Notice: Forums will be shutdown by June 2019

To focus on better serving our members, we've decided to shut down the POF forums.

While regular posting is now disabled, you can continue to view all threads until the end of June 2019. Event Hosts can still create and promote events while we work on a new and improved event creation service for you.

Thank you!

Sure, but it might depend on their agenda. For instance, a "Christian-other" from Utah might have a whole other way of looking at things than a "Christian-other" from South Florida.

On one hand, you might be chatting with an FLDS, on the other a Santeria.

When I first had my profile, I listed myself as "Christian-other" because I can best be described as an "Existentialist Gnostic Christian with Tibetan Buddhist Tendencies Who Chants in Sanskrit." Hmmm.....

But, I changed it to Buddhist to weed out the politico-religiosos. I figure if they're OK with Buddhism, then they're probably OK with a wider, more encompassing view. Too bad there is no Unitarian choice. That would probably best describe me.

And I thought I was following along there for a moment...but now I have to say...HUH?

I've found "Christian - Other" means they're were raised with Christian beliefs but don't go to church any more and are afraid that the label "Nonreligious" will make them look like an immoral devil worshiper.

I go to the Quaker Friends Meeting in my area, and since there was no choice for that I clicked Christian-Other. I also put something about it my profile to weed out the Super Christians :)
