Sure, but it might depend on their agenda. For instance, a "Christian-other" from Utah might have a whole other way of looking at things than a "Christian-other" from South Florida.
On one hand, you might be chatting with an FLDS, on the other a Santeria.
When I first had my profile, I listed myself as "Christian-other" because I can best be described as an "Existentialist Gnostic Christian with Tibetan Buddhist Tendencies Who Chants in Sanskrit." Hmmm.....
But, I changed it to Buddhist to weed out the politico-religiosos. I figure if they're OK with Buddhism, then they're probably OK with a wider, more encompassing view. Too bad there is no Unitarian choice. That would probably best describe me.
And I thought I was following along there for a moment...but now I have to say...HUH?
