TVs in bedroomsPage 3 of 4    (1, 2, 3, 4)
Yes. Two TVs in my condo. One in my living room and one in the bedroom. I guess sometimes I like to watch a movie while falling asleep.

I refuse to have a TV in the bedroom. I don't even have cable. I have one TV in my living room that I use to watch DVD's.

I have one in my bedroom also with my video game systems and DVD players (a DVD recorder and combo HD-DVD/Blu-Ray player) hooked up to it.

I don't even have a TV in the house, much less in the bedroom.

If you ever see someone carry a TV into my bedroom, assume I am dead. Or, assume that they don't know that the TV's next stop will be outside the window.

I sure do, what planet is he from? I still use the one in the living room though. The one in my room is good for if I ever got sick couldn't get around or something

I do. I rarely watch it although I often leave on the blue screen while I'm sleeping at night, which is pretty rare as well.

When it dies (it's on its last legs) I won't replace it.

I only have 1 TV in my house. My friends think I'm really weird because of it. I'm getting ready to get rid of that one, too. I know a lot of people who have a TV in EVERY room!

I do - have insomnia and yes, it helps me TRY and sleep. Some say having one is part of the problem but when we had a thunderstorm last summer that knocked out the electricty for 3 hours I thought I would jump out of my skin! Until I grabbed a candle and sat on the balcony and watched the rest of the storm on the lake.

However, I do still watch the news trying to fall asleep, until it's 4am and I notice Barney Fife is trying to load his gun w/the one bullet he's allowed!

I agree, having a TV in the bedroom is not the best idea, but for some of us, it helps.

No NO ~ not the bedroom, that's for sleeping, reading and dressing and stuff!

I enjoy cooking and spend much time there, I'd like one in the kitchen.

Well I started out with one in all 3 bedrooms and living room.
Reason was I had 2 sons living here plus one had his wife and 3 children.
I had to put computer and desk plus TV in my bedroom to have peace.

Now one in living room decided to go out. Middle son and family live elsewhere.
I would love to move the one in bedroom to living room but no one will move it
Presently I use computer in bedroom where I can concentrate. TV is just to the right so
most of the time I never could go to sleep with it on.

No one sleeps in my bedroom but me and sometimes granddaughter.
When she is here I go to 3rd bedroom if I want to watch something besides Sponge Bob or
I Carly.

Nope. We have 4 T.Vs though

Family room
Basement x2
Kitchen

I hardly watch T.V anymore anyways. Nothing worth a hoot is usually on. I watch American Idol and the Biggest Loser, and the new family guy/south park episodes that comes out every week or 2, but other then that there's nothing amusing on T.V. Just a bunch of crap that has 30 billion plot twists.

Yes, I do. I guess I'm a bit odd, because I like having the race or football game on while having sex!! If your favorite team scores at the right time it makes it even better.

Funny, I was thinking about that. All my life I never had a tv in my room no one in my house had. Thats was something you had to come downstairs and do.
When I moved away at 19 to become a live in nanny the provided me a tv for my room I took it but the thing just sits there and collects dust. other then days i have been sick and watched a movie I never use the thing. I just generally don't watch tv. I do go on my computer and talk to people. I always wanted one in my room, now thats it's there i have turned it on maybe like 10 times in over 12 months.

I had one to, to help me fall asleep.
Then i started getting so into some of the late night shows i started staying up later to catch up on crap like sex and the city and stuff like that.
Finally sold it so i would be able to sleep. Now i just listen to my playlists from my laptop and read till i drift off.
I prefer bookworms to TV watchers though. More interesting breed of people.

not sure if odd is the word ~ I'd guess you are a spectator , heart , mind body and soul.

Do you enjoy watch others eat?

Yes I have one in my bedroom. My satellite tv network has all the sirius music channels that I have in my car so it's usually on one of my favorites. What I don't have is a radio in my bedroom. I haven't listened to am or fm for years because of their commercials and if I need an alarm clock my cell phone has an alarm with snooze feature.

No, we do not, never have, never will. Studies have shown that couples with TVs in their bedrooms tend to have less sex and less communication. We have plenty of sex and communication - and still find time to read a little!

We have one TV in the living area, and tend to record most programs and watch them later. That way, we can pause them to have sex - or fast forward to skip commercials!

for years i HAD to have the tv on to go to sleep...always said it drowned out the voices in my head...somebody else mentioned that, too....whew!, glad i'm not the only one...lol...
now the bed room is for sleeping, reading, talking & you know that other good stuff...it so much better now that i can go to sleep with the sound of my lover's voice the last thing in my head...makes for sweet dreams.
