Okay, and in the song No Reply, the dudes a stalker. Song lyrics aren't always reflective of real life. They can be a form of fiction. I mean do you believe Stephen King drives a haunted car and hangs cats around his house?
Contrast it other songs the were writing at the time like, I'm a Loser and Don't Bother Me.
The interesting thing is the first line is a nod to The King. Elvis sings it in the song, I Wanna Play House With You.
