Fishies Float Trip on the Huzzah Jun 12-14thPage 7 of 8    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)
Anyone else having problems with POF last nite, It was down i'm guessing. Anyway only a cpl more days . If you need to share a canoe or raft please post it on here so you can have it set up by saturday float. If you are getting a raft, you have to take off one man for your coolers, it says a 10 man raft, you can find 10ppl on it but wont have room for your coolers, just a little info for the new floaters.

I just called Ozark, they still have a bunch of rafts left, If any of you want to get together to rent a raft, either post on here or send me an email. We can figure out what size you need, but someone is going to have to reserve and pay for it, then collect money from the others. I wish there was a different way but that's how Ozark doe's it. Also take 2 ppl off what ever size raft you need, 10 man holds 8, 8 holds 6, 6 holds 4, 4 holds 2. Its stupid but thats how all the rentals place's work it.
Anyways let me know and see what i can do in a short time left.

Does anyone know if it is alright can you canp without doing the floating thing. I would really like to come and camp , cookout, and just chill. I don't think I can do the floating thing , don't have a life vest and I've heard you really need one. T or F

Sure you can just camp if you'd like, the float is not mandatory lol. If you want to float i think i could dig up a life jacket. If you go to the web page you'll see its a vey nice place to just camp and chill out. They have a swimming pool, a little food shack and even a 1 mile tube float just around the resort(big resort). Also just before you cross the river you pass Onondaga cave. Took the kids there, its pretty neat. Would advise to wear a jacket and shoes, its about a mile walk in the cave and about 58 degrees.

HEY Sinlov it is true you must have a life saver in the boat with you and for everyone in the boat its a federal and a state mairtime law.But as the law state's you don't have to wear them as long that you have them.Ozark out doors provide's PFD(PERSONAL FLOATATION DEVICE) for everyone that rents thier boats, rafts and kayaks so if you want to paddle there is no needs to bring one.

Thanks for the reply. Will try to get there afternoon. I hope I remember how to set the tent up I have camped twice somewhere in Steelville. Had a trip down river in which the raft ran out of air and it took all day in the hot sun to get down the river. It was Pure Hell. What I need to find it a pump for the air matress. Don't mind paddling as long as someone knows what there doing

For all the stragglers that are coming alone, soon after you check in, come over to my site 1618 and give me your name, where your camping, and what you want to float in. I see what i can do about matching ppl up. The resort would really like to know the day before the float so they can get the stuff up to the put in point and be ready for you. I cant promise rafts the day before, just might get lucky.

I got to thinking about it more last night, lets see I can't talk my boys into going with me and its only me, then I thought about ( I ccould cook for everyone or at least those who provided me with something I needed. ) I don't know... the cooler is too small for everything I want to bring. Maybe I will just cook something before I leave , that I just have to heat up. I have got to get goingggg. Oh yeah still fell for a peach cobbler and a watermelon from schnucks.. The tequilla Quevo Gold type was on sale for $14,99 from 20.00 Was looking reaaal hard at it but it was before six o'clock am couldn't get it. Someone is more than welcome to pick it up LOL
