Don't forget 'SIKTH' The ultimate new age metal band.

Strapping are good for anger management too :P
But hang on....Doesn't metal enhance the anger?
Should try some 'Adiemus' Instead :P

ANACRUSIS!! Finally, someone else loves Anacrusis as much as I do!

I also like Slayer for when I'm angry. Older Metallica works, too. Rage Against the Machine is perfect for letting out aggression, too!

For me, its Opeth, Death, Bloodbath, or Devin Townsend when I'm pissed... or when I'm in a good mood... or when I'm sad... ok so I listen to stuff like that all the time

When it come's to "angry music" in my own relative sense, I think of:

Dying Fetus
Bad Luck 13 (one of the most destructive bands I've ever seen)
...and many more

When I'm super pissed off I listen to the Ramones first album. It's fast, loud, rebellious and lyrically it is super violent. The Ramones come off as this peppy band when you first hear them but deep down they are a musical menace. Dead Kennedys works for me when I'm angry. Godsmacks first and second albums. Especially songs like whatever, awake, greed, sick of life ect... Cannibal corpse has some songs like Cauldron of Hate, I will kill you ect.... Those work when I'm super angry. But if I need to calm down I put on Exodus by Bob Marley. Great album! Or Mothership connection by Parliament. That is relaxing to hear. -Dre

Alot of folks on here mentioned metal. This may sound weird but I listen to the heaviest stuff to relax and go to sleep too. when I'm angry I want something softer. I'd hate to see what would happen if I was mad and suddenly Altar of sacrifice by Slayer starts playing. It gets crazy enough when I put Godsmack on when my mood is gloomy.

TOOL hands down! It takes me from pissed to horny in like 1 song. I love TOOL!

Only band I ever tried to sacrifice myself in the pit for at Ozzfest one year. MMM MMM Good!!!

Plus they are just bomb in general and have some good sh*t to say in their music!

Try listening to Johnny Cash "live from Folsom Prison" next time you are seriously ticked off. It will calm you quickly, and if you have the right brainwaves, you will listen to the words and of what Johnny is singing about.

Songs From My Mother's Hymn Book is also a gorgeous album of his. Just the man in black and a guitar. Rick Rubin produced shortly before June passed on. Just a simply gorgeous album! It soothes my soul.

usually a little Diana Krall, or some Sugarland. Maybe Trisha Yearwood's Love Songs - or Patty Loveless singing about breakin' those chains. The Chicks singing about takin' the long way around, or wide open spaces.

Yeah, I like my country girls & their tunes to sing to, or some Diana or Joni -so I feel cheerier

I used to listen to Machine Head every time someone/something was pissing me off.
Machine Head - White-knuckle Blackout was one of the songs I liked.

Very therapeutic :P

pissed off music works for pissed off moods

Coheed and cambria
Children of bodom
Early project pitchfork

I love the guys posting here that metal isn't music. Go buy a rocking chair and yell at kids on your lawn. This thread is about music to listen to when you're pissed off. What did you expect? I love depeche mode. Am I going to listen to martin gore singing "somebody" when I wanna run people down in my car?

Metal is a reaon a lot of people don't get violent. It releases anger for you. People who can't handle it need to find other outlets

Alrighty. I don't really like list threads so I'll keep it brief.

Krisiun - Southern Storm
Origin - Antithesis
Carcass - Necroticism ~ Descanting the Insalubrious
Autopsy - Severed Survival
Dying Fetus - Destroy the Opposition (anything by them really)
Goreinhaled - The Art of Sickness

Those are some of the bands that can really rile you up, there are few metal bands that can anger me nowadays. If anybody is remotely interested in my listening habits feel free to browse:

Drum & bass techo doesn't come to many people's minds when they think of good, angry music, but I can't think of anything I've heard that's more pissed-off than some of the stuff on Ultra-Obscene by Breakbeat Era, such as "Anti-Everything," "Rancid," and "Our Disease."
