But then, to throw a forward lateral.... Saints played better than I thought; but made too many mistakes to overcome.

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 1/13/2014 4:19:18 PM | If Brees had to play every game outdoors, no-way he gets in the HOF. | |
|
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 1/14/2014 6:46:30 AM | Imo, the New Orleans Saints & Drew Brees learned some valuable experiences in the these last playoff games….as did the Panthers, Colts,KC, Bengals, Chargers... in what it takes to win in pressure filled Playoff Games. Imo all will be back in the hunt next year….
And I just heard that Brees has said he will take less pay to stay under the salary cap to stay with the Saints.
As that can be, to continue in the right direction as a whole….

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 1/14/2014 11:43:50 AM | Sorry Pete, Skoochie I should have been more precise and said outdoors playing below 32 freezing temperatures. But then again no QB plays every game in those conditions. | |

Oh, I get it, MGM, you were talking about if Brees played in the imaginary Siberian Football League.
Brees will be fine….as he is in the top 5 QB's in the NFL…….And with this playoff experience he can only get better…. You fans are lucky to have a first rate QB in the NFL.
And fyi…a warm climate team can beat a cold weather team…. just ask the Greenbay Packers record on dat when they played at home… ^^^^ That use to be the tag but not any more… As these guys [NFL] can do it in any place or any climate.
And As for Tony Romo, the pride of Burlington,WI. methinks he might still remember & probably forget his roots there….& light years behind Brees……jmo

Panthers receiver, Steve Smith, is on the prowl. I think he's visiting Baltimore today and the Saints tomorrow. Hoping he goes to the Saints 'cause I've always liked him and the Birds have no chance of making the SB next year.

When I get back home from Cowboys training camp I'll post the new Thread 2014 Weekly wins and Won/Loss Records with the Week 1 matchups.

I'm not sure what's going on with the kicking situation. They went all preseason with a battle between these two kickers only to let them both go a week before kickoff?
They're probably just waiting for someone they think can do the job better to get cut. For instance, the 'Skins drafted a kicker this year in the 7th round (only kicker drafted) who has looked really good this preseason, but the guy we've had the past two years, Kai Forbath, is one of the more accurate kickers out there (35/40 in 2 seasons). Only reason there was a competition is because Forbath can't kickoff through the endzone consistently. Forbath is on the roster today and this kid , Kocher, is out there, cheaper than a veteran.

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 9/14/2014 3:06:05 PM | somebody has a flat on their bandwagon with a major overhaul needed on defense hehe
better get it fixed quick or they'll be no playoffs for 2014
|
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 11/1/2014 7:45:31 AM | we don't speak so loudly now-a-days
but at least the saints are healthy and experienced at qb
.500 might win that division

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 11/8/2014 4:58:19 PM | Not really a Saints fan, more of a Drew Brees fan to be honest. | |
|
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 11/8/2014 7:44:10 PM | Not a saints fan at all but also like Brees...Tomorrow is a huge game for both teams. Niners are a team that if they lose, they are DONE this year and the in-fighting will get really bad and harbaugh will be coaching in Michigan or somewhere else next year. Actually, he will be coaching next year some where else for sure. Saints need to try to stay in the playoff race and with the home game for them, I say they will survive for another game to see if they are a playoof team. I think the niners are DONE this year after tomorrow. If niners win, then they will surprisingly stay in the race, no matter the dissention and be a scary team to play,,,Definitely a Jekyll and hyde team | |

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 11/10/2014 3:28:32 PM | 6 catches for Boldin but 5 flat out drops was the 49er's could have been demise. Was a nail biter for sure. | |
|
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 11/25/2014 5:44:04 AM | I never would have thought the Saints would drop three in a row at home. But, at 4-7, they are tied for first in the NFC (gone) South division, and control their playoff fate. It wasn't that long ago that the Seahawks won the NFC West at 7-9; heck' 6-10 may win the NFC South this year! | |
|
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 11/30/2014 10:29:02 AM | I would still take Rob or Rex Ryan as a DC instead of Haslett in a second. | |
|
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 12/1/2014 5:06:45 AM | I agree with vbxtc, in that I'd take either of Buddy's twins over Haslett as DC. I don't think it's a coincidence that both the Jets and Saints defended the Steelers very well. Congrats to the Saints on the rare road victory that keeps them in control of their playoff destiny! | |
|
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 12/21/2014 2:30:49 PM | Sorry pete, and the rest of the Saints fans. Would have NEVER thought they would lose 5 straight home games. Didn't see the Falcons game, but the blow-out home losses to Carolina and Cincy at home were very baffling. At least the Saints losing today guarantees the winner of the NFC South will have a losing record. | |
|
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 12/27/2014 8:40:50 PM | that must be a crying shame and one big embarrassing let down if your a saint fan, after all the hoopla, talk that they were gonna be ok this year.
they better step it up a snitch brees aint gettin any younger
|
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 12/28/2014 8:09:29 AM | has it been 17 years already I aint counting and not as disappointed as you might think. i aint coming in here and boosting how well my team is gonna do then fall flat on my face.
the only disappointment i see will be a loss in todays game, having it ruin the cowboys perfect road record and missing out on a bi in the playoffs. its all good we still have a playoff game at home
have a good day | |
|
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 12/30/2014 5:11:51 PM | its not too late to band wagon jump on over somewhere else we'll all understand
i hear the 49ers are gonna be good next year you can flip over to their side

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 12/31/2014 9:18:19 AM | Saints get another shot at the Cowboys next year 2015 playing at home. Good luck against the Road Warriors. | |
|
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 1/1/2015 8:02:09 AM | all i was asking is what team are you gonna root for since your current team isn't in the playoffs, like a lot of folks do this time of year when their team isn't in. then added that you might wanna jump ship next year, then you have to start with the name calling. just because I'm a cowboy fan? no because yes we do go back several years. I'm sorry sir but you can't hurt my feelings i only see the pity in you and the coward that you are | |
