Well where do i start? Well i have met few men and it seems they lie, they say they want a relationship and then you meet them and they want a F-friend. What is up with that? Or on their profile they put endless possibilties and want sex. I don't know where most of these men come from but obviously not in the same world i am in. Yes it is fine to want sex but when someone tells you they are not like that and want to persue to meet you although they know that is not what they want, that is not right. I met another man and we both like each other and we still talk but how do you get them to start anything with you after you met? Especially when we are both afraid of what might come out of this site. I don't know what to expect.

You ask a man when you first talk to them what are they looking for and they say a relationship and after you meet them you ask the same Q and they say i don't know or they don't persue anything. What are you suppose to think? I honestly am very surprised to hear that ppl off her actually find a relationship.

Ive learned that most of the ladies I may be compatible with live so far away.

nearly a thousand posts and no lady has bashed me at the forums..only some men...I wonder why ???

I am glad for the frienships I have formed on here.

I've learned that the women's profiles that I really like are all very far away from here. Mostly Canada. Closest one is 8 hours away.

Not to trust everyone until you know for sure they are tellin the truth...I meet my ex online we dated for 4yrs...we started off as friends....we talked for 4months on the computer & phone everyday then we finally meet & I thought I knew everything about him....I was wrong after a yr we moved in wit each other & it went down hill from there...

I also dated a guy for five months who I meet online...we talked for 3years yes 3years as friends just talking...then we decided to take it further & he moved closer to me... he is a great person but hes a lier too...I dont like liers so I left him..

So now...well I can't trust anyone till they prove to me that he can be trustworthly....I always trust my intuition now when it comes to online dating....cause it seems like when I dont trust my intuition is when they turn out to be liers or not an honest person...the internet it a great way to act out who you would like to be...truthfully I have nothing to hide so I'am as real as they come...

So what have I learned?
I take everything wit a grain of salt...pay attention to every word they say....pay attention to their reactions & the tone in their voice...be honest wit yourself & always trust your intuition...don't let anyone take you for a ride...lifes to short to waste time on someone that is just frontin....

I believe actions speak louder then words....so be real!

Oh yeah, I am with you on the
sometimes thick flow of back patting and sucking up between the self appointed "kings&queens" of the forums brings me to the point of nausea

I can only read so much of "aren't I just the sexiest, smartest, most wonderful woman over 40 you could ever want to meet (even though my pics are from 1994)" without wanting to hurl. So much for the mods watching for "self promotion" in the threads!

I am EXACTLY what I say I am....bodybuilding brainiac, under-employed, hyperactive and more than passing skittish.
I fail with online dating because I am not...young, hot, easy, willing to screw everyone, posting boob shots.
