Did he really forget his wallet??Page 3 of 4    (1, 2, 3, 4)
Sounds a little fishy to me considering you didn't hear from him again. He stuck you with the bill as a way of getting out of a date that he wasn't all that satisfied with.

On the flip side, it could be true. I found a wallet the other day outside of some guy's car. Seriously, I did. Turned it in to the Starbucks in case he checks in there to see if someone turned it in.

To go on the first date without a wallet is pathetic. And so intentional...

Maybe he missed his AA meeting and you enabled him!

Always ask for separate tabs before the drinks/food starts coming. If after that he doesn't order anything - then it's up to you to treat, or let him watch you eat or drink.

I don't think he forgot anything. But just in case, let the next guy tell the waitress about it instead of you.

^^It wasn't even a date, really - I don't believe they'd met before that, and it was only a couple of drinks.

However - women can usually tell fairly quickly if they are at least attracted and will get along with a guy. For most of us, that sums up "really like" - the interest in wanting to know more.

I do disagree that she'd have been ok with it even if she was attracted. Stuff like that can change your opinion especially if you feel it's intentional.

same thing as my "credit card" thread. What they basically said on there is when you split checks, don't pick up his.

I love it when women expect the guy to pay the entire tab but when a woman has to, they don't want to pay for his.

Most women, myself included that won't pick up the tab for a guy during a meet, are typically fair about this and also don't expect him to pick up the tab for her either. It's up to the individuals beyond that to offer to do so if they choose.

The bottom line here is the expectation. I am sure most who don't have their wallet usually say something before the food or drinks get ordered, or discover it way before the check comes.

Or my question, was his credit card "really" declined? Something in me highly doubts it. Any man worth being a man comes prepared to face the world. Losers make excuses.

I also had a guy forget his wallet. We met for the date at coffee shop then go to bar was the plan. He was 20 min late; He sat down for a minute, we made some small talk, how r u, i asked how long it took to drive here, he said an hour. So I said lets just go to the bar now as I was drinking my water and was bored. I paid for my water he said I just have to go get my wallet then we will walk to the bar as it was 2 min walk. He never came back. Why would he do this?

Well it wasnt there but i were lucky enough to find some money in the car to pay for two cups of hot chocolate. Not all of us play games,,, S**t happens.

He wanted a free drink. He's a creep and a loser. Count yourself lucky that he didn't have dinner. Next time, just meet for coffee.

A guy forgot his walet? That is an old,old trick ! No man forget his wallet because of his *driver licence*, never mind his credit cards and cash.

If a man do that trick to me, I'll ask a separate bill to pay for my water, then .. "sorry I did not put my wallet in my purse just my coins bag" wait here I saw someone I know ,I'll try if I can borrow some dollars to pay your drinks................. then escape to the nearest EXIT..

Casino bars here in Nevada pay as you order drinks... so I really don't know if some bars give the order and leave the tab ,and pay before leaving...

PS. I don't mind buying a man a beers and dinners as long as he doesn't full a trick on me,because if I full a trick on him he WON'T LIKE IT TOO.

If a guy really forgot his wallet, he would notice BEFORE the bill came. The fake patting of the pockets is a ruse.

That said, there is quite a double standard here. Lots of the girls are willing to go dutch, but it seems that only a few would be willing to pay for someone else. Many of the ones that would go dutch would graciously accept if the man offered to pay, but look down upon the tables being turned. I am amazed that people would walk out on a person over a $15 tab, to leave them to suffer.
