I also like peanut butter and bacon, but the cucumber can take a hike. I like mine on a toasted bagel.

As a kid, balogna sandwiches were part of the family budget. Hated balogna sandwiches, but loved hot dogs with relish. Added Bread & Butter pickles to the balogna sandwiches, and a star was born.

In a rush one day, late for school, made a peanut butter sandwich and stuck a Hershey bar inside for filling. Probably *shouldn't* have used dark rye bread...

You haven't lived until you try a Pirmanti's sandwich.....

Your choice of meat (hot sausage, roast beef, ham, capicola, etc), egg, french fries and cole slaw slapped between two thick pieces of bread.

Nothing sounds better at 2 AM after you've been drinking all night.

That place gets PACKED on the weekends.

(it's a 'Burgh thing.)

Most definitely the elvis sandwich

you take 2 slices of Texas toast bread, slather peanut butter on both sides, slice up a bannana, put bannana slices in the sandwich, melt one cube of butter in a hot skillet, fry said sandwich in the hot butter slowly for about 5-10 minutes until the bread turns a golden crispy brown and there you have it

The Elvis sandwich

Monte Cristo Sandwich definitely most different sandwich I've ever eaten. It is a fried sandwich with turkey, ham, and cheese etc. It is dipped in a batter and fried and then I had it surved with some kinda rasberry jam or something on side. This was at a restaurant. When friend of mine first suggested trying it I was leary to try, but surprisingly enjoyed it.

peanut butter and banana
peanut butter and cinnamon sugar
peanut butter and blackstrap molasses
tuna, chopped hardboiled egg and cottage cheese mixture - quite tasty
but weirdest for me that I ever thunk up on my own was a chocolate hazelnut spread (Nutella), strawberry jam and cream cheese on multigrain - tasted more like dessert than a sandwich

^^^^^ I don't think this is weird.

And I certainly don't this this is weird:
Toasted fresh baked bread,
crunchy peanut butter on one slice
marshmallow cream on other slice (has to be on 2nd slice as it is too hard to spread if on something else unless microwaved to liquid - too much time and effort)
Bananas, sliced lengthwise, and finally,
jam.

Yes it is a dessert.

TK
{one banana left, bread from yesterday, still have jars of plum and apricot jam from summer -- TK knows whats for lunch tomorrow; must buy marshmallow creme!}

In Australia we have the pleasure of being home to Hunstman Spiders which live in our houses and are mostly as big as your outstretched hand.

In times of famine from droughts its not unusual for some of us to catch one of those spiders, pick its legs off and enjoy the juicy abdomen. Full of goodness. Yum yum!!

Their legs are kept to deep fry. Yum....crunchy.

The spiders' skin is kept for medicinal purposes......spider skin in your eye is good for conjunctivitis, dry eyes and dark circles under the eyes.

The hair from their legs can be made into a paste with the spider's guts or the neighbour's dog dribble. When cooled it can be placed on our faces. The sticky paste is both hairy and thick so can be used in the pubic area if desired.

Hmmm.. two actually. One I learned when I was a kid - a Radish sandwich. Buktter bread, slice radishes in half, line them up on the bread and enjoy. I haven't had one in forever and it sounds good!

The other is one I came up with. Spread peanut butter on one slice of bread, spread Nutella ( a choclate nut spread) then place sliced bananas in the middle. Thkat doesn't sound half bad right now either........
