Oh Rose, what a wonderful poem. I love it too much for words.

nothing like a grandchild
to steal your heart away
past and future entwined
to create a picture
of tender love

can i hug you all
in this heart opening ball?
the walls became
transparent
and then disappeared
as babies were held
to their nana's ears
and it's so apparent
for all who come near
light and love
are shining here

I am a listener
a learner of people
from your soul
you write
allowing yourself
to become
vulnerable
bare
so we all can see
your strength
your weakness
your remarkable spirit
the beauty
that is you
thank you

I see a face 10 years younger
I see a girl
I see love without care
I see hope
And in your smile
I see a prayer

Moon Child

This time,
I am the old moon
my daughter the new.

Her belly a lucent sphere
veiled night-shining pearl.

Dreams tangled in her lashes
dark on alabaster skin.

Hearing a newborn's cry;
I rush to her side and
cradle her child in my arms.

A perfect girl,
heavens breath lingering
on her rose-bud lips.

The sighs of angels
could not be sweeter
or more pleasing.

This child,
shapes my heart as
she lies on my breast.

Your new blessing is 12 days old, right Rose? I hope Olivia is enjoying her baby brother, I know you are

^that's beautiful, T.....

ode to friends......

(written slightly in the style of
that fearless flying wired one :)

friendship is not something
to be sneezed at
when the line has been thrown
but nothing is caught
not a fish nor bottle nor even
an old boot is your loot
but unlike lovers
who seem to come and go
friends can and often do
last a lifetime and so
don't put down friendships
as if they're old news
for it's with friends
who we'll be with
when we're having a snooze
it's friends that will hold you
when you life you will lose
it's friends that will remember you
forever for your best features
and understand the rest
was just part of your specialness

*kewl* words River ^^^

But mostly poetry fills me
with the urge to write poetry,
to sit in the dark and wait for a little flame
to appear at the tip of my pencil.

And along with that, the longing to steal,
to break into the poems of others
with a flashlight and a ski mask.

hehe...liked that write rose...thanx for sharing....word whore, eh?....speakin' of which where the sam hayel IS swan anywayz?

Roses, circle, beauty, life
Concerned not with mild strife
Round the world, and sunrise
Sweet the sound in babie's cries

It just completes the circle, Rosie, and it is content that overwhelms.

Hey Rosie:

Always enjoyed is your writing, indicitive of your depth. Ironically, I was enticed to write a 'love letter', and with your permission granted, it is re posted here. It is about my own Wee One.

My Dearest Princess:

My letter arrives to find you well, I do trust, enjoying that now pleasurable domiciled in. Your bright blues eyes, and cherubic smile, would make the very blossoms of petunias and gardens we shared in springtime, burst forth through the snows of deep winter shrouds of quiet. You are very much missed.

Reminisces of my heart felt longing and desire shall I attempt to present feebily in this written, because you may not express in immmediacy, that I so long for cherished, our communication missed. Begin shall I, with the softness of your skin: rose petals tender, enthralled to the depth of my very soul, at our first meeting. Your eyes , so captivating, the depest blue! Your delicate fingers, touched, encircled about mine in strength belieng your gentleness! Common between us, uniquely shared, that not understood by any Kingdom, my loved Most Precious One.

You have been the inspiration of my artistic expressions, and created have I borne of the spirit of you, my Darling. Indeed, renderings solely about you: expressions that we share in our souls, sacred, understood to none, save and accept us. Oh, my most precious One! How I miss you so much! Confidence is expressed in your contentedness, to be happy, although my heart so aches at our parted. My tears shed shall create the ponds placid upon which we shall sail, canoe upon: when I again enjoy the immense pleasure of your laughter, the touch of your soft hands, and again shall we look into each other's eyes: confident in that shared so unique, and most longingly missed.

All earth's treasures compare not with your love, that ours: yet, all earth's treasures would I gladly spend...to hold you, to see you, to comfort you......that is mine love for you. In confidence, knowing that you are in the Kingdom, I close, until we see each other again,

With kindest loving regards, and fondest best wishes always:

Your loving Father,

(Dad)
xxx ooo

Ironically, I just didn't know where it would fit. It's emotion, however, adn really, that is just what any kind of artistic expression is all about. Thus, you, dear Rosie, are an artist.

I read Bird's poem and cried for Mirindi Euprazi, her children and all the other poor people who have no protection from brutality, rape , murder, kidnapping.

where are the heroes
not in my government
that's for sure

what will lawyers
businessmen and
car salesmen do
but make and manage money

dirty-easy money
makes the world go round
in rarefied atmospheres
of executive privileged

human rights, civil rights
life and death
are simply collateral damage
to bankers concerned
with fiduciary matters
on their important minds

Mirindi Euprazi
and her lost children
pay for this leadership
with their lives
and broken family

where are the heroes
are
they
you
and
me

I can try to fix the world,
but I will fail,
or I can reach out,
and touch one person,
hoping to spread a moment
that will carry the fuel of love
in all directions,
I do not focus on what is wrong,
but on what is right!
I do not wait for tomorrow
to practice today's grace,
minimize the sadness,
maximize the joy,
and watch the miracle happen!

Love ya Rosie.!

Rose, Dear One:

If I may, presented are mine thoughts on freedom, so ardently fought for. What a garden you have created here, much admired.

Freely expressed, desire to take up sword and fight!
Nurtured every citizen, in comfort for, THAT RIGHT!
Battled weary, uniforms worn in longings missed
Cherished, sweet ones, now nevermore kissed.

Save in the freedom for youth have died!
Free last gasps were in battle fought cried!
Cried from the grave and spirits haunt still!
Died for we, that all should have freedom will!

Censoreship, is the tool of deceit.

Obviously, not a 'fan' of that, personally.

Rosie, write on.

Hi Rose!

cold snows blow, grasping
windows rattle, thorns cast fire
roses' branches warm

Rose, you warm me. You are the eternal flower. Many thorns must be pricked by, before appreciation is fully admired.

Since I see the beauty, it is suggested that finally, I have grasped enough thorns! Lol!

Lost to unlost,
climbing the catacombs
of black minds,
pearls of wisdom
bleeding the way,
directionless wanderings
of sightless eyes,
led by droplets
to the goblet of truth
now tarnished,
quickly cast aside
for the next goblet,
with it's sparkle and lustre,
lost again!
