Hey guys, this looks like fun:

http://cincodemayostl.com/

Anyone interested in getting a group together for this celebration, send me a private email! I won't be "available" on the 5th of May (parenthood calls) but this is on Saturday, the 2nd and looks like it could be fun!

Yes Tom, that is where we went many years ago.

They have the Mariachi band on the weekends, it is the owner and ??. I used to hate it whent hey came to our table, but now I have learned to appreciate it unless I am trying to talk with someone. The guys I hang out with in wheelchairs love the place and they like to sing along with them, they are a lot of fun.

Sorry Tom...I cannot take the credit for the info on the 2nd...lol...that was Sue-De!

Sounds fun, by the way...but I heard that they were very low on vendors this year and are desperately seeking more...so might play it by ear, myself. ;O)

Hopping from one authentic place to the next for a little while, but you will still be at the game. I am not sure there is much right there by the stadium anymore.

Soulard was great, thanks to the awesome men at the bar in the nice suits that ended up keeping the pitchers full till long after they left! Plus, my belly is still full! Some of us were trying to decide if was really a banana, a pickle or some type of pepper in disguise! The woman with leotards and a "wife beater" stopped by our table to model for us and our friends with suits!

After that, at St Clair Square the Casa Gallardo... ACTUALLY CHARGED $5 to get into the parking lot!!!!! What a way to lose a customer! Oh joy, that gave me access to 5 johnny on the spots! What a deal! Thank God I didn't need one! I did have an awesome time with a few that I met at the Sharky's party! They claim to be coming out for the party Friday too!

Yummy! Slurp!

My head doesn't hurt, but my foot hurts... I stepped on a little light bulb this morning. Rearranging things getting ready for the move something must have rolled out of it's hiding spot! Made it to work no problem, just a bit sleepy and limping!

Sure, if you enjoyed it and thought of it as Mexican! You can add your own Margarita or Tequilla! I would have to take it home and make one!

Celebrate everything any way that can bring a smile to your face...and hopefully to someone elses!

Especially the drive through!

Hey, never knock time with your current interest! There are times for goin all out classy and times just out of necessity....

I don't need to be waited on for every meal... sometimes I prefer a no intereference meal at my 40 foot long dining table. ..

Depends on the mood, the time, and the hunger level! LOL

There are many times when I might be macking for some Mexican but in no way hungry enough or have the time, to hit up a nicer restaurant...not to mention the money aspect. LOL

Taco Smell is edible...and you can actually make certain things really great, simply by adding jalapenos or a sauce or sour cream! Tis like McDees....how many of us classify THAT as a "good example" of an all American burger...no way! But when in a rush (like last night enroute to the game!) it was handy and I love, love, love their fries when HOT! ;O)

So...speaking of Authentic Mexican...do you like your Margaritas salted, frozen, on the rocks? Fruit, Original (lime), or other?

Lots of salt and light on the rocks! The ice gets in the way! More flavor if not frozen!

Give me a bit of gran marnier in it or something down that line to super charge it!

No cheap tequilla!

Frozen Strawberry Margaritas with salt made with Patron is my favorite, but then again, if they have Jose in them I'll still drink them.

As far as Taco Bell goes, has to be just like White Castles, only after a night of drinking.

The event at the St Louis Gast Haus provided us with some awesome Margaritas for just $3 each! I heard a lot of comments on them from everyone that was enjoying them. I think Don was starting to have a hard time keeping up with making them for us. The neon yellow salt on the rim had a tang of lime in it from what I could tell.
