Guys who post a profile picture with a girl in it (The ex) or so obviously cut out of it, do they actually think that this will ATTRACT a woman?!

I totaly agree with this one - why do I want to see a prespective date enjoying another woman? I don't!

^^^well I see your point, but if they don't want to have a picture of themselves, its better to have a picture of those things you mentioned than a picture of some other person. Bottom line is that if they don't wanna show their photo then they aren't gonna :)

There is a space at the bottom that says something to the effect that"In order to e-mail XXXX you must be"
Hardly anyone fills it in and then they just ignore your message. If you have requirements say so then others won't waste their time writing to you.

The so called people who think someones spelling is more important then anything !
Lo0k if your worried about how someone posted their profile and theres a spelling mistake I got one thing to say to you people!
Get the F off your dead horse as it died years ago !
Any Piss Head thinking someones spelling is a most important thing in someones profile is nothing but a sick worthless A with out a hole !
And also when you ad in these same professional spellers never post their pic either is another thing thats at my Top pet peeves list.
I'm a two finger typest for one and no I didn't take typing in High school. And if I hit the wrong key who the F cares as long as my message is what it is about!

#2PEEVE : You so called professional's who think your gods gift !LOL
Look I have more degrees then alot of people on here! I know if you lost your job tommorrow you'd be crying ! Me I would be taking a vacation and then maybe get back to work at something else .

And I don't care if you like my direct in your face personality or not !!
Most of you need to get the hell off line and get into the real world and date someone for a change instead of using the internet as an excuse not to meet someone.

An open lie right in their profile so you actually have no idea of how old they are.... just the fact they lie. Nope, not for me!

My number one pet peeve in profiles is that after you have read a profile and send them an e mail, noone answers you back. Also that half the time noone answers all the questions that are asked of you, makes you think they are hiding something!

#1 Not posting a picture....
#2 Posting one picture from 4 years ago....

I think everyone should have 4 or 5 pictures and change them every 6 months.....
Digital camera's make this quick and easy....

After all it is a "Dating Site" and I don't think it's shallow to want to see some pictures of someone that's contacted you and I think anyone serious about meeting someone and really want to meet someone, would post some pictures.... I've noticed that a large % of the women in my city don't post any....

But that's just me..

As for myself I am hesitant to contact someone who isn't smiling in their main pic. I like the serious look but for the main pic I like to see you smiling at me ;)

Profiles that are too long will loose my interest unless your write it in a way to keep me reading!

I also don't like to look at a pic of you with your girlfriend and guess which one you are lol. If I think your both hot then that wont matter

Those that think the age field is just a suggestion. I regularly see profiles saying 29, 32, 35 years old when clearly they're 45 if they're a day. They might be a good looking 45, and that's something to be proud of, but just because your friends say "You look so young, you could pass for __," it's still a lie.

At what point do you reveal the deception? When your social security starts rolling in 10 years early? When they meet your children you had when apparently you were 11 years old? Age might only be a number, but numbers don't lie, and neither should you.

about the cliches yes, I even give a very short rant about people who post "don't want someone who's into head games" ... well again, DUUUH ...who does. Please, please, people do NOT put this in your profile, as it just signals that you haven't resolved your issues with a) people you've met on this site, b) your past relationships, c)your present relationships d) most people...

This is a really Great site and hopefully one day I will meet HER.
I was on another dating site a while back, and my Pet peeve list would of been very long.
My only complaint on here is when a woman asks me 20 questions in her original (1st)message. I answer them fully/honestly.

Her reply back to ME is ONE WORD ! ? "cool" or I.C...etc.
Then they wonder why I don't keep in touch ?

Other than this... I luv this site (met a lot of Great friends)
In fact now my search is just for friends.

I agree with coyote009... people taking pictures of themselves in the mirror. Especially when guys do it without their shirts. nononononono

-a slew of spelling mistakes
-cliche after cliche..
I dont mind when people have little or nothing on their profiles, as long as they write an interesting/engaging message.

I get a good laugh out of the profiles that ask for "no baggage" and then say they love to travel.

But seriously. As a man I find it difficult to comprehend how a woman can have a profile where the answer to "do you want children" is "prefer not to say". I also dont quite get the "not single not looking" with a first date of a dinner at a nice restaurant. Another one is the comment that they "want a serious relationship starting as friends" and when you message the reply is "we are not compatible". My friends are not all love interests either.

