There is no point. Once you meet it is quite obvious we are what we are.

If you cannot love me fat, why would I want you to love me skinny?
Why do men put so much emphisis on the weight thing?
Looks are important in the beginning. I am not 25 anymore. I do the best with what I got. I have never been thrown out of bed and that is a fact.
I am looking for someone to love me for who I really am.

Why do some men say they have a 9 inch penis and it is more like 5 or 6? Why do men post older pictures and say they go to the gym and do not? Enlighten me...please.

Soooo..... how's that working for ya?

And btw... maybe you should lose weight for YOU - not a man. The ladies who are ok with their weights (even the big ones) don't spout whiney drivel like this.

Jana60 there was a lot of wisdom in your post.

It's going to take me a bit to digest it. I have never considered that angle befre.

Men lie about height, weight, muscular builds and hair. Beware the man who always has a hat on in his pictures.

You know, you either move to the meeting for a coffee or drink or you have dinner and get to know someone you liked until you found out she was an old fart that needs to diet and exercise.

Is it that embarassing to be with someone less pretty than you thought she was? Will anyone have a clue that you are on a date versus having dinner with a friend?

I've had men thank me for looking like my pictures and I have gone out with guys that had a picture that was more than ten years old. I enjoyed myself in both scenarios because I wasn't hung up on how someone looked.

see.. and I know I'm a minority here.. but, I think people but way to many restrictions on who they want to meet. Sure sure.. some is OK.. but to have a laundry list? Mine is simple.. I want a man who is happy with himself, who can take care of himself, who is nice, honest and respectful. No mention of anything else, no need to lie about what you look like or who you are. Obviously noone is going to contact me and say "I'm a disrespectful jerk who will drain your bank account and cheat on you every chance I get", but that's the risk of dating. My hope is men who know they are pathological liars, or who can't take care of themselves will not contact me. All the others have a fair chance. I used to have a specific type.. but I found that I was attracted to many different shapes and sizes of men and it had more to do with them, than their physical appearance. So now I have no type, my only qualification is that I am attracted to you. Why would you lie? How could you lie? You have no idea what I am attracted to! The guys I have dated are so diverse in physical appearance that you couldn't even look at my history and say.. "oh! this is her type" One of the most physically attractive men I have ever dated was shorter than I. The guy I am dating now is older then I, the guy I was dating was younger and larger than I. I know people say it's crap, but I really, truly am attracted to intelligence more then looks, however if you don't take care of yourself I'm not going to be attracted anyway, no matter how much you stimulate me intellectually. There has to be a balance between the two.

This got longer than I intended, sorry about that. Basically I think people need to be more accepting of others as they are, perhaps then others won't feel the need to lie about trivial things. (which BTW.. height and weight.. both trivial, but I digress)

Gwendolyn, I think you need to change your profile. You are more average, than a few extra pounds. Some of us dont give ourselves enough credit.

Well, I have to say that being completely honest about your weight, age, height and size gets you no where around here either. But, I am kind of glad it doesn't. I posted one of my pics I took of myself before I even got out of bed on this thing so that anyone crusing by would know the absolute worst they're gonna get. So, you tell me. Fat and honest? Or, thin and dishonest?

This may be true for you, but it's not true for everyone.

I am 100% honest and transparent about everything..... and I get plenty of attention.

I'm relatively broke right now, going to school again, living in the middle of hillbillyville, WV, AND divorced. And my dog hates women. And I'm an uber geek who owns his own set of armor and prepares for a zombie invasion.

I still get attention.

I don't get why other people don't.

I don't care what other people may think in that situation. If I met a nice woman that I simply wasn't overly attracted to, I still could have a polite conversation with her during a date. However if a woman had used blatantly old / deceptive photos, then being dishonest about her looks would be the issue. Not necessarily her looks itself.

If all these fat asses on fishes ever do go out and lose weight,
who the heck are you guys going to date? Obviously the good looking
thin women aren't interested in you...otherwise you wouldn't be here.
and certainly after someone does lose weight they aren't going to be
interested in you...AND
who the heck will we **** about in the forums?
I'm not actually complaining about myself...I don't have anything to complain
about.
Somehow the weight issue brings out the best in people (or maybe it's the worst
I don't know) and it isn't pretty.

I really don't get how so many of you guys are getting fooled by old pics.

Well, I admit I got a little suspicious when one of the pictures was of her at a Houston Oilers game...

And let's not forget male baldness lol...

I look pretty much the same as I did 10 years ago, but I'm more rugged, tougher, have lost that "lovin' feelin'", that tenderness, that sensitivity...trying to get it back...

Given a bit more love in our lives, I'm sure we'd all LOOK younger! Guess a loveless existence speeds up the aging process.

Men and women lie equally it seems.I have told a few of my close female friends about this site and they have the same complaints as I do.It seems most put up old pictures and weight is the biggest lie. Then ages seems to follow. In my past realationship i was lied to extensively so you can say I'll be slightly scared by that.I don't care how cute or nice someone is if I catch them in a lie right away there gone.I can deal with inperfection because I'm realistic.I feel like a very flexable person just be honest. The only major turn offs I have are liars, posesive/controling/****y women and sorry anyone that is grossly over weight.I really have no prefference after that hair color, height,eyes,kids,10 years younger,10 years older, I guess if someone is nice I probably give them a chance.Just dont lie is all I ask.
