I guess the question is kind of two sided. Angry music is good for when you're pumped up and working out frustration... I too like ambient and instrumental for when calming down.

The rock version of the Slovenian National Anthem puts me in a good mood.

If I hear you knocking hard up on my door
Ain't no way that I`m gonna answer it
'Cos cheating is one thing and lying is another
And when I say it`s over that`s it I`m gonna quit yeah
Now I ain't complaining, just tryin' to understand
What makes a woman do the things she does
One day she`ll love you the next day she`ll leave you
Why can`t we have it just the way it used to be
'Cos I`m a man, I got my pride don't need no woman to hurt me inside
I need a love like any other
So go on and leave me, leave me for another
Good lovin' gone bad, good lovin' gone bad, good lovin' gone bad and
Baby I`m a bad man
Makes a good Man Anthem to any man that got screwed over and wants motivation to get back on his feet.

I guess the question is kind of two-sided.
Well... yes and no.

if im pn a pissy mood i usually listen to phobia, magrudergrind or the endless blockade.
grind and power violence has a good metal heavy, punk fast and all together pissed off feeling that makes you want to break things.then again theres nothing like good old hardcore too.or pantera.

Here should be your #1...PANTERA!!!! The lead singer, Phil Enselmo, never really did the stupid gutteral noises that noone can understand, heard in bands like, Carnifex, suicide silence, the crappy no talent bands among those unsavory 2 unfortunatley plague music today and the list goes on, but enough about why "they" suck. Pantera combines the best of many worlds, Enselmo can bring through a completley pissed the F**k off voice, while being understood, you can actually understand what he's saying, drums are awesome(Vinnie Paul) and last but certainly not least, Dime bag Darrel (RIP) his guitar playing was absolutley sick, to say the least! listen to cemetary gates, If you like angry music, metal, look no further, unfortunatley, they are disbanded(literally) but their sound, and unsurpassed take on heavy metal, I think is hard pressed to be beaten, let alone matched.

Huummm... depending on the mood, it could be anything from Tool to Andrea Bocelli!
Posted: 3/5/2009 2:10:57 AM
The only word I can use to explain your post is: "Wow"
I love Johnny Cash no doubt... but I'd rather listen to Lamb Of God when I'm un an ungodly f*****g fury rather than the man in black. It helps vent frustration, not induce more. I listen to it all the time and I haven't hurt anyone, I don't use ANY drugs and I rarely RARELY drink.
It's all good championshipism!

When I was younger, Alice Cooper's Killer album. Ironically, now I listen to it when I'm mellow or feeling nostalgic. Now it's Pink's Mizunderstood album.

I find that symphonic blackmetal makes me feel better. It may seem strange,
but that style of music is so beautiful to my ears.( and no, not all blckmetal bnds are into the whole evil thing).
Nightwish also puts me in a great mood as well.

right now the main song I listen to when I'm angry is "Your World On Fire" by In Fear and Faith. It changes often though so whatever. There are way to many bands for me to list.
Posted: 3/6/2009 10:32:31 AM
Flotsam and Jetsam
...the list goes on and on
Posted: 3/7/2009 5:50:10 PM
My music choice really depends upon WHY I'm angry in the first place. If it's because of a guy, usually "Payback" by Flaw, "Love Stinks" by the J. Geils Band works (I know... cliche), "The Bleeding" by Five Finger Death Punch, "Goodbye" by Gravity Kills, or maybe "You" by Candlebox.
If I'm just generally pissed off at the world, you'll definitely hear "Freedom" by RATM, "The Idiots Are Taking Over" by NOFX, "Change" by Candlebox, "New Dark Ages" by Bad Religion, and "Tear Away" by Drowning Pool screaming out of my speakers. Also, just about anything by Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails, and Stabbing Westward will also help me vent.

Tool...Maynard may be angry and some ppl think his lyrics are harsh but he is real, not afraid to express feelings and his music makes me think.I think he is a genius

Don't forget 'SIKTH' The ultimate new age metal band.
Strapping are good for anger management too :P
But hang on....Doesn't metal enhance the anger?
Should try some 'Adiemus' Instead :P
