw a white daisy open in fall.

Hi Rose
Just a customer who is MARRIED. But she is very kind and religious and was on her deathbed last spring. Conjuctive heart valve and anyway just a very nice person, like a daisy. But extremely cute...

finding love in the simple things
in moments that come stepping through life
feeling one'ness reading here late at night
seeing love in every word, in every write
heart overflows when love's energy takes flight
soaring on wings sometimes folded in tight
when opening them does not take effort or might
just a simple word, or hug, or smile showing our light

Why Thankya Darlin'... reckon I'm a man of few words...

I specialize in the Six Word Stories... a genre I really enjoy...

eg...

Inate Stallion. Skittish Mare. Foaled Again.

Happy Day, Darlin', and thanks again fer the welcome.

rosie....
just speaking my truth
when it comes to me

and the earth opened wide
and swallowed me whole
with all my fear and pride

and then threw me up again
into the arms spread high
of humanity to catch me

new life
so amazing
a dream
a wonder
the emerging
of love
with cries
like thunder
a joy to behold
and to cuddle
and touch
so happy for you rose
as you'll be blessed
so much!

waiting...

as it twists and turns
infectious with its acid burns
and we
hurting
often seek to blame
seldom understanding
life is just a game
a game of joy and happiness
sometimes bits of hurt
focus on the good times
rest is just the dirt
always something waiting
butterfly on wing
faded dying garden
where nightingales still sing
enjoy every moment
both the good and bad
for often they will turn
into the best you ever had
..
.
Hallmark over now