But best of all is my favourite. "married and looking for a discreet encounter with a married man" MUST BE VERY HONEST. Figure that one out if you can.

If you don't write to them and have them not reply back, how do you know they're hypocrites?

As for non-response, I'm always at a loss for how to say "Not interested" without being harsh or sounding like I think I'm too good for them. To twist an old saying, better to be silent and thought a jerk than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

1. Prefer not to say (esp when it is under the single/sep/divorced category..that usually leads me to beleive they are married)

Peeve #1:
People who choose to post profile photos then claim to any potential contact they "Must have a photo, it's only fair"

In my opinion, it's not fair. How can it be fair if you are telling someone to change their preference (no photo)? If that is the case, I want you to change a preference. Let's say....ummmm.... you show me your boobies and I'll send you my photo. I think compromise is fair. - lol.

Some people don't get it. I don't post a photo because I am not all that interested in meeting any new people online (no photo is one way of attaining such a quest)..... I know enough people from this site already.

Peeve #2:
Those who leave slutty testimonials in their profile. Nothing says "I date skank" better than a woman who allows sexually charged testimonials in her profile. That's not flattering.

Those who submit, "People say I am a great catch (keeper)..."
Big deal... it doesn't exclude you from lists such as "Other things your 'ex and those who dated you once' say about you."

Peeve #4:
Photos of older (especially overweight) women wearing skin tight pants and a tank top. Nothing says "Give me Gravol" moreso than an old, wrinkly Pillsbury Dough boy/girl.... all the viagra in the world wouldn't help.

Footnote: Spandex is just as bad.

Junglefish the whole add me to their favorates and then never respond to an email even when I initiate first contact makes me scratch my head too.

The pouty faced pictures are hilarious. Like every one of those women took the same photography class hahahahaha

Pictures of people from 15 years ago. Fer gawd sakes update the pictures!!! I know of a few people who have very flattering pictures of themselves on the site and then when you meet them in person you rub your eyes and think to yourself 'yeah, that's her ... 20 years older but that's her ...'

Glamorshots ... oy vey no one looks good in glamor shots!!!! You know the ones!!??? Studio pictures that make your hair look huge, your make up painted on, and poses that would make sears catalogue models chuckle!!!

People who say they are honest. No kiddin? Not going to tell anyone you are a liar huh? lol

People who are too lazy to write out full sentences. The short form of words on the internet is alright up to a point, but must every word a person writes be an icon ro short form?

I think someone mentioned one or two of the following already but I just had to repeat them here as well:

- Saying you are a particular body type when you are not. Since when is being 80 pounds overweight become average? I'm certainly not perfect or a physical specimen to behold, but I'm honest!!!

- People who give you a laundry list of what they are looking for in a person without telling you anything about themselves.

- People who put up so many barriers on who can contact them that it would be virtually impossible for them to ever receive an email!!! For example, To contact John/Jane Doe you must:
Not Drink, Not Smoke, Be between 35-36 Years Old, Between 6 foot and 6.25 feet tall, weigh no less than 145 pounds but no more than 155, have an iq of 210, not be married/divorced/seperated/have kids/want kids, must love dogs/cats/iguana's/chia pets/a variety of rodents, must make above 70, 000 a year/must live within 2 km of me, must have hair (but not cut too short or left really long), perfect teeth, hung like a mule but smell like a rose garden (hahahaha) .... I mean good greif people ....

- People who complain on their profiles they can't meet anyone ... gee wonder why oh glass is half full ...

- People who have to point out that they aren't players ... if you HAVE TO POINT THAT OUT THEN YOU ARE A PLAYER!!!

The most annoying things to me are:

1. "Must have a picture to contact.." I can see the logic but the system does not allow you to contact someone by releasing your private picture. It has to be public or it's a no go. There are ways around this but it seems to be an annoying design flaw.

2. Restrictions on who can contact you. Again, there's a logic to blocking messages from people who are married or who are seeking intimate encounters but to block someone looking to date because you are looking for long term is a bit odd (to me) since most LT relationships start with dates.

3. Any profile posted by someone not yet ready. I suppose, back in the day, I was guilty of this too and I suppose it's more sad than annoying but still...

I always interpret "Prefer Not To Say" in the worst possible way.
A couple examples:
Have children= "Prefer Not To Say" means has 10 kids and pregnant
Smokes = "Prefer Not To Say" means I have a tobacco farm to support my habit
